Try framaroot or try pushing the superuser binaries manually via adb shell using the recovery .

framaroot didn't woRked and I can't find cwm.img of s5.5 too. I think Chinese firmware is easy to root while the Indian firmware is pretty hard or just the right method is unavailable at the moment.

Hi friend, i have tried one amazing tool with i could root My Xolo X910, X1000 and Lenovo K900 all are intel inside. This was the only tool which could root these phones. i am 100percent sure that this will root Gionee S5.5.
i have uploaded a zip file of tool Impactor please download it and install as per instruction given on following page.

02 enable "Adb" mode and start impactor it should root your phone within 3-4 Min.

impactor didn't detected my phone. You should buy another phone cause it heats like sun and average use temperature is 40 degrees and 50+ degree while gaming.

I had sucessfully rooted S5.5 over a month a ago.. to be honest, I'm not 100% anymore about the tool, but I believe it was Root Genius that managed to "break thru"
Had problems getting the phone drivers working, and the "regular" ADB still doesn't work for me.. I can, however, piggy-back on Shuame (I think it runs a "helper") - keep it running in the back and all other ADB connections will also work fine (MTK Droid tools, etc..). I also managed to port Carliv's Touch recovery.. the "touch" is not working ATM, but one can still use vol up/dwn & pwr w/o a problem

Good but I rooted my phone 3 days ago already however the process is so lengthy I will post it after my examination are over. I also have cwm for it in English working perfectly and 100% rooted. Thanks everyone here who motivated me to do something I couldn't do before. I think no phone can stop us from rooting it lol

As per your reply i bought Lenovo K900 for my self. I rooted it and lower the CPU frequency to 933Mhz with this setting the battery life is dramatically increased and no more heating issue at all. I did this through "Rom tool box pro" u can buy this on play store. When ever i play game i increase the frequency and enjoy the speed and performance and for routine use i decrease the frequency. But my Sister wants to buy only Gionee S5.5 and rooting is must so please post the link or rooting tool name to help me and others.

Download RootGenious from shuame(.)com/en/root/ ensure you have drivers installed grom Gionee website gionee(.)co.in/portfolio/elife-s5-5/ then connect the phone, turn on debug mode and run RootGenious. Done.
Remove the brackets in the links.

Yes I have and it works.
So the Android 4.4 update has arrived for the Indian Gionee S5.5...I'm unfortunately not seeing it as available on my Chinese Gionee s5.5.
Could anyone here potentially upload the update files, or even a stock Gionee S5.5 Indian (4.2) Rom?

Anyway, I can chip in, but I don't have the device. I almost always manually root my Android phone after reverting to stock ROM (I'm a bit of a Linux terminal freak ), so I know the general process. I need someone with the device and a Linux computer (yes! I need someone with a Linux computer! Windows or Mac won't do!) with some experience in command line interface.
Who's willing? Oh, and yeah, make sure your Linux box has all the essential Android development environment set up.

I like the device, no offense, for that price it is a great phone. It is just that i am so used to rooted phones and I thought this would be a cakewalk for me. But this is hard to crack

I understand u need to install only compatible custom recovery not just any cwm or twrp. it may brick/bootloop or device if recovery is not compatible with your phone.
But main issue is to root the device first so that u can modify recovery or the system, but unfortunately we don't know how to root this dream d1. I ve tried so many methods but failed.

Sorry for late answer! I 've already tried both of them and i had no succes super one click stops at shell rooting 07 and one click root never succeeds.
I have root and custom recovery. I could do with some help with deodexing. X-ultimate doesnt seem to do the trick. I think i need a custom kernel for full adb, but i'm not sure. If anybody can help that would be great. The ot 903 is mtk6573 based if thats any help.

Can you help me rooting it, or gie any rom?
I used EROOT which you can find if you search on google. The instructions are in Chinese, I think, but thankfully theres a big button that says
Root. Just wait for it to load up, press root, it takes seconds. The phone wont reboot, superuser will be installed but none functional until its rebooted manually. After reboot, update busybox. I cant find any roms, but im trying to deodex to customize stock rom. Hope this helps.

you have to download eroot then install then get usb cable cable plug into alcatel phone and click root its in chineese so wait for it to say alcetel ot 903 and click root once done it should all be checked in the boxes and then turn off phone via the top button holding it done then power off and power on and vwola ALCATEL OT 903 ROOTED AND READY TO USE

So, then I figured I wouldn't go medding around any more with my new phone and let the professinals take it from there.

I finally found a way to get it rooted. All credits to the blogpost on thebroodle.com for Micromax A121 which mentions VRoot for rooting. Vroot is now iRoot and that's what I used to root my phone.
I got several warning messages for downloading iRoot software, don't know why, but it worked great. I can't post links so you'll have to do some work to get these softwares Here's how to do it:
1. Install the right drivers for your phone. Search for Xolo drivers and download them from androidmtk.com
2. Install iRoot. Link can be found on the blog post for Micromax A121. Search "root micromax a121" and click on the result from thebroodle.com
3. Connect your phone to the computer and iRoot should detect the right model. Then click Root and in a few minutes, it should be done.
The phone will restart and screens will change in iRoot but don't touch anything until it says it's done. That's all. Enjoy!
Now I'm gonna go install Titanium backup finally. :laugh:

We know that root is unsafe for people who cannot manage it. iRoot is a kind of tool to help you root your android, like jailbreak. So in fact, it is an unsafe tool. If you get the root permission with out control it may demage your system, so, you may get warning messages. And, go to the offical site iroot.com to download the software. it's the lasted and safe one. Most of other site, may changed some thing in iroot so it may not safe I think.

I've ported old TWRP 2.7.1.0 version for this platform. Just flash through Fastboot mode (Power+Vol-), run recovery (Power+Vol+) and launch rooting (Superuser) installation, plus get normal recovery util to backup/restore any data from/to your device including unique EFS/NVRAM paritions to/from SDCard. You'll also get full rooted ADB access to the device's file system while TWRP is loaded to change ANY files/bytes you want one by one. w/o any f..n restrictions. This is especially useful to recover/fix any data/files while device is broken into the some unbootable condition.

This is a guide on rooting Huawei Y5-II(the version i have is CUN-U29)but it works for all versions
For this you need kingroot apk version 4.9.6(latest) you can get that from apk mirror or googling it

Ok,now for the rooting part you just install kingroot apk(if it didnt work for you before install it again and if you get something saying it denied installation of kingroot just tap the arrow and tap install anyway)open kingroot app then tap on try to root and it should work if it doesnt though there is a solution,go to settings>apps>kingroot>clear data then try again and it should work

Have anyone Rooted and edited build.prop or flashed custom ROM on oppo f3 plus CPH1613 ?
Can anyone help with proper installation guide I have found some documents over here and youtube none seam to be genuine or with clear and working links I have also pasted the link of the thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/rooting-oppo-f3-plus-t3596236) which seams to have some genuine details (bit dated and still not fully or properly answered the question)
Can someone help in rooting at-least if not custom ROM have tried to look for most of the online thirdparty providers of custom ROM which seams to have no info on this phone?
NOTE: step by step instruction and proper links are appreciated

have you tried iRoot and Kingroot apps to root ur device? if not, download the apks from google and give it a try

few days back i did tried all the way to root my device n i did tried iroot, kingoroot, kingroot,oppo tools, but failed. there is no root method yet. some clowns r asking for money to root our device but they are fake with fake proofs.
i have very less hope for any development for our device bcoz of the history of oppo deveploment in xda is poor.
Seams no one would build a custom rom for oppo f3 or f3 plus
This post has not revived any positive update or solutions seams like no one cares for this model and I'm now regretting the reason I bought such a good hardware with worst software
