AT&T S4 Zoom PSA:
The firmware for the AT&T SM-C105A is not on the Samsung server. This information regarding the now missing firmware is a result of conversations with Samsung T3 ATS and Samsung Experience Reps.
I have also been unable to locate the AT&T version of the firmware on any of the online archives as well.
As a result, if you trigger the AT&T "unauthorized software" lock you cannot restore the device. Recovery gets locked out, Odin will not flash an alternate firmware and unless a service center already has a copy of the AT&T firmware, they cannot help either.

Which firmware are you speaking of? The last update I received for my c105a was 4.2.2. I check daily, however I did not think that the KitKat update had rolled out yet...
EDIT: Never mind. I just drank my first cup of coffee for the day and reread your PSA. So it looks like the stock firmware has been removed from the Samsung site? This seems odd. Any new information regarding the firmware?

Can you get an adb response if so I have a dd.image of the full mmcblck0 Let me Know if you need it
I was able to get it reflashed but have pretty much given up on and consider it a very expensive (+$500) mistake. It now has dead sites on the main CMOS sensor and I've had a hell of a time getting any response from Samsung about an RMA.

I am also interested in the fix for this as I am trying to fix my brothers phone. Someone tried to software modify a phone he sold online and then returned it to him after they realized they messed the phone up and there was no fix. Ebay sided with the buyer and now my brother is screwed out of a phone and the money until I can fix it.

if you still have this dd.image I desperately need it or a full odin image for the SM-C105A (US AT&T Version)
Thanks very much!
firmware is nowhere to be found yet. with a dd.image this could be solved and even build an odin flashable one.
Any news on this?

Hi everyone,
Just got my AT&T Galaxy Note, about to Root it, Overclock/Undervolt, etc.
Does anyone know if there's a stock ROM for it floating about, that would make it a hair easier, if not, away we go! Will start a new thread as soon as things are ready, it will probably be an Odin Kernel flash root so note that it will trigger the custom binary counter in Odin, although no ones run into problems with that yet that I know of..
Hope you figure out how to root 2.3.6
So far, no one has figured out how to root the international version (LA4)
if they update via kies without downgrading, rooting, upgrading via ODIN.
Glad to see you over here.
Really quiet in here. Hopefully some action for the Rogers I717R Note also.

That was the phone that got me on the android bandwagon. If he can root this, I will donate $100 simply because I've had the phone for 5 hours and am sick of the bloat already.
I can supply a dump but thats about it!
I'm uploading a system dump now for anyone to pick through when they toast theirs. more of a safety precaution than anything.

You should be able to get a stock firmware of any Samsung phone by using CheckFUS
Download "check fus" from the market and run it on your phone. Note the exact model number, Product Code, PDA, CSC, PHONE values.
Then open on your computer Checkfus you downloaded from the website i linked above,
1) click advanced tab
2) chose OS as Android
3) Model SGH-i717
4) Product Code, copy from your phone's check fus app
5) Hidswver: copy the PDA/CSC/PHONE/PDA info from the check fus on your phone
Click the check firmware button and it should let you download the most recent firmware for your phone.
I don't have the phone but this worked for just about any Samsung phone i had, including AT&T models.
If someone can provide me the product code and relevant information using check fus i would appreciate it as i am trying to download a stock rom
I want to adapt it for use in the korean rom

I've seen many people experience the same problem I have and it's that I can't install the Lollipop update at all. Tried this on my brothers Mate 2 and it didn't work as well and his is all stock (No root, nothing)
- Mine is rooted
- Stock recovery, switched back from TWRP
- Unlocked bootloader
Took this off of @GadgetStrutter cause I have the same problem's he's having
1. Extracted B309 to formatted SD card and tried to flash (Software install failed!)
2. Updated my rooted B126 to B148 and tried to flash from SD card again (Software install failed!)
3. Unrooted my B148 and tried to flash from SD card again (Software install failed!)
4. Reformatted SD card and redownloaded B309 and extracted it into root folder, and then trying again after (Software install failed!)
5. Rerooted my phone, but in B148 this time. Tried to restart and flash from SD card.. (Software install failed!)
- Got my phone from Wind Mobile, read threads and apparently made it into the stock B148 rom, (MT2-L03V100R001C00B148)
PLEASE, I'm HELLA impatient when it comes to software updates and I'm sure so is the Huawei community

The thing is, multiple users who have bought the HAM 2 from Wind have converted it to into the stock version and are able to update to Lollipop.
I read a bunch of posts saying you can turn your HAM 2 CC Variant into the Stock HAM 2 by download the stock 4.3 rom, call me a bull****ter but I'm just stating what the HAM community says.

That's incorrect. While you can flash the stock b148 onto the CC/Wind variant, its not a full convert. Lollipop update will always fail. There is currently no way to fully convert or fool Huawei updater to think it is the OEM version.
I assure you, no one has gotten Lollipop onto the CC/Wind variant yet.

Do you think there is any way to get lollipop update with a TWRP backup or possibly a release for the CC or Wind Variant (Or is it released by Wind themselves)?

A TWRP backup won't work like last time. They changed partition sizes of the boot/system...so when TWRP tries to flash the Lollipop backup it runs out of space and fails.
I doubt that Wind/CC will update it.
Everyone is still hoping someone will come up with a way to flash it. Just gonna take some time.

Is there no available method to increse the size of the boot/system partition? I'm sure there has to be a way but someone isn't and wont look for it. Correct me if I'm wrong but can't you create a partition reserved just for that with an additional size adjustment?

I'm sure there is a way, but the developers here don't have the CC/Wind variant, and can't do any testing.
And they say it is risky thing to do.
Huawei should have been more clear but the Lollipop is ONLY for the US HAM2, MT2-L03. No variants are included, yet. That means Wind and Consumer Cellular will not work using the published methods.
I am not calling anyone a liar. If someone with a variant has been able to update to Lollipop then they really need to create a thread and post how they did it.
Perhaps this?

You could try flashing stock recovery, but I believe the update works without it.
Your final option is to do the OEM conversion just to make sure its fully OEM.

No disrespect, but your information is either oudated or absolutely wrong about not being able to convert the wind mobile variant. I just did it today following the guide with what other wind owners said and am running b322 now. I'm only writing this because your posts made me stay away from upgrading for a LONG time. If you don't mind annotating what you said, it would really help others.
So, follow the guide. If when you flash twrp it doesn't work seem to work, simply boot it instead then flash the oem zip and then you can flash oem 4.3. After that, following the guide you should have no issues going straight to b322. Don't do any updates through android itself, power off and use the three button method. It's not hard but it did take me close to an hour if not more.

You do see that this is a thread from July. A lot has happened since then. It might be outdated now but was most likely correct at the time it was posted.
Thank you for encouraging others to try the conversion\upgrade, though.
Yep, I know it's from July, but so is the conversion guide hence why it can be confusing, especially coming from a senior member. In any case, I hope this helps Wind users. I really like the new android and I can't say I've noticed any software bugs yet, it's running great!

My phone is a T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900T. A while back I decided to root it. After rooting it, I realized you cannot use Snapchat and I wanted to unroot it. Now, that I am trying to unroot it and return it back to stock; it won't. Yes it is unrooted and I know this because I installed Snapchat and used it last night. That is not the problem. The root is GONE. No matter what I do I cannot get it to flash a different firmware. I used a superuser, that was posted in here. It was like superuser something zip. It was not the old way, like when you flashed it through Odin. This one you actually unzipped it through the Team Win recovery. And the ROM that I used, Is the one that is on here now that I cannot get it off. It is a Marshmallow 6.0.1. I found posted in here too. If this helps, the emojis are not the flat minimalist looking ones, like Twitter uses. They are very round raised embossed kind of shiny and cartoon-ish looking. I have went to a post in here with all the firmwares listed, I went to samsung update and to sammobile. I have gotten different builds for my model of phone. And nothing this will not get off. I have tried to restore it back to stock and no it will not? Why can't I get this rom off my phone? :crying:Can anyone help me. I feel like I am crazy. But I can assure you this is the truth!

Hi,
I have a Galaxy S9+ that was originally on Sprint, but I unlocked it with them after paying it off and moved to a different carrier (Mint Mobile.) However, it is still full of the sprint bloatware and always prompts for carrier updates that never work. I'm assuming this is because it is trying to get Sprint stuff still?
I was thinking of flashing to the unlocked rom, but I am a bit puzzled with this phone. It seems tricker than other phones I've flashed. I've flashed all my other android phones previously, but I'm nervous and don't want to brick this device by flashing the wrong file! Can someone point me in the right direction, please?
Model: SM-G965U

Mine didn't... We left sprint about 4 months ago and it still has all the sprint bloatware and the splash screen, etc... I can't get it to go away! Sprint confirmed the device is completely unlocked on their end.
I thought it was going to switch firmware automatically with the new SIM but it didn't.

You could flash the U1(factory unlocked) firmware ending in 3ARK5. It was recommended to me to use the one with product code XAA, which I guess is purely carrier-free. When you flash it you'll want to use the patched Odin and use CSC rather than HOME_CSC, so that it will fully wipe your phone and set everything all up to work properly according to your sim card.
@YrrchSebor, I couldn't find 3ARK5/XAA. I did find 3ARJ5/XAR here:

I actually flashed over from Verizon over a month ago, and I got a string of OTA updates up to ARJ6, but for some reason I got no update to ARK5, so I just flashed it manually. The main thing is to use a firmware with the same bootloader version, which you have by chosing one with a 3. I will say I couldn't be happier since switching to the unlocked firmware.

Hmm, that Odin might be an official one? You want the one with patcheD in the file name, looks like you can get it in the first post here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/patched-odin-3-13-1-t3762572
Reason for this is that official Odin will not flash a firmware that doesn't match up with what is already on the phone, so the patched version ignores that check.
Awesome. I'll download that one, then.
Thanks again for your help!
Sounds good, good luck and keep us posted.
Sorry, one more question to clarify- should I just clash the CSC or would you recommend I do BL, AP, and CP as well?

No problem, you'll wanna do all of them. Definitely AP because I believe that's the system with the apps(or lack of) and everything else. I did all four of them and that way my phone is fully as if it was a U1 out of the box.
Sweet. And I should just leave USERDATA blank right? So it is a complete factory reset?
Yep, you won't find a userdata in that download anyway. Just use CSC instead of HOME_CSC and it should all be good. Back anything up first if you really need it later. after the flash it will boot up and then shut down again so that it can configure everything according to your sim, so make sure and let that happen.
Success! Working better than before now. Thanks for your help.
Arright, glad you got it working, enjoy! One of my favorite things about the unlocked firmware has got to be the free built-in caller ID
