Unread exchange widget? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello.
Hello.
I'm looking for a widget that properly report the number of unread emails from my exchange account configured in the application of Google stock. So far as any widget like Dashclock, Teslaunread, missed it! and others do it correctly, because if an email app mark a email as read any widget work properly.
The only thing that has worked for me is the default from Asus widget. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1234808
Does anyone know any other widget that works?
thanks

[Q] email or messaging icon doesn't show unread email count.

Doesn't matter if I use the email or messaging icon on my home screen I still can't see how many unread emails I have. Yes gmail work's fine using either the 'gmail unread count' or Zeam Launcher (or even GO Launcher EX). However my yahoo accounts (of which you can only see one unless using the stupid messaging app which doesn't show gmail but does show texts, I presume idea was to have a one stop shop for messaging but then left out gmail!) refuse to show on the icon like it did on my Desire.
Any ideas (aside from rooting).

Gmail unread count

Anyone here know if Gmail still has the stupid rule that 3rd party app's will not work for unread count for gmail?
What is everyone using as a workaround for this?
im sure you could turn sync off with gmail and simply use your other app.
I looked into this yesterday for a personal project I'm working on and there is a Gmail api for reading new and unread messages, so it is possible. Haven't looked for any apps though.

exchange client problem

I setup two accounts on the stock email client and placed a widget on the homescreen.
The hotmail synchronizes and rings the notification without any problem, but my second account
which is gmail doesnt sync most of the time and never does it notificate a new email and it
does not update the widget itself.
Anyone have a fix for that?

[Q] Theme with gmail and corporte(exchange) mail unread counts

Hi,
I'm new to Android. I'm looking for a theme that has a mail unread count for Gmail, and also has a mail unread count for my corporate email account (exchange). It seems that the themes only have one field for email, are their any that have two, so I can see my unread counts for both accounts?
thanks.

Unfortunately not yet, however icon notifications will still work. We are looking into this feature for future builds.
I've been debating trying out themer instaed of Nova so thanks for this. It seems to still be a a bit more limited than Nova.

You will still encounter the same issue with Nova, as it's using the Zooper Widget app to display notifications. It is limited in terms of features, however these will all be included soon.

Notification Badges not working on same apps

Hello xda community,
Recently I have jumped back from iPhone to android and decided to buy mate 10 pro - I have been loving it so far. There is only one issue I can't fix no matter what:
Notification badges (count) doesn't appear on 2 email apps I use: on Inbox and on Outlook.
I have tried everything. I have set power options so that these applications have all permissions, I have checked the in-app settings to see if everything is enabled there, I have checked that notifications are enabled for all emails within the apps and I have long pressed the home screen, went under notification Badge app icons and have set Badge display mode to Unread message and gave that permission to all apps.
After doing all that, notification badges appear on messaging app, SMS app, Dialer - but not on my two emailing apps.
Is there any trick I'm missing here. I work with two email accounts alot, so if anyone could help me resolve, or tell me if the badges work for them would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Leafberry
The first suggestion I'd make is that you amalgamate all of your mail accounts into K-9 Mail and forget about the double-handling.
I can tell you that the badges work with K-9 Mail, though if there are more than 9 unread messages, the badge will be a single white dot in the centre of the badge background. Is this what you're experiencing with Inbox and Outlook, or are there simply no badges applied to the icons whatsoever?
I haven't tried either Outlook or Inbox on my Mate 10 Pro but I'm currently using this email app which I have been using it since I had my iPhone 5s and it works great. I'm running over 10 email accounts within the app and it's been great so far.
And regards to your problem, the badge works fine for it as now I have 31 of unread emails.
I can't post a link as I'm a new member but you can try to download the app Play Store. The app is in Beta stage:
Email - Fast & Secure mail for Gmail Outlook & more (Beta)
