So is this device a fake or not?
Thx in advance

Imei is prob useless now you posted it. Remove the pic. Never ever show you're imei to any one.
Also mine says made by Samsung. So I'd guess fake.
it looks like original

Hey. Noob question why not show the imei number. Curious
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA Free mobile app
Well what happens with imei is that it controls connectivity with phone and networks. Blocked imei wont work so people look to change this with good imei. Posting a "good" imei that can be cloned to another phone is madness
Original
I think this looks like the original
Ask the seller to show the specs of the phone using antutu.

Or boot into download mode, Hold down the power + home + volume down and then press the volume up. The second line should say PRODUCT NAME: GT-I9300 or GT-I9305

yeah man, i had to use a magnifying glass to see the serial of the wifi card and the touchscreen, anyway, i believe the only thing that limits the CWM is the hardware and i have the id, i just need someone to confirm it.

yep, its that one. Anyone knows how CWM is specified? Its by hardware? Any specific chip? or Software? It wont work if i replace build.pop for a similiar one?
Is it just me or this forum is almost dead? I see so few people replying the threads... :\
To be honest, this is my first time experience with fake phone. But the first time I look, i thought it was real.
So, my friend bought Samsung Galaxy S III in china. She bought with a very cheap price, about $200. I thougt she can get that very low price because pass tax or black market. I already suspicious when im setting that phone, and i found many chinese app with chinese write, and cannot be uninstall. So i just disable it. I thought it using chinese firmware. Its menu on setting also different from other S3. There is no S-Voice on this phone. When im trying to connect with Samsung Kies, it not Detected.
And when im open the backlid, it surprised me. Here's the picture :

LOL
And theese are some screenshot I took
Setting menu
Chinese app
Phone Info
China really good at cloning something. IMPOSIBRU !!
And my friend give me authorities to do whatever with this phone, because she cant use skype and some apps. She still dont know yet that this phone is fake.
And my question is :
It is possible to change its ROM to a custom ROM ? Maybe use Rom that using same kernel?
If theres no possibilites, I will put my hands up and give this back to her, and laugh.
I guess the phone will have different hardware, kernel etc., hence it will be dangerous to try a I9300 rom on it. Give it a try if you don't care that it becomes a brick, otherwise don't do it

you'd most probably brick it. it's like trying to flash a honda pilot dashboard firmware onto a bmw 5 series dashboard firmware. different hardware and software. (even if it's both android, it's hardware wont allow it to work.

Please post your finding here.. thanks

Found the link in another xda thread. When I buy it I'll try to make a "How-To" video
I noticed they don't have an option to select the rev. of the board. here's a link to another one which gives you the option. From what I've heard, now don't base this for anything more than an internet post, but the rev of the board is important with the hardware in the phone, Just trying to impart the info I found, like I said I could be completely wrong.
http://www.etradesupply.com/oem-samsung-galaxy-note-sgh-i717-charging-port-flex-cable-ribbon.html
Well crap, ignore me, the link I posted they're out of stock. But like I said, I think the rev is important.
I think I read that somewhere. I think my link is for no higher than Rev 1

So Yesterday, one of my friends gave me his GALAXY S3 to change the software because the phone was very laggy
Then I was shocked with the specs of the phone
the phone says that it's a Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 but the specs is completely different
this phone's internal storage is only 2GB,
and I used CPU-Z to detect it's hardware
CPU-Z says it's has only 2 cores, 1GHZ each, 512MB of ram, PowerVR GPU ?!??!?
So, Iam not sure what to do with that phone, Iam afraid to install a GT-I9300 software, because this one is different
any suggestions ?!?!

It is a clone, lol
Installing S3 ROMs will brick it. You'll need to google the info to find a forum with ROMs that support the phone, although it's possible your friend doesn't know its an S3 clone so I would mention that to them first.

You know, I take my hat off to the one who made that clone, it's 100% similar, you can't know what's the real one if you put a real s3 behind it
now, what should i tell to my friend ,! ?! !?D< "D

i hope your friend doesnt payed for a real s3
My friend once brought an Galaxy S3 for less than $200, but another person spent over $400.
the cheap phone turned out to be a fake clone. The resolution of that screen is only 540*960.
Simple gullibility test: is this deal I'm being offered too good to be true? If yes, then it's probably isn't.
If you paid half the value of a retail S3 then you probably have a good idea something isn't quite right. If, however, you paid full price then you have every right to get even.

Sorry, I don't. But I do have one for SM-A500H. I guess they're pretty much the same except for modem etc.

Anyone tried the "dead boot repair" for SM-A500x with success?
When you use a working phone of same model to write bootfiles to external sd with Odin, then transfer it to dead phone for boot repair.

Same phone apart from the bootloader so thanks!
And no, fortunately I haven't done it.

does anyone here can give me a link to download stock rom marshmallow for my Galaxy A3 (SM310F), not from samsung website cuz it's totally slow speed.. pretty thx so much for anyone who help me out..
There are updates on service manual SM-A310F? Because the list of parts on the battery has the initials GH43-04562A while retailers Samsung officially found only GH43-04562B. Now the type B is compatible and has the NFC?

Hi. I havn't looked it to that so I have no idea about different battery models or updated manual. This was all I could find.
It does seem to be inside battery for A310 model, while the A510 & A710 have their NFC antenna outside and can be bought separatly.
There's not much to find about it when I googled it.
Does anyone with and sm-a310f have a color change on the screen when at a certain quite dimm brightness?
Also, if you tap the phone, is there something rattling?

Yes I've seen the color change. I had a gray wallpaper that turned almost green with very dimmed screen.
I think the rattling noice is from the buttons getting in contact with the metal frame.

My rattling seems ti becoming from the camera inside the phone or something, i can hold all the buttons and tap the phone and it still rattles, at least its good to know I'm not the only one with the problem, do you think if I send it in to samsung that they'll fix it? I'm still ander warrenty
