Guys,
Ace mobile doesn't support unicode text to display in its browser as well as any apps in my mobile. Can some one help me support unicodes into my mobile, I tried to view pages of Russian languages, Nepali and others but only i can see is boxes.
I want to view Unicode text in my mobile without flashing any new ROM.
i can root it if its needed but what to do after i root, please guide.

Hello! Got the same from Orange.
I have tested Chainfire and Sayiah Kernels, they doesn't modify NFC abilities (so it's ok).
However, our I9100P are yet very poorly supported, due to GS2 NFC being "lost" in the flood of previous "old" nfc.
Support may come from AOSP 2.3.7 (yet, max is 2.3.5)
I haven't tested custom roms yet.
TIP : Backup STOCK ROM using kTool 1.23 or the ZergRush exploit.

Hi, I also have just got hold of a GT-I9100P model. It's branded with orange, and the orange bloatware and apps are getting me down.
Does someone have the 'official' GT-I9100P ROM/image for the 'unlocked/unbranded' variant of this?

I have bought SG S2 from UAE and using in India, hence cannot view Indian fonts. Arabic font is preinstalled, but not Indian fonts. Can anybody help how to do it please...

and i wanted to update it using Kies to ICS or at least to 2.3.6 but it always tells me that i have the latest version.

i'm afraid if i tried to flash any software on the device it would hurt it or make it stop working but i would like to install an official update (from samsung) to ICS or at least to 2.3.6 and how to Root it.
if no official update is available which custom Roms are compatible with it and what should i look for in them and do they need to be Rooted or they are already rooted?

If you want latest GB than try la2 la3 or la4.
If you want to try ics try the lp7 or lp8 roms.
All these are stock official Samsung ROM that you can flash using Odin.
So learn how to use Odin.

sorry for being annoying but and thanks for your reply i checked Sammobile.com and i found middle-east softwares but they were all sadly gingerbread.
if i decided to go with Ice cream Sandwich will it have Arabic support or not? and what is the difference between lp7 and lp8
so in conclusion i can choose any firmware to install on my device but i should pick the region that suits me, right?
m8 the latest for it is 2.3.5 gb ics is not available on kies yet so its jpkj2,ki4,jpkj1

Ics by default supports rtl, but to write you need third party keyboard, or new Swype beta.
Or you can try the Behrain version as rocky posted must have rtl writing..

it supports Arabic reading but there is no Arabic interface (i don't really need that i like the english one) and no Arabic Keyboard which i really need :S
i installed an Arabic keyboard software for ICS from google Play but i still can't write Arabic actually it's just like i installed nothing?!

Bahrain ROM should have Arabic language keyboard you don't have to install anything.
But you do need to change the options from settings.
Save for keyboard, installing doesn't mean it's active.

After this browsing your threads, I try to know where my phone is made from typing *#1234# but this code doens't seem to work. I even try to install a new CSC code with the apps csc select but the misfortune is in me .
