Hi all,
Last month in Thailand one provider operator has a LTE service. Now two provider operator but I can not use or choose LTE automaticly.I must delete /system/app/lteConfigs.apk/lteConfigs.odex then GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto is appear.Go to Settings>Networks>Tethering & networks>Mobile network>Network mode> GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto ,to choose LTE.I think ,LG doesn't add a new provider operator in lteConfigs.
I try to add new provider operator to lteConfigs.apk it's working.I can use LTE automaticly when I am in LTE area and If I reboot G2 it's choose LTE automaticly too.
This is a simple guide to add provider operator .
- Make sure your operator has LTE service
- check your mccmnc of your operator at
http://www.mcc-mnc.com/
my operator is dtac ( 52005 )

Hi, thanks for your response. Actually what I need is for you to help me decompile this attached lteconfigs.apk file & replace its lteready.xml file with the new-edited lteready.xml file inside attached lteconfigs odex+lteready xml.zip file..
The thing is I've just bought new LG G3 D855 few days ago. But, I can't use LTE services in my phone since my operator LTE network is not supported in my LG G3. So, I'm trying to do what you've done earlier, but I'm having some problems when trying to recompile the compiled lteconfigs.apk.
On such edited lteready.xml file, I've added few Indonesian LTE Network operator setting (name, mcc, mnc). Hopefully, this can help me to access my operator LTE network in my LG G3.
Therefore, if you can help me to decompile, replace with new-edited lteready.xml, then recompile-signed-give permittion such Lteconfigs.apk file (the same sequences you've shared earlier), I would have appreciate that.
If I have a time I will help you.

F.A.Q.
All Variants but laking Cat6 and ISAI? Why?
- Cat6 and ISAI made for different market, which use different hardware, they dont have same G3 specs like others so NO, they're not supported.
Can I upgrade to this ROM from other LP ROM?
- Yes, but I recommend to flash your latest kdz/tot first, then root, install TWRP and flash the ROM.
Can I dirty flash the ROM?
- You can dirty flash if u're using my previous version, but if anything wrong, a clean flash before reporting is a must.
LS990/VS985 fully working?
- Its mainly made for GSM only. If you're using CDMA and wanna try, go for it but dont report any issue here. Btw, LS990 NFC removed till I can get my hands on the device.
I'm stuck at Setup Wizard screen, there's no buttons for back or next?
- It's a minor issue caused by latest Google Service, happen when you cant connect to their server by wifi/data during the init setup. Just rotate the phone and you can skip that step. Sound weird, I know
Can I flash a custom kernel?
- Sure, u can use any custom kernel that support LG stock Lollipop.
Can I use Xposed with this ROM?
- Yes, when you flash the ROM, there's an option in Aroma: "Xposed support" (which will remove your QuickCover feature) then follow Xposed for Lollipop for the installation guide.
I dont have 4G/LTE option in network setting?
- Delete LteConfigs folder in system\app (D855 only) then reboot.

Settings app
Hi,
Thanks for the ROM cloudy. Really liked you G2 work so it's good to see you here. All working well here, but there seems to be an issue with the settings app. When I open the settings via the app then it always swaps the view to list view instead of tabbed view. If I use settings by pulling down the notification bar then it's fine.
If you want a tester for VS985....I am available
So far so good installed on d855 running very smooth thanks for the rom
Running great so far on d852
I like your work bro think a lot
I used your files for tmo to get it work, I have a mixed files from tmo a vzw to get it work on VS985, only apn settings crash
If like me you don't need cdma nether gps and apn config for US (I'm in france) and you want this fix
For those who want to use this rom in US with VZW must do some changes in build.prop and add some files to system/etc/ folder like
apns-conf.xml
gps.conf
dcm_settings.xml
permission/android.hardware.telephony.cdma.xml
.... don't know what you need exactly
No lte here on att either

Also for anyone having problems to get lte go into settings - tethering and networks - mobile networks - network operators - search for networks - a few minutes later you should see ATT LTE if available then select it and then register it. That fixed it for me.

great work cloudy'fa
On D855 over a day and with just one minor problem so far. Sometimes loses Wi-Fi for a second or two.
Found one minor issue with the d851 varriant. Mini view does not seem to work. This may be due to me having knock off enabled on the navbar, so I'll test it further after I re-find the knock off option in tweaksbox. Just thought id share.
"Insert funny star wars referencing signature here."
Anyone using the Verizon (VS985) patch can do the following to fix the roaming and to add the Verizon 4G LTE data icon, make sure the build.prop settings are changed to this:
ro.build.target_operator=vzw
ro.build.target_country=US
IT IS NOT MY FAULT IF YOUR DEVICE(S) BREAK/MAKE A BACKUP IN RECOVERY TO GO BACK TO!
I need some testers to test the guide on ZV8 PM me if you want to test it. You just need to report back to me if it worked or not and what carrier(s) your using this on and what kind of connections your getting.

Step 1:
Download "Shortcut master" pro or lite doesn't matter (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.shortcutmaster.lite)
Step 2:
Go into "Shortcut master" and click the little 3 dot (menu) and click "Search..."
Step 3:
Click the little drop down in the upper left corner and select "System apps" (Just to narrow things down )
Step 4:
Then on the line labeled "Enter text to search" (search bar/line) and then type "IOT" then click the "Search" button
Step 5:
Click on the option that says "com.lge.SprintHiddenMenu.iot.IotHiddenMenuMain" some options will come up click on the little star that says "Favorite" and then click "Launch" and grant shortcut master su permisson (The star just makes a shortcut on the home screen for quick access)
Step 6:
Click on Network mode and use the drop down menu to scroll down and select "GSM only" If done your signal bar(s) should have a little red "x" over them. (This part does not work on ZV8 but I am working to fix it)
Step 6
Click the back button until you get back to "Shortcut master" then search for "apn"
Step 7:
Click on "com.lge.hiddenmenu.vzw_only.ApnSettings" and "Favorite" then launch it like before
Step 8:
Create a new Apn I wouldn't delete any system one's you may end up not getting data or not being able to send MMS (pictures)
Step 9:
Save your settings and reboot (this way the apn and the radio(s) restart. If you really dont't want to reboot you can go into a terminal emulator and run these commands: su then press the enter key then type killall rild then press enter. This will restart your radio(s) the same thing happens when you reboot.)
Step 10:
Go to settings>roaming>scroll down for GSM settings (Check the GSM box and agree to the pop up)

Revert:
Step 1: Go back into your IOT settings and select system selection and change it one of the cdma options
Step 2: Go back to the apn settings and swap them back to "Internet"
Step 3 Reboot and have cdma again

FIXES-
HiddenMenu force close:
Some say there are problems with the hiddenmenu force closing I recommend that you install this copy of my hiddenmenu that I use View attachment HiddenMenu.apk. Install to system>app>. Also make sure that you have your sprint sim in while you do this then put in your other sim. This is from my stock g3 ROM so I guess (thanks lg for the apk)
It's not working at all:
For some this doesn't work at all I recommend you change your rom to this one it works for me http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/development/rom-stock-zv6-base-odex-deodex-t2949087 (Stock ZV6 I'm using the odex version).
Straight Talk fix (>>>maybe<<<):
For some with straight talk wireless they can not get it to work at all. So I was thinking and I was thinking and I figured that you could go into your dialer app and dial the following code (depending on ROM) here it is: ##update# (##878283#) <<< Cheat Cheat. This will reboot your phone and update your network profile/prl and might work or break your phone. Make a back up before doing this! UPDATE*You may want to use the cloudy g3 rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/devd...6315#downloads(make sure to download 1.2) its based of the international rom but may fix your gsm some members say it does. But you still have to follow my guideUPDATE*
If after doing this wifi calling or any sprint apps go missing then check out this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/help/fix-missing-wifi-calling-zv4-t2842102
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Second Method (Cm12 based)
I finally found a way to get my phone unlocked on cm 12! The method below is not mine I am just sharing a guide! All credits go to D-FUSE for making this amazing rom I a just putting together a guide in order to help
Go to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...m-unoffical-dirty-unicorns-beta-test-t3039365
1) Download the latest version
2) Download gapps
3) Download the GSM build.prop
4) Download ZV4 baseband
Once you have them all downloaded flash all 4 in recovery at once then reboot. Make sure your GSM sim is in the phone when you are rebooting. Go through the set up and everything.
5) Go into the settings and click "More"
6) Click "cellular networks"
7) Click "apns"
8) Scroll down and find yours.
9) Reboot.
Once you have rebooted you should see your signal if you don't then keep reading.
1) Open your phone app
2) Dial *#*#4636#*#*
3) Click the first option and scroll down
4) Click your network type and scroll down the menu then click "LTE/GSM"
5) Once your connection has been established go ahead and reboot
Or.....
Download a terminal app from the playstore
1) Once in a terminal app type the following commands (run each command on it's own.
su <Gets SuperSu premissions
(Press enter/return)
killall rild <kills your radio then makes it restart
(Press enter/return)
If you have any more problems PM me for the quickest help or comment!
I'm assuming this is for stock only?
Update I reverted to stock and followed all directions but it wouldn't read my T-Mobile Sim card.
Yes im using the stock zv6 try going into settings>roaming>avaiable gsm networks and select tmobile also correct the apn
I wonder what data connection options there are when on gsm? I think it's just cdma... no lte on gsm side correct?
Well i dont have anything gsm but I would think so
To see all connections go on the playstore and search "4636" should be the first one (looks like a blank android guy)
My is already unlocked and currently using Airtel India should i follow or use this ??
Will the phone still work on Sprint after this, or does this make it GSM only?

As you see, I can select one of the network mode freely.
How to:
*remember to backup the edited file.
Just go to the Root Exporter to find out the file:
system/csc/customer.xml
And then,
edit the permission to 0000(Origin 0644 rw-r-r)
Save and reboot
After rebooted you can see you are able to select only 3g mode and more in setting>mobile network
Enjoy(*゚∀゚*)
Click Thanks if you like and replied if you face other problem.
Sent from my SM-A5108 using Tapatalk
There is also a way to lock LTE.
Your device must be Rooted at first.
Find out the file: system/csc/others.xml in Root Exporter and then edit this file as below:
1.Copy this code
<CscFeature_Setting_CustNetworkSelMenu4>LTEONLY</CscFeature_Setting_CustNetworkSelMenu4>
2.And then insert to the others.xml(bottom of the text).
Look at the following picture.
3.After rebooted and you will see.
No other way to do this at present.
enjoy.[emoji1]

Hi, didn't work for me. Model is a SM-A310F.
Original options in network mode were:
LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connection)
WCDMA/GSM (auto connection)
WCDMA only.
No further options have appeared. I thought 'GSM only' might be there (which is 2g).

Be sure you have done the above.
In fact different carrier still have different options.
Here Is my situation.
I've 2 SIM cards.
Before edit,
When insert 1 SIM card:
●Carrier 1 only have
2/3g auto
2/3/4g auto
●Carrier 2 only have
2/3/4g auto
If I insert 2 SIM cards:
Carrier 1 must be main card. Carrier 1 have no choice but 2/3/4g auto. meanwhile,Carrier2 only choose 2g only.
After edit it both Carrier have
2g only
3g only
2/3g auto
2/3/4g auto
*4g only(need to edit the other.xml)
So after I edit, I earn 2g only, 3g only and 4g only.
It Is my result test By A5108 (duos SIM CHINA MOBILE Carrierversion).
The result still may vary from various Carrier of country.
--If you have done the above,it's believe that you can choose all network mode by theory.
--If your network mode still change nothing,May there are some setps you made mistakes.
So,I wander if you have make a mistake following the setps?

Nothing change for me too
Still same as original
A710FD telkomsel carrier
But it works for me by doing this steps
Go to access point
And then internet
Then go to bearer and check just LTE
Thanks for your correcting and sharing.

Upgraded from 5.1.1 (lollipop) to 6.0.1 (marshmallow). '2G only' has been added to the range of options. Also WCDMA is renamed 3G, GSM is 2G.
The following menu selections now appear:
LTE/3G/2G (auto connection)
3G/2G (auto connection)
3G only
2G only
Useful being able to select 2G in poor coverage areas.

Hello
China Packages have limited active Bands and Aggregation is not active on Global Bands! This guide will help you to remove that limit and active global bands easily!
Because of new security patch, your device must be rooted to be able to activate Diag Port!
I have edited the needed file and all you need is below files, So download them and do the rest:
Files Required
1. IMEI Converter
https://www.mediafire.com/file/4qkiwnglhnejtmb/IMEI_Converter.exe/file
2. QPST Flash Tools
https://androiddatahost.com/w68st
3. Notepad++
And the Important File
https://www.mediafire.com/file/k5yccs1ih2islv8/EditedQCN.xqcn/file
Guide:
First thing First:
I'm Not Responsible for any Damage caused to your phone
Use QPST Flash tools and make a backup, So if any thing happened wrong you can restore it easily!
For start, the Diag Port must be on:
There are two ways to enable diagnostic mode after root which are as follows:
1. ADB
Enable "USB Debugging"on your phone.
Connect it to your PC/Laptop.
Open "Minimal ADB & Fastboot" Command Prompt with administrative rights.
Type adb devices and press enter.
Type adb shell and press enter.
Type su and press enter.
Type setprop sys.usb.config diag, adb and press enter.
2. Terminal Emulator App
Install any "Terminal Emulator" app from play store e.g. Termux
Enable "USB Debugging"on your phone.
Connect it to your PC/Laptop.
Open "Termux" .
Type su and press enter.
Type setprop sys.usb.config diag, adb and press enter.
If got success you must see the Diag Port in Device Manager like this:
{

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
So let's start,Connect phone to PC:
1- Open QPST and make a backup
Save the file for any further problem
Now use the IMEI Converter and convert your IMEI to HEX!
NOW:
Open Editedqcn file with Notepad++
1. Find the line zz zz zz zz zz zz zz zz zz
Replace them with the HEX number of your FIRST IMEI
2.Find the line xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx
Replace them with the HEX number of your Second IMEI
3.Find your WIFI Mac address- Go to setting/My device/All specs/status
Find the lines(4 lines) zx zx zx zx zx zx
replace them with your WIFI MAC (the mac is already in HEX so, no need to change just find the exact)
4.Now save the file
Open QPST and thsi time choose restore tab, browse for qcn file that edited and restore it in your phone! Wait for 10 second and then unplug the phone!
Restart
And Boom
Now 4G+

This guide is for Chinese packages that don't aggregate bands in other countries !
One question:
This procedure unlock BAND 28 in chinese phones too?
Because I buy a chinese one (in a Xiami store in Shangai) and use it in Brazil. When I was in São Paulo I already saw 4G+. but I don´t know if it was using BAND 28.
Thanks
thanks for your work, I did everything as instructed and BOOM... no 4G+

I believe that this is carrier dependent also, so if your carrier doesn't support aggregation, then no use about all this process!
Let's use my example, i have global version of this phone and all of this is natively supported and when i am within reach of my carrier station then i have 4G+ sign, but when is other way around then there is no 4G+ icon, no carrier aggregation!
If I put my sim card in my old Samsung s8 I have full range 4G+, on Mi9 full range 4G only. So I'm sure it's the Mi9's fault.
I am using xiaomi.eu and I get 4g+ on mine. I suppose I don't have to do this, right.
Can this support b20 on chinese device model?

Excellent!
Then You know 100% that there is a "fault" on Mi 9 side but again, if You have Global-EEA Version and not Chinese then this is strange because all this bands should be already unlocked-enabled in Global-EEA version of this device.
Now it's cross my mind, what type of ROM is on Your device?!
Is it Global ROM or EEA ROM?!
I believe that I heave red on some forum that if You are in EEA region then it's better to flash this ROM on device because there is also some modem drivers discrepancy between Global and EEA version of the ROM (if You compare sizes of corresponding files in those two ROM's, You will see that they are different also).
Now, maybe I'm wrong but I also have this EEA ROM on my device and just as i have said, at me this carrier aggregation is working as it should.

Put your SIM card in the S8+, turn on mobile data and wait till you connect to 4G+, then open the dialer and dial *#0011#, press STACK1 if the SIM is in slot 1, and STACK2 if in slot 2.
You'll get to a ServiceMode screen, take a screenshot of that and post it here. The phone may be using bands that the Mi9 doesn't support.
partially works
I have a Mi 9 Chinese, 6/128. I did all the procedures correctly, and it shows that I have 4G + on the screen, but when I try to use some application / browser, there is no connection. Any suggestions what might be wrong?
I live in Canada and I have a BC72 (Asian version). I am struggling to get VoLTE and VoWiFi working. I know that mbn file is the key to getting IMS support and sony seems to block some carrier mbn files (only mbn in sales areas are available). So recently I have been working on flashing mbn files to my phone.
UPDATE:
Everything works fine now. Here's the guide:
FIRST THING FIRST: Data is priceless. Always backup before you modify your phone software.
Disclaimer: Not every carrier in the world support VoLTE or VoWiFi. Please ask your carrier first to get more info if you don't know if they provide support to VoLTE or VoWiFi.
Things you need:
1. PC with windows or bootcamp (virtual machines won't work)
2. An Xperia 1 III with magisk installed (see guide here)
3. A reliable USB-C cable
Software you need:
1. EfsTools (from github)
2. Platform tools (from Google)
3. Qualcomm USB diagnostic port driver
4. QPST (from qpsttool.com)
3. mbn files (extract from your phone)
1. Open command line in the platform tools folder, type
Code:
./adb.exe shell
and press enter, you should see a linux shell on your command line starting with $. Then Type
Code:
su
and a super user window should pop up on your phone screen, after you allowing the permission, the $ should change into #, then type
Code:
setprop persist.usb.eng 1
. If your phone asks "Allow access?", press deny; if it doesn't, go to notification centre, find USB options, and select "No data transfer".
2. Go to your device manage on windows, there should be three "Xperia 1 III"s listed. Choose one, right click, and select "Update driver". In the pop up window, select "Browse my computer" and then "Select one from the available drivers". Find Qualcomm USB diagnostic 9091 and select next. Do the same thing for the rest two. For more details, please check this post and there's a Youtube video demonstration.
3. Open QPST Configurator, check the list and find which COM port corresponds to "LAHAINA". Go to the device manager and disable the rest, ONLY KEEP THE PORT FOR LAHAINA. Quit any QPST tools after this.
4. Open command line in the EfsTools folder, type
Code:
./EfsTools.exe efsInfo
and press enter. No error should occur if you configured correctly, and the COM port in step 3 should be shown.
5. Type
Code:
./EfsTools.exe writeFile -i mcfg_autoselect_by_uim -o /nv/item_files/mcfg/mcfg_autoselect_by_uim
and press enter. There is no expected output so that if there's no error message, you are good.
6. Select the mbn file from the mbn folder. Find the mbn file for your carrier. If you're using a secondary operator, please use the mbn file for the main operator (e.g. Koodo -> use Telus mbn). Copy the mcfg_sw.mbn to the root of the EfsTools folder, then type
Code:
./EfsTools.exe uploadDirectory -i mcfg_sw.mbn -o / -v
and press enter.
7. After the command line done it's magic, reboot your phone. Type
Code:
*#*#4636#*#*
in the phone original dialler. Select Phone Information, press the dots at the upper-right corner and select IMS Status, you can check if the IMS status is registered.
Now, you can enjoy VoLTE, VoWiFi, and even 5G (depends on your carrier's support). If you don't see VoLTE or VoWiFi toggle in your phone settings, try install VoEnabler in magisk or run these in adb shell:
Code:
setprop persist.vendor.dbg.ims_volte_enable 1
setprop persist.vendor.dbg.volte_avail_ovr 1
setprop persist.vendor.dbg.vt_avail_ovr 1
setprop persist.vendor.dbg.wfc_avail_ovr 1
Sorry for the late posting. I've been finding mbn files for other carriers but it seems there's no specific carrier's mbn files available on Snapdragon 888 (or I haven't found one). I'll update if there's any progress.

Interested in the progress of this...if I can get WiFi Calling i would prefer that over LTE calling for when I go to my Sister's Ranch where there's no signal what so ever...
I'm very interested in this, I've been looking for a way to get TMO Wi-Fi calling working on this phone for a while now.
My phone just died today. I’m not sure if the mbn file caused that. I won’t post the guide until I figure it out :-(

Damn fam, hope it works out...i just cross flashed to the US rom from SEA cause I'm on Metro PCS but my modem got ****ed.....so no calling and network is constantly disconnecting
I have the SEA version in the US on T-Mobile. I flashed Ponce's Pixel Experienc GSI and Sony's binaries (no idea if this was necessary) and I have VoLTE and VoWiFi.

The guide is done guys. I'm still looking for methods to get mbn files not in the sony firmware.
Thanks for the update on the guide. I believe step 5 is missing a part. The mcfg_autoselect_by_uim file is not in the EFSTools download on Github.

Yes. I am stuck on the same step. It is returning the below error:
Critical error. Could not find file 'E:\Sony Xperia 5 III\EfsTools-0.14\mcfg_autoselect_by_uim'.
@Forbesii Could you please help/guide on this?
Ignored this step and it still works. The VoLTE and VoWifi both are working now (for Reliance Jio network in India). AMAZING article!
Definitely save it for future.
@Forbesii - On a side note: I am trying to add Airtel mbn (India carrier) file to my Xperia 5 III but it simply doesn't work. Neither VoLTE nor VoWifi. Are there any secondary steps/different command to copy this for SIM 2?

I haven’t tested on SIM 2. The second sim at least on Xperia 1 III is not correctly recognized by EFSTools. I might check other methods for the second SIM slot.
Thanks. Will wait to hear back from you.
