Made the .apk finally. Has almost 500 fonts. 28mb in size. Installation remains the same. Enjoy!
This is a pretty cool way to get a bunch of fonts. It does take a little work but not much. You need to erase your other fonts in system/app first. Then push this in said location and fix permissions rw r r. Restart. Has lots of fonts and works well from your regular settings interface.

JoshBeach has his JellyBomb fonts pack to on his server that works on Kit Kat as well as the s5 port too. Just FYI

Ya, that is a good one. However, I don't think it has as many fonts and that apk is 25 mbs. Whereas this one is only 16. Good to have options.

I'm getting 'Unfortunately, Settings has stopped.' I did as the instructions suggested but do you have to go in and delete all other font apk's within the system/app folder, not just the SamsungSans apk that this replaces?

Yes there is a font issue with that rom. There is a workaround available by using font installer from play store. DO NOT delete system/fonts. Delete Samsungsans, RoseEukor, ChocoEukor, CoolEukor, and DroidSansSherifItalic from system/app.

I'm not sure if it'll work on that rom. But you would use any file explorer with root privileges and push this app to system/app and set permissions after erasing the others. Whenever I have a moment I'll download that rom and see what's up. It may be a matter of pushing a different settings.apk to system/priv-app and setting permissions. That's where I would start at least.

I deleted the other .apk files you listed. Then I dl the .apk. Used Root Explorer to move it to system/app. Then change permissions. Them click on and try to install.

For what it's worth, I downloaded Josh Beach's font pack and had the same trouble. Seems to be a known issue for this ROM. I'm on Vision_X. Font installers from the market don't work either.

Ya, just dl them. Cant just install it, says application not installed. Guess rename to vending and put in /system/app

no need to push/put it in /system/app. all I did was change the name of the one I want to Vending.apk, put it on my sdcard and used Astro File Manager's App Manager to install it. worked perfect on eVil D's DoubleShot

Permissions should be rw-r-r, correct? I did not check what they were before replacing "stock" dsp on CM7. It seems to be working fine using rw-r-r so I assume that's correct.

Yes, rw for the first row (top to bottom) r for second row and r for third. Worked for me. But for some reason when I rebooted and looked in my manage all apps, couldnt find the old DSP. No matter though cuz I went straight to testing and it worked. Must have really had something to do with rewriting the permissions. Thanks again man like I said in CM7 thread, good find and work around! RC1 was having the horrible crashes with DSP and with this work around it stopped. I now think this ROM should be listed as stable lol.

Thanks for posting this! I have replaced this DSP manager with the one that in the CM7 flash file so whenever I need to reflash it will work.
I'm still having issues with DSP crashing. It crashes on start-up even after the new DSP apk is copy and pasted into the system/app folder. Stock DSP is deleted.

Makes sure the file size is 36.02 kb. If it's bigger its still the original. And if it still doesn't work re download from the link.

It's based on region.
the black one is modded and from the 2 at the bottom, the right is an older version. The most countrys have the left one.

I think it's either because Play Store is a system app or the modded apk does not match the signature of the original Play Store.

To quote the 2nd post here, Google is blocking a lot of apps of there's that have been themed. The signature may be another issue also. Best bet in that case would be to remove the play store from system/app and try to install the other one. I've had this issue on several roms

Deleted the 1st point.
Take a backup of your current playstore first.. Delete the play store.. Then using same file manger.. Copy the modded play store in system/app with permissions rw-r--r.. Then restart your device..

And if i'm right, just need to copy the modded .apk in syste/app with premissions "rw-r--r.." right? Suggest a file manager to do that because I'm currently using stock Cyanogenn mod's file manager

Yes you can do it via titanium..
Tap in the play store .. Scroll to r8 you will verify - backup - uninstall . it will remove as well as take backup .. Use es file explorer to set permissions..

For anyone who would like to use/install SwiftKey keyboard as a system application, do the following:
1- download apk and open with a file explorer with zip support.
2-Go to folder /lib/armebi
3-copy the lib file/s there to /system/lib folder with 644 permissions.
4-Then move the app apk to /system/app folder with 644 permission.
5- Reboot and enjoy your keyboard installed as a system application.
*Pl note using this method eve a modified version with different signatures than the original app can be installed as a system application.
* This very same method works for other keyboards as well..... ☺

after doing this i got many fc after reboot. everything gave fc home, setting etc etc.
edit: found the problem i had to rename the app without any space or _ that was causing error.

It could be a good workaround for phones with less than 1 gb ram. Otherwise its useless. On my side no FC even it is installed at normal app.
well i followed this and installed it as system app and now i feel that my keyboard is fast and snappy and i get it instant without any lags or fc. so overall performance is better :good:
Great tip for low ram users, however for me it's not worth the hassle due to it's frequent development updates, meaning that I'll have to redo the process on every new update, on mine it's already snappy and no FCs. Thanks tho!

Storage. Not ram. Moving apps to /system do not save ram.
And like some have said, Swiftkey updates frequently, unless you're going to constantly move the new version to /system, the update will reside in /data anyway.
And it's not going to make it more stable. Swiftkey is stable.
Yes but if you're running a lot of apps in thr background on a less ram phone the keyboard sometime disappears on your screen until the app itself starts again.
And SwiftKey is the best stabilised keyboard app.

It's the gmail 5.0 with material design. Install like normal apk. Then reboot to avoid force close. Enjoy.

I got force close after installation. But later I rebooted. And now works like a charm.

You need to remove/rename/disable old Gmail, reboot and install this new one. Then it should work.

What's ur issue. Try to Redownload and install like normal apk. U will be informed as new update.
Open gmail after install. U might get force close.
Just reboot and again open gmail.
Ur good to go..

Sorry....dont work for me gmail.
And I have messanger and keyboard material version to.
The thing that make me not use Gmail app, that no option to select all mails ..
You have to edit buildprop: ro.build.type to: userdebug then reboot

I had same FC issue... here's what worked for me:
1. Do the buildprop edit then reboot
2. Delete all instances of gmail (i.e., Manage Applications and uninstall updates... then delete any gmail.apk in system/app folder.
3. Copy "PrebuiltGmail.apk" to /system folder and fix permissions (rw.r..r..) , then MOVE to /system/app folder (not priv-app)
4. reboot
You should be able to then launch v5.0 and sign in. Good luck.
Working well.
All I did was Installing it as normal apk, then I ran it - got FC
Restarted phone - got FC when ran it
Ran again and it is working cool now ^^

I try to install but it say pakage was not install.i try disable gmail app but it wont work to.
