Gear Fit constant reboot - Samsung Gear Fit

I took my Gear Fit off and put it on my nightstand while I took a shower, when I came back out it was in a constant reboot. I know it was charged since I had done that last night.
I tried everything I could think of, holding the power button didn't seem to do anything. What finally got it out of the reboot was hooking it up to the charger and holding the power button until I felt it vibrate twice. I had tried that earlier, but only felt one vibration and let go of the power button. So if anyone experiences this behavior, hold the power button until you feel two vibrations and hopefully yours will come back up as well.
I did have to pair it with my phone again, but all my settings were still in Fit Manager. Only had to switch screen rotation and wallpaper.

Mine has done the same. Did it while charging. Rebooted itself and got stuck in a constant rebooting loop. I used odin to reset by flashing the firmware. It worked. Your method is a lot less time consuming.

I have searched through the forums but I have not been able to find out how you did it, so...I have to ask:
what version of odin did you use and where did you find the stock rom file for SM-R3500?
When i try to connect to kies via usb it freezes my computer so I guess that You did not use Kies at all?
Sorry for being a noob!

This may help
Ok so I had the same problem as you all with gear fit constantly rebooting. Here is how I resolved it:
1) Download KIES (It is a sumsung app which you can use to update the firmware on the gear fit)
2) Once dowloaded, you need to get a cable to attach the end of the charger to a USB port on the computer
3) When the gear fit says "Rebooting" on the bottom of the screen. Press the button 5 times.
4) It should then give you 2 options. Continue and Dowload. press the button one to scroll down to "DOWNLOAD" then press and hold the button for 3 seconds. A screen will come up saying the fit is downloading.
5) Open KIES.
6) In the tools menu go to firmware upgrade and initialization
7) Follow the steps. It will ask you for information on the back of the gear fit.
8) Connect the gear fit to the computer when KIES asks you to.
9) It will then download the firmware and you should be good to go.
Hope this helps

THANK YOU!!! I couldn't get my Fit into Download Mode, but with your instructions, I got it to enter it! I'm going to do the upgrade tomorrow morning. Thank you so much!

What did you enter in Kies for the Model #? I have tried what is on the back of my gear (SM-R350) as well as two variations I have found online (SM-R3500 and SM-R3500ZKAXAR) and Gear, Gear Fit, GEARFIT, etc. and every time Kies says it cannot verify. Any help would be wonderful!

Gear Fit boot loop / Odin stuck in "NAND writestart!!!", flash fails...
at the time of posting this, ODIN 3.10.6 was the latest version, and the ONLY version of ODIN to actually be able to flash my Gear Fit with new firmware after the Gear Fit got stuck in a boot loop.
I used the R350XXU0BNG2_R350OXA0BND8 firmware, but there might be newer versions already I'm guessing since the first thing my Gear Fit wanted, was the latest firmware as soon as it was reunited with my S4
So if your ODIN get's stuck on the "NAND write start!!!" bit and then fails, check your version (3.07 and 3.09 didn't work for me).
Btw, if ODIN get's stuck at that point and your Gear Fit is showing a progress-bar, it's okay to remove your Gear Fit,
the actual flashing process hasn't started then and you wont brick your Gear Fit.
DO NOT REMOVE YOUR GEAR FIT WHEN THE FLASHING IS ACTUALLY IN PROGRESS!!!!!

Thank you. First thing that worked for me. Been in reboot lop for months!

Quick Summary, all from that post/tutorial:
The 5x button tap and 3 second hold into Download mode
Using Odin v3.09 (3.10 did not work -- had to be 3.09. Fickle fickle.)
Using the firmware files linked here (even though they are old):
dropbox. com/s/h03xk0hppxvwsb4/r350xxu0bnd8.rar
Loading up the BL/AP/CSC files, respectively, and changing none of the settings
Plugging the Fit into the PC, including trying a variety of cable, port, and timing combinations (Again, so fickle. Just keep messing with it until Odin recognizes the COM port.)
Starting, waiting, restarting Odin when it got stuck, restarting the Fit when it got stuck again, generally just trying the same instructions multiple times until everything cooperated.
Eventually, it downloaded and the Fit restart to factory new. Now time to update the firmware the normal way, through Gear Fit Manager.
So, that's what worked for me. Good luck to everyone else!

Thank you! I actually had to hold my button down for over 30 seconds before it stopped rebooting. I was on the phone with Samsung support - NO HELP! and had already got a return label from Amazon to return it - very kind option, when I saw this forum. Glad I did. Now I still have my watch and it works!

Can't get to download screen. Bricked?

I was trying to use odin to get back to a stock rom (UVJFD). Phone was in download, odin was running. Odin suddenly said "not connected" and nothing was listed where com is usually displayed. I unplugged my phone and it immediately displayed a phone, exclamation, computer.
I tried the three button reboot, but it immediately went back to this screen. I've tried all of the options in the 'So you've bricked your phone' stickey, except the soldering method and I can't get it to do ANYTHING.
What do I do? I'm trying to get back to factory. At this point, I may need to send it in.
Just do what you would normally do to get back to download mode. I can't specifically remember the buttons but just jeep trying until it shows up on odin.
Actually I read somewhere that the phone "!" Cpu means that it will already work with odin so I guess try that. Im not certain that it will work immediately. If that doesn't work then do what I said first lol. Don't worry its not bricked this happened to me the day I got my phone hahaha

Phone....!.....PC is just like download mode. I was able to recover from it, when it happened to mine. Maybe the JFD you had was faulty?
But ODIN should recognize your phone.
Completely bricked?

Does that imply that you saw some sort of life in the screen such as any light on the display? If that is the case it is probably worth trying the 301k Resistor method to get to the download screen.
On the other hand if your phone is exactly in the same shape as my phone is then I really feel for you. My screen never shows any life. It appears like the battery is dead and I've tried everything and I know the battery is fully charged.
So my next step is either finding someone with a jtag interface or send it off for repair.
Anyone have suggestions in that next step? Any weekend warriors with a jtag interface where we can send it? Any suggestions as to where to send it (t-mobile is not an option since I'm not using t-mobile)
It keeps rebooting to the icon screen (phone ! computer). I tried plugging it back in, but odin didn't see it.
I'll have to play around with it a bit more to see if I can get it to work.
thx

Odin should recognize it, try using a different ODIN. Make sure ODIN is running first, with the proper files already loaded "PDA, MODEM, CSC" then plug in phone.
that seemed to work. (loading the files to odin, then connecting) Apparently I had a bad ROM image. It's booting up now.
Thanks for all of the help.

[Q] SGS2 wont boot after OTA official upgrade

Hi folks,
Yesterday my phone was weird: The home button was opening a different page than the launcher (a sort of launcher with a clock and buttons, and when I tapped "escape" it drives to the official launcher), and some functions weren't working (such as the rotate toggle). Looked like something was updated, but a reset was needed.
Then I reseted the device and then it went to the ODIN mode with the green robot and the message "downloading, don't turn off target". It took too long. Like more than 4 hours. I left the device plugged in charger and went to bed.
Today I found the device turned off (probably the updated ended) and I can't boot. Actually nothing happens, no button combination, etc.
I tried to pull off the battery and put it back again, nothing happened.
I tried a soft wipe (hold the ON button for 7 seconds without the battery), nothing happened.
Could someone please help?
So....what firmware was installed originally? which rom did you try to install? It's all in the details. Oh, and which model Galaxy S2 do you have?

I didn't try to install anything.
I was using the latest verision of my country stock rom (The carrier is Claro). The update was automatically, I didn't choose to do that.
The model is I9100GT
Get, buy, borrow another full battery or external charger to charge your dead battery.
If out still won't boot:
try boot into recovery and factory reset
Or
Boot into download mode and flash firmware downloaded from here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
Edit: look for only G model firmware.
If none there, use check fus for windows to find and download firmware for your device, then flash in Odin.

I had a similar problem with a kies flash before. If it will go at least into download mode when a charger (not just a USB from a computer) is connected, your battery might be completely flat. try charging it in another phone.

Hi Folks,
Thank you very much for the replies.
Now the cell phone is working. I guess that the charger went broke during the night (I have no idea why). I connected via USB and then I heard a sound, after that it went back to the upgrade screen (odin), and I reseted.
Now its working and I have no idea of what happened.
so why in hell would you leave your phone to download mode for night.

Sounds to me as if you have tried almost everything.
Sounds odd that it would stay on in download mode and be the usual sticky power button issue, but we are persuing all avenues right?
Give your phone a couple good flicks to the back of the phone in case its the power button. It may be clicking as if no problem, but that doesnt mean anything.
Give it a shot and boot it up.

Fixed problem by flashin 4.0.4 update zip through odin. Thanks.
Edit - 4.0.4 works but wont read sim. Went back to kies to update to 4.1.2 and reboots started again. Not sure what the problem is
Maybe go back to odin, and install a stock .tar file image for the i717. Not just an update.
This video at YouTube shows how to do it with download links for all the files necessary. .tar files too.

I Need help with my recently rooted SG SII

So here is the story:
My phone was running slow and the battery would drain out like crazy, so I read through a few forums here and there and decided I would FACTORY RESET my phone. Now might I mention, my phone was previously rooted by using a method from galaxyroots2 ( I picked the one for GT-I9100 ). I had ROOTED IT TWICE before. Both times work flawlessly. Now this time, for some very odd reason, my phone is stuck on a Screen which displays "Samsung GALAXY S II GT-I9100" with a little YELLOW TRIANGLE at the bottom. I pulled out the battery a few times but to no avail. Now I Am able to access DOWNLOAD MODE, but I cannot access the other mode where you hold the VOL button up rather than down. I'm kinda out of ideas, I figured this would take me 5 minutes like the last time. The KERNEL is a JEEBOO Kernel, I used Odin v1.85. I haven't performed any updates since it has been rooted.
NOW MY QUESTION IS : HOW CAN I GET PAST THE SCREEN WITH THE YELLOW TRIANGLE? and please dumb down things as much as possible. I'm not the greatest when it comes to these sort of things.
SO now I am currently trying to troubleshoot using a little something I found on cnet, with "How to go back to a stock Android ROM on Samsung Galaxy S2" as a title. I have to download the official firmware first, which will take a bit of time. Update in a few hours.
Solved the problem. Here is what I did
1. Google search "android firmwares" and go to the first link ("androidfirmwares"-dot-net)
2. Go under the Galaxy S2 tab and select Firmwares. Choose the most recent one or the one that works with yours (Mine was MS4)
3. Unzip the .tar file in the compressed file you downloaded
4.On your phone, hold the Vol button down with the home button and the power button simultaneously to open dowload mode
5. Goto Odin and click on the PDA button. Select the .tar file you just downloaded
6. Press Start
7. ???
8. Profit

I think u flashed something wrong, u said u have a gt-i9100 but I think jeboo kernel is for another galaxy s2 model. So that should be the reason why it didn't boot.
Well but now u found solution so never mind
Next time be sure to flash the right things, in worst case u can be bricked without any way to get back to life

Galaxy Tab S6 SM-T865N using Odin To flash other country firmware on it

Hello,
I've purchased a Galaxy Tab S6 (SM-T865N) International version, mainly to use it with with 4G in US on Xfinity Mobile. I received the tablet, inserted the SIM card and it was working 'relatively' on the network. Every now & then I would get a message 'failed to register to network', but for the most part, mobile data is working.
Since it is a Korea version, certain things don't work. Nothing major, but I would like to make it perfect. Certain User update posts in the Galaxy store display in Korean Language, and the weather app is slightly limited, with the error 'not available outside of Korea'.
I did some searching and found other firmware available for this exact model on Sammobile. My country (US) is not supported, but I would like to try the UK firmware, if nothing else, to fix some of the language issues. I downloaded the UK firmware package and Odin (3.13 & 3.14.1). I installed the Samsung drivers. I booted the tablet into recovery by holding 'power & volume up' then connected it to the computer. Odin WILL NOT found the tablet. I rebooted into the normal OS and connected it and Odin then found it, but obviously that doesn't work. I can not get Odin to connect while in recovery.
Does anyone have suggestions on what might be happening?
And maybe all this effort isn't worth it either, hard telling whether it'll work better or worse with the UK firmware on it. Any tips?
It's been several years since I did this sort of thing, so I'm a little rusty. I thought this would be a simple procedure.
it sounds to me like you are not putting it into download / Odin mode, but I could be wrong. I haven't tried to use Odin on this tablet yet, but was actually about to do this same thing as well, as my device has an origin CSC of singapore, and hasn't had an official update in almost 2 months, so I was going to flash the UK version as well.
---------- Post added at 07:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:51 PM ----------
So I just tested it on my tablet, here is what you need to do:
Power off the device
Press and hold the Volume up button and then press and hold the power button
When you see the initial boot screen, release the power button, but keep holding volume button
When you get to the recovery screen, you need to use the volume up / down buttons to highlight the option that has "bootloader" in the title, and press the power button to select it.
Then you should see a screen that says "Download" or something like that.
Plug in USB, and Odin should see the device.
Yeah, you're booting into recovery, you need to boot into Download mode - Hold both volume up and down whilst inserting the USB-C cable to enter Download mode.
Your correct

Your Correct. Device needs to be plugged into the pc for it to boot to the screen that shows all the info. I wonder why they made this a requirement. Its very unintuitive. I also didn't see it documented anywhere. How did you find out about this ? Thanks again for the help!

You wouldn't happen to have that firmwire file handy / a way to share it online would you? Sammobile's free download server is down right now, and I was going to try to flash it this weekend.

Did you able to flash that firmware on your tablet?
IF you mean did I succeed in flashing it through Odin then yes BUT unfortunately I couldn't get it to reboot correctly & it takes a lot of time trying to reboot but still no luck. How can this be even possible IF I still can get it to connect to Odin and download the firmware successfully BUT no luck in getting it to reboot correctly!!

Have you tried reflashing the old firmware of your country? Weird that its not working.
I did try that and managed to flash it successfully to the old firmware using Odin but unfortunately I still couldn't get it past a full reboot as it got stuck after a long time and it takes me to the Android System Recovery screen wherein also tried to 'wipe cache partition.’ and try reboot again but I still end up with the recovery screen!
