I recently purchased a new case for the device.
The photo I attached shows the ringer slider (my low tech term for whatever it is called) at the top of the screen so you don't have to open the case to answer the phone:
Um....
I have no idea how to get the ringer slider to the top of the screen.
Is it possible? Have I been duped?

New to this forum so apoligies if this post is in the incorrect place.
I rooted and installed CM9 last night and tried to follow the noob guide which was not that clear especially when you don't know what flash means. I know I am a real noob I ended up finding a great video by searching Samsung galaxy s2 root. Had all the links and latest version of cf root.
I have to say CM9 is what the S2 should of been like !
I have a few questions though. Sorry in advance if these are noobie questiins.
1. On stock ics for my device when i chose a picture from gallery for wallpaper it would let you choose if you wanted it in portrait or across 3 parts. Now I have a box which I have to adjust and I can never get the size correct !!!
2. How do I get a seperate picture on my lock screen.
3. How do I get camera to save to SD card , there is no option in camera settings ?? would this be because google devices have no sd slot ? is so how can i change this?
4. How do I get the cool unlock effect then after I do that get the pin option ?
5. Anyway of adjusting keyboard options like key size (way to small at the moment) and feedback as vibration is too strong at present.
6. How do I get folders in the app draw ? Can only do it on homescreen. Very annoying as could do this previously and I am ocd with these things.
7. Found that if I use the camera there is a very slight pink splodge in the center of the screen. Never had this before ?
8. No 3G but i do get the H symbol occasionallyy pop up??
9. Battery life poor and really really much worst whilst using gps.
10. gps takes at least 5 mins to get a signal on navigation / maps even when i have it fully on.
11. How can I get notification numbers on the text and email symbol on the homescreen ? beleive its on stock ics.
12. Anyone know if whilst in rom manager I can update to the latest nightly build and is this the best way to update my phone now i am on cm9 ?
13. Sometimes my homescreen swipes are inaccurate ?
14. keyboard presses sometimes dont vibrate but letter appears?

16. my videos on my sd card wont play ??
17. lost notes which came with the s2? where can i find it ??
18. how can i get gestures like cm7
19. how can i change themes as the option seems to be unavailable in the menu e.g its there but wont let me press it ?/

I bought a S4 i9500 Exynos 5410 Octa 4.2.2 updated and I rooted it while in China.
I want to know will this phone work when I return to USA on the USA networks?
How can I get notifications in the lock screen like you do on the iphone? I already tried the app iN! iphone notifications downloaded from Google play store. It does not work. I know you can change the ROM but I did not want to have to do that because I am new at this and don't know enough about that. The notifications that i get with the latest update don't tell me anything. Like the WeChat app. I don't get a notice in the lock screen. I don't get a little red bubble in the icon on the home screen either. I do get this for the SMS but not the WeChat app. Also I don't get any notifications for the emails.
With my stock head phones I can hardly hear anyone on the phone. The volume is way to low. I tried my old iphone head phones with the same result. I tried several different apps that are suppose to raise your volume but none of them worked. What should I do? Please note that the volume from the ear speaker on the phone is loud enough. It is only when i use the head phones that is is to low. I also tried the S4s built in ADAPT SOUND program and it helped a little but not enough.
I am new to XDA developers and did not know where to post this question/ Please help
does anyone know of a way i can get the international version -5 or +5 auto-brightness adjustment? i want to extend my screen on time a little bit without having to adjust it manually all the time.

I know this isn't what you're looking for - but - if you can't find it, take a look on the playstore for an app called Display Brightness - it has the icon of a yellow lightbulb. You can place a fine line along any edge of your screen and simply move it up or down to adjust the brightness. You don't have to leave what you're doing and I find it wonderful when I suddenly go out in the middle of the day and can't see a thing - at least I know where the control is.
I am new to these forums and to Android. I recently purchased the Verizon S4 and have rooted. I am basically giving myself a crash course in all this. Anyways, I am very disappointed with the screen when on a phone call. The keypad is too high and the interface looks remedial. Would someone please direct me or explain how to customize this myself? Thank you for any help

In desperately looking for an app or mod that does what's in the subject.
I'd like to have my s3 screen on when i remove it from my pocket but ONLY if notifications are present.
This is a feature that some custom ROMs have (e.g. C-rom) but i wonder if i can get the same behaviour on my stock rooted s3.
I know that apps like "gravity screen" do something similar but in don't think they can turn on only inc ase of pending notifications.
