[Q] Soft bricked HTC One T-Mobile Help Please - T-Mobile HTC One (M7)

I was trying to go to stock ROM using a Jelly bean 4.3 Ruu so that I can use the regular bootloader to install the new update that gives HTC hOne Sense 6, the Ruu did work for a bit, but after it was deleting the User data, and was sending the package to my phone, if gave me an error, it told me to follow the steps to recover, so I followed that, and I ended up getting the same error again, saying that I had the wrong one, so I come on XDA to look for the Kit kat 4.4 and use that instead, did the same thing, same error and everything, I am at the Black HTC logo on my Phone, so I am guessing that is still the Bootloader. So how can I go about fixing this issue since the RUU isn't helping?
Edit: I didn't soft brick it, looks like it rebooted when I sent the command through Fastboot

Rogers Evo 3D Failed Ruu Recovery

Hey everyone, pretty new to the forums. I have been tinkering with trying to root my new rogers evo 3d i got a few days ago. I ran into some issues, and thought i had soft bricked my phone, it seemed to the point of no return, so just wanted to share what i did to make it work. Ive read a few posts were others had a similar issue and didnt seem to be resolved. I used the Revoluntionary Method, at 1st i was having trouble with the HTC drivers, the program no matter how many i tried would crash on install. So i just skipped all the stpes and just ran the Revoluntinoary Program, it actualy did everything, including install the HTC drivers all automated, worked awesome. Then not realising that i couldnt do most roms on a rogers gsm phone, i tried and failed with many roms. The one and only rom that i was able to install, was leedroid. This rom worked perfect everytime......but only on the 1st boot, if i tried to restartt the phone it would hang on the HTC logo. At this point i just wanted to revert back to rogers stock rom......but of course i didnt back anything up! I downloaded the rogers Ruu listed on here, and figured hey this will do the trick. After runiing the rogers Ruu and failing many times, i was frustated. Not only did it fail the flash, but it also locked my boot and left me S Off. Now every time i tried to start my phone, i would get the HTC logo screen with the !!!! in each corner, unplugging the usb gave me the locked hboot screen, and of course the Ruu kept failing. From everthing i read in the forums, it seemed toast. Since the RUU kept failing on the extract part it seemed, i thought maybe try to free up some space on the sd card......then i decided to just do a quick format on the card(Used card reader). For whatever reason, after formatting my sd card and rebooting the phone....it just started right up in stock rom, like the day i got it. Didnt even have to try the Ruu again, it just worked. Sorry for the long winded post, just wanted to give a brief history on everything i had done. Hopfully this helps someone out there that was stuck at the same location i was.
I think your in the wrong section bud. But good to know.

My Phones a Rogers Evo 3D GSM, HBoot 1.48.0008. Yup it was SOFF.
I used the Revo method to get Unlocked, SOFF and CWM.
I started out with CDMA roms, not knowing any better, and got my phone stuck in a boot loop.
The only way for me to stop the bootloop was with LeeDroids rom found here on XDA, so maybe try downloading that and flashing it. I downloaded every GSM Rom listed, but only Leedroid for me would do anything. The rest just hung up on the HTC logo.
Then I realised that Leedroids rom was also hanging on the HTC logo after Initial boot so i wanted to just get back to stock. I downloaded the listed Rogers Ruu also from XDA. Flashed into Leedroids rom on initial boot, ran the Rogers Ruu......only to have it fail on the update.....did a few cycles of the built in recovery option in the Ruu to no avail. I would always end up and the screen with around 11 checks all ok, but under system in would be failed. There was some message about and extraction error, and this Ruu wasnt compatible with my phone do download and try a new one.
Now my phone was stuck at the HTC logo screen with the 4 !!!! in the corners, unplugging the usb brought up the Hboot screen, which now said ****Locked**** and SOFF still.
I did a few more trys at the RUU, after redownloading multiple copys from different sources, same results, even tried to get the revo tool to pick up my phone during one of the flashes but it couldnt detect it.
At this point i called rogers.....asked about getting a replacment they said come in but i knew once they saw SOFF they wouldnt go for it.
The extraction failing on the RUU was what got me thinking that maybe by some chance there wasnt enough room on the SD card to complete the update? Which didnt make sense cause i had over 2g free space. Just for the hell of it, i popped out the SD, put it in my laptop, did a basic quick reformat of it.....then put in back in my phone.
The plan was to try the Ruu one last time but as soon as i hit the power button my phone started with a normal HTC logo, with no !!!!....followed by the rogers splash screen and right into the set up of the phone. Everything was back like the very 1st day i had it, even had the spiderman game. Not sure exactly why it worked, but maybe if you try something similar you can get yours back as well, hope this helps a bit.

Bootloop need help please

I am caught in a bootloop and can't figure out what to do. I can get into the fast boot but when I try to restore or install a new rom, it goes back into bootloop showing the htc logo.
The background information is that I had rooted and installed a custom when I got it then didnt use it much for the last 6 months. When I started using it again I wanted to update the rom but was having problems getting it to load so I decided to load the original rom thinking I would start ovter again from scratch. seemed to work I updated via the OTA to two versions of GB but when I installed the HC update it stuck on the HTC screen. I havent been able to get it to do anything since.
Any help would be appreciated.
Anyone?
please I love my flyer
So you tried to install the ota on rooted s off device. That was your issue. You likely have a miss match of hboot and system.
Get into hboot and tell us what it says up top. Version and if it says s off or on

thanks for the reply
I believe all you have to do is follow the steps from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1358758
you already have a s off gingerbread hboot. I would power down and charge your device for a couple of hours before attempting. I think you should be able to fastboot flash the approriate package and or run the appropriate ruu and it will ultimatley replace the gb hboot with a hc hboot and flash the remainder of the system.
your problem as I mentioned is that the s off gb hboot could not be over writen by the ota update and so you are in a sittuation where your hboot does not match your system and radio. Before attempting it you may want to post your sittuation in the thread. Globatron is very active and usually quick to repsond. Just be concise with what you did to get to your state

[Q] help!! unrooting evo lte

Hello i need help unrooting my evo lte.I used zedomax method to get super su.I didnt know or should i say i didnt read that it doesnt unlock the booloader.the process is to complicated for me.Iam now trying to unroot and return to stock.I know if you go into super su you can undo the changes to go back to your prevthat were made.my bootloader is locked.I have s-on.I have been trying to install the ruu that matches my phones software settings.i downloaded the drivers for the evo.I downloaded microsoft framework 4.0.my problem is this every time i go to install the ruu it fails because my drivers go back to saying android 1.0 and when i try to update drivers it does not let me.i am running on windows 7 64bit.this is really getting annoying. Is there any way to install the ruu through the bootloader? One more thing i tried putting the phone in fastboot on the bootloader but i still get the android 1.0 and i cant update the drivers on my pc..I am running software version 1.12.651.1 710rd.If anyone can help i would really appreciate it thanks.P.S pardon my poor grammer.

How to Root/Unroot HTC Evo 4G LTE! [Windows/Mac/Linux][One-Click][<=1.22.651.1]
A quick peek at the android development section would have been quick and painless
not working
I did check out the thread.Im following the intructions.Like i said before when installing the ruu and my phone try s to reboot into the bootloader i get a error code 171.Thats because i cant update the drivers during the process.I go from my htc to android 1.0 and i cant update the drivers. Also one more thing my software version is displayed as 1.13.651.1_r2.But the ruu i downloaded only say 1.13.651.1.Can i still use that ruu?I cant seem to find a ruu thast has the _r2 at the end.Im sorry that im being a pain in the butt.
No its not that you are being a pain it's just that there's been a rash of people trying to revert to stock to take the ota. They all ask the same question and then they don't follow the directions or they don't read them correctly and end up back here with more issues. Try flashing a stock recovery and take the ota
A couple days ago I felt the same exact way thinking if anything happens to my phone I can't return it to sprint or anyone I rooted the same exact method that you did but I did my research and eventually gave up on trying to flash a ruu over being rooted with the boot loader unlocked has way more perks then having stock sense 4.0 if you ever need to update radios or anything upgrade the android software later on all you do is flash it there's so many people on xda to help you along the way as well believe me I thought I messed up my phone several times but like I said thanks to the good people at xda I'm enjoying my phone a lot better then the day I bought it brand new

Updating to 4.4 Kitkat constant problems

Hello everyone. This is my first post with my first problem from my first android phone. Please exercise some patience with me. When kitkat was pushed to the HTC One (T-Mobile) the install failed miserably. When I thought it was done it booted into recovery and just stayed there. I did a hard reboot and the splash screen was all crazy and the HTC boot screen was off colored and it was stuck at the boot screen. Obviously something was corrupted. I ran RUU for 4.3 to get back and flashed twrp and restored from my back up. All is well. I downloaded the OTA (I forget where but I believe somewhere on here) in an attempt to flash it from the stock recovery. Those were the instructions on that post. I ran RUU for 4.3 again to be completely fresh. I get to stock recovery and when I select to "apply from phone storage" I get an "invalid CID" error and the phone reboots. I ran "fastboot getvar all" and my cidnum= T-MOB010. What is the deal? That cid is correct, isn't it? I am also S-On with a "relocked" bootloader. I had to relock in order to run RUU because I was getting error 155. What am I missing? Why is it doing this?
Okay. I really need help guys. My phone is completely wiped and I have NO OS!! I side loaded Android Revolution kitkat and I'm getting errors with that. I can't unzip it!! I'm screwed guys. Please. Any help at this moment!! I'm desperate.
I was able to get out of this hell hole. I was able to run "adb push" and move my nandroid backup from my pc to the phone and restore.
What do I have to do to update to kitkat??? Why did check cid fail? I never changed that. What else could change it?? I had a stock recovery installed but the OTA failed still. Do I have to have the "right" stock recovery? I'm unlocked, rooted and S-off. Do I need to fix something else? Do I need to "relock" first? Is updating to kitkat even possible?? (sarcasim) The information seems to be scattered all over the place. I can not be the only one unlocked, rooted w/ S-off and trying to update my OS.

[Q] HTC One SV rooted OTA not updating - my effort so far

I want to install an OTA, but I had rooted it using TWRP and then followed so many procedures in trying to restore to stock that I think my phone's wasted. (It's functioning normally, but I can't help the feeling I've done something untowardly to it).
I have been doing a lot of reading, but I apparently suck since nothing seems to make sense (or that everything seems so disconnected). It appears that what could be one long, detailed post about something is to be found in many different posts, but I understand that since there are so many phones and each one probably needs its own way of being handled. So without complaining any further, I'll just let you know what I've done so far, and hopefully someone is able to tell me what the hell is wrong with me. And my phone.
Here's what I have with me right now:
Device: HTC One SV (Boost mobile) - K2_CL, OS- 4.1.2 (the OTA is 4.2.2)
Tampered, relocked, s-on.
adb is installed
fastboot is installed
android SDK with 4.1.2 and 4.2.2 packages installed
htc toolkit utility is installed
recoverytest.img from androidruu files.
revone
All right, I installed adb, fastboot, an htc utility toolkit, downloaded 3 different img files (one says recoverytest.img, which is from androidruu.com/k2_cl, another one was put here on xda by one of the members, and that was simply recovery.img, and another one called HTC_One_Sv_K2_Ul_boot_signed.img <-- this is probably the wrong file since my bootloader screen says k2_Cl).
Prior to this, a few months ago, my phone was rooted. SuperSU was working fine, and one day somehow I lost the root access when SuperSU upgraded. Tried a few methods to upgrade manually but none worked. Not sure if this is of any importance.
So after installing all those above, I did a variety of commands like revone, fastboot flash recovery.img, fastboot oem lock, fastboot flash boot recovery.img, all based on what was mentioned one one thread or another on the forum and mostly all of them gave me some kind of an error.
So I'm stuck now. My phone does nothing. When I reboot from bootloader, it says in red "this is for development purposes only, blah, blah". When I download the update and try installing it, the phone simply restarts. When I try to do factory reset from the hboot, the phone simply goes back into fastboot menu. My phone apparently doesn't have an RUU, only a recoverytest.img.
Here's where I am and I want to do what next. I jsut installed android sdk, and installed 4.1.2 package (which is the current version on my phone), and I want to update to 4.2.2, which is the latest update for htc one sv on boostmobile (installed the package for that in sdk also).
(A lot of people were also asking for cid, mid and phone model, and I have no clue how to make sure that the .img file is the same as my phone's).
I know I am all over the place, and call me a knucklehead, but I genuinely do not understand a lot of the things that are mentioned on the forums. Every thread mentions a process, and within each process is contained a subprocess which I equally do not know.
Thanks for any help with this!
PS: While I go from fastboot usb to hboot, the screen flickers for a couple seconds an dmessages like "sd checking: no image or bad image" appear for a couple seconds and then I see the hboot menu.
Edit:

The way I understand how to do this (in layman terms) is as follows:
1. Restore to stock {by first turning S-Off, then lock the bootloader, and then RUU. I cannot get S-off using revone (revone failed, error code 2 or error code -1); the bootloader is "relocked", and I cannot get to do anything with the RUU (iow I don't know what to do with it)}.
2. Restore to factory settings.
3. Download and install the OTA 4.2.2 update.
You don't need to go S-Off to return to stock, just relocked. Here is the RUU for your phone:
http://goo.gl/0cgV6d
Run as admin. Turn off anti-virus. Have more than 30% battery life. Follow instructions as the program loads and accept whatever.
OTA zip:
http://goo.gl/ckfYQj
The RUU worked, thank you so much!
Is this OTA.zip 4.2.2? Or is it a newer version?

You're welcome. It is the 4.2.2 update. My understanding is that there is nothing newer. There were reports of a 4.4 update for the Boost variant, but believe it was a mistake, or at least jumping the gun by quite a bit.
