Updated my GS5 this morning to G900TUVU1ANE5 with Odin, so far the phone feels faster ( opening camera/Gallery) no UI changes except for the new Wi-Fi Calling toggle on the notification bar.
Just receive the update OTA and my phone is much more responsive. Opening apps, camera, etc

You're on it Beans! Do you plan on rebasing Alliance on the new OTA?
I hope this isn't a dumb question, but. ... can we assume that the update is "safe" to take OTA? What I mean is, are we pretty sure tmobile is not going to lock the bootloader in an update?

Solution 1: Update the firmware with KIES ans you will have your phone unrooted.
Solution 2: Use the "Firmware Upgrade and Initialization" in the "Tools" of your Samsung KIES and you will have the newest firmware and with everything reset
Are you on a stock or a custom Rom?

I am currently on 4.2.2 MDK rooted. I haven't done much except flash AIO Mods for odexed and freeze OTA, and delete TalkBack, GoogleTTS, and SamsungTTS. Someone told me that I can't upgrade due to being rooted. So my question is, how do I update without losing my data? Im willing to give up root too. Make sure that it's noob-friendly too, gingerbread for the X-Play was a lot easier. Thanks in advanced!
Your best bet is to Odin back to stock MDK.

Hi guys!
What rom are you guys using for the sprint version mega (SPH-L600). Do the G-19xxx version roms works for the Sph-L600? I've tried every rom for the 19xxx model on my sph-L600. 3G/Data even calls doesn't work. So any stable roms for the mega Sph-L600 with a working 3G or LTE?
Thanks in advance. :highfive:
I was thinking about buying one but there seems to be no development for the sprint model. Is the boot loader unlocked?

Yes. If data is not working you need to go to settings and switch to 3g only. If that fails download an app called phone info. And switch it to CDMA only. Should be good then.
