[Q] Hide Dots for Pattern Unlock - AT&T LG Optimus G

I recently switched from Jelly Bean (Cyanogenmod 10.2) to KitKat (ParanoidAndroid) and after some customization I was able to get it to how I want. But the last thing I had on JB was a pattern lock screen with everything hidden. The dots were hidden, gesture trail, everything. After searching for awhile I found something called Xblast Tools and that sort of worked, but made the UI messed up in other ways. Does anyone have a solution for this?
Thanks,
elguy.
EDIT: All notifications seems to be expanded by default. I've looked around and haven't seen any options for it, so is there anyway to disable that?

also trail? wrong trail??

so, excuse me, could you tell me how you managed to remove that wrong pattern grey line (wrong trail)? i could just edit all .png pictures those from framework-res.apk /drawable-hdpi wich compose lockscreen ui but i consider that trail a lack in security.... thanks in advance

[Q] possible to hide status bar in lock screen?

hey guys. is it possible to hide the status bar from the lockscreen? I'm good with .xml, .smali or any other kind of edit. i just need to be pointed to where I would need to go.
I tried searching and came up empty handed. i'm trying hard to like the lock screen. i already changed the backgrounds (much better now), currently working on a custom lockring, last thing would be to hide that ugly status bar...it's only showing me what the lockscreen already shows anyways.
thanks for the info.
Download the app Widget Locker...U can remove taskbar and also a lot of customization to your style
I'm a big WidgetLocker fan, with my own custom themes made and all that when i was on the Evo 3D. i'm trying to move on with the times and use this nifty sense lockscreen. just has a few kinks to work out.
but if i dont end up fixing it to my liking soon enough i'll download widgetlocker again.
anyone else have any ideas as to how to get this done?
If you go into titanium backup, and freeze statusbar, it will do what you want, it will also remove in regular screen, possibly decompile lockscreen.apk and see if you can do it there.

that is not what I want to do at all. I don't want to make the status bar unavailable everywhere in the system. just within the lockscreen.
if I knew where to go, I can make .xml and .smali edits or whatever else. I just don't know how to search for things from scratch :-(

I'm just guessing, so this could be a useless thought, but... I think checking in idlescreen base would be a good start. You wouldn't probably want to mess with this in system UI because that would likely just hose the whole bar. Team d3rp seems to have maybe figured out making the bar transparent, which would leave the icons and if course be clear everywhere else too... but it's still finicky across the roms, so not quite done yet. pstevep is the man, and maybe could help? See what you can find and then maybe send him a pm.
bumpity bumb
bump, bump, bumpity bump.
any way to do this?
i would say edit lockscreen.apk (decompile and fish around) and also look in a androidpolicy.jar probably some lines of code your could remove/add to make it happen.
clever idea by the way. i am still trying to resolve issues with my idea of clearing notifications from the lockscreen by double tapping the home key. had it figured out for a little bit but it was causing apps to force close :/
again i like your idea... i probably wouldn't use it myself simply because i wouldnt be able to see important details or notifications etc without unlocking the phone

[Q] [REQ] Remove Brightnessslider/disable status bar on lock in creatue

Hello everyone,
i'm using creature Rom from Neme77.
Nearly everything is perfect for me, but two things i would wish to be changed.
I asked Neme77 for some modding but received no answer
So i try it here, maybe someone is bored or interested to help me out, because i'm not good in editing apk.
The first thing is this annoying brightness slider in the notification bar.
I don't need and i don't want it, but found no way to get rid off it searching the internet.
As i read already this is a question of modifying the framework.res.apk of the rom so maybe the easier thing of both.
The second thing is, that i'm using the stock lockscreen of 4.0.3 with the option swipe to unlock.
Unfortunally it is possible to pull down the statusbar if swiping to unlocked is picked.
So sometimes i do accidently in my pocket and change things in the toggles what annoys me a lot.
I use the swipe method because i lick the ticker and weather option on the lockscreen, so just changing to pattern, pin or facelock isn't an alternative for me.
I think this has to be a little bit more difficult to solved, but in my thoughts the answer still ist in the lockscreen.apk(???) because it is disabled if you use pattern, pin... so maybe just a copy/paste of the options of that methods?
I would to be glade to see someone help me with this.
Thanks.

[Q] Stock/News Lock screen Ticker for S4

I have been scouring the internet and forums for days trying to find out about the lock screen news ticker found on the S3/Note II. I cannot find it. I'm fairly certain its been removed from the S4. Anyone know some hidden menu its possibly in? Or, if it has been removed.. is that something that a developer could add back in? I loved that feature from my S3...
Thanks in advance.

[Q] Tasker Auto multiwindow 2 apps

So im trying to get both my maps app and pandora or something else to open from a one click button on homescreen or nfc tag. I want them to open up in multiwindow mode one in each place.Has anyone saw this or knows how to do it? Im running Cleanrom 4.9with full access to multiwindow and root. Anyone have any ideas? would greatly appreciate it.
I realize this is an old thread, but, have you tried/used this? LOVING it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bjbinc.mwmphone
You'll need to know:
- It does not enable/turn Samsung's MW mode; it doesn't need to, but it's nice for it to be 'on' so you can resize windows.
- You'll call a shortcut to that app from within Tasker - scroll to the bottom of the list apps and you'll see the "Windows Shortcut (2 Apps)" listed.

Also, almost all of the kitkat TW roms for our phone have the ported Note 3/S5 multiwindow, which has 2 app shortcuts natively.

Is there *ANY* A11/A12 way to hide/free the status bar space?

Hi,
I got a used OnePlus 7T Pro, because it was a better choice for me in many ways than new phones. I just absolutely love the screen.
But I was trying to find out, how to make actually everything fully use it. Afaik there used to be a way on A10, that is no longer working.
So I searched the whole week how to hide the status bar, and in the end decided to even root and try various Magisk modules, or EdXposed/GravityBox stuff, pretty much anything I could find because many people reported "status bar height = 0" to do the job. But it really doesn't.
It allows to hide the *contents* of the status bar, BUT the space there is still covered by an ugly bar that apps (browser, whatsapp, anything) aren't drawing over. And that looks even worse than having clock+battery present honestly :'(
So I am desperately trying to search for ANY way to accomplish a fullscreen experience. Does anyone know of one?
I actually like the stock OxygenOS personally. But at this point, I'm willing to hop on any good quality custom rom that would allow it.
(I am even considering somehow downgrading to A10, but would absolutely prefer not to).
I can't believe people here aren't all over this / that everyone with 7/7T pro didn't already do everything in their power to accomplish a full system-wide fullscreen experience. So, desperately pleading anyone, is there some Rom/Mod/Module allowing this?
Thanks
Oh, one additional thing: I noticed, that when changing the option under
Settings -> Developer -> Display Cutout
The status bar (and the reserved space around it) actually does change and move up/down for various options. The "Waterfall Cutout" makes the bar significantly narrower, and apps are properly respecting it (= being drawn a bit higher) too. Which gives me some hope.
There is an installable Magisk module called "None Display Cutout" from here:
[Remove display cutout][ROOT] Full screen 21:9 for apps in landscape, incl Netflix.
Requirements: Magisk root. Download and install the "None Display Cutout" in the Magisk managers module repo. It will add an option in developer settings display cutout options, "No Display Cutout". Choose it, and apps, including netflix, will...

These just don't try to accomplish complete status bar disappearance, but they touch on the "Display Cutout" settings in some way. So they *could... maybe* be modified to make the status bar completely disappear? Since they alter the overall display bounds even on Android 11 successfully.
Honestly, those 2 are the most promising directions I stumbled upon, but I personally don't know how to modify them to do what I want (= shrink the whole status bar area to 0 pretty much)

I too am desperately looking everywhere having hidden the status bar for years and can't find any way to hide it anymore did you find anything that works? i'm rooted with magisk
I am sorry to say that I gave up. If you have energy to be dealing with this still and manage to find a good solution, pls ping me, but otherwise I'm now in peace with not being able to get rid of it Wish I could help but I tried for some time and just didn't find anything fully working.
Fullscreen immersive app can do this and I think Apex launcher can hide this too
I was aiming for getting rid of the status bar everywhere, in photos, twitter, maps, browser etc, not just homescreen (Apex).
And any "immersive apps" that sort-of work only manage to hide the time+notifs+battery from the status bar, but actually retaining the status bar itself :'(( Aka, any app starts drawing only under the area where the status bar always is. So I don't see the battery+time there, but I see an empty space - at that point it's just better to have the time there as normal, it just looks bad when simply empty :-|
Afaik the "immersive app" only work "properly" on the older android versions that support immersive mode, which newer androids don't (((

androplus wrote a magisk module that hides the status bar in MIUI. I'm not sure if it will work on other devices or not but it works on my Mix Fold 2. definitely worth trying. search the mix fold 2 forum for the link
I own OnePlus 7 Pro and I spent 2 months trying to find the solution. Status bar... I hate it too. So... it will be hit or miss for every app, but (for example Google photos is crashing with it) ... If your phone is rooted and you have installed Magisk:
Download and install LSPosed Framework modul (Zygisk version should be better)
In LSPosed Framework->Repository->Search->App Settings Reborn and enable it.
In App Settings Reborn choose any app you wanna tweak to eliminate Status Bar and then click on the wheel at bottom right corner. Now, you will have to go app after app to tweak it. Choose one and enable tweaking at left top corner. These three options are your new friends: auto hide fullscreen, no title and fullscreen.
Just don't be me... don't forget to stop app you are tweaking or it will not work immediately and don't forget to save the settings you chose by clicking on that floppy disk. And as I wrote earlier, some apps will behave weird and some will crash. Have fun.
