I just want to add that to stock deodexed stock rom 4.2.1 without using any apps/3rd party apps

Is it possible to have kernels and mods like 15 toggles and extended boot menu on a stock rom without having to flash a custom rom to have those mods?
Not unless its a Google Play theme or mod .
Kernels can be flashed to any stock rom .
Stock rom needs to be deodexed and rooted for modifications .

Ah k thanks. So if I I root and deodex a stock rom and then a new version is released and I also root and deodex the new version will I be able to flash without a full wipe and only cache and dalvik?

It is difficult to have themes on stock Roms.. But most of the mods work on stock rom.. By the way if your definition of stock rom is un rooted rom.. Then no it is not possible.. You will need to have root permissions at least to tamper with the system files
By the way I am typing from my phone.. So expect typos!!

Well have not tried it on odexed version...but if the OP uses a deodexed SystemUI and and then makes the changes ...after pushing it back deletes the SystemUI.odex ..it should work..no need to have a deodexed ROM..
AFAIK
I am having troubles even making it work with the Deodexed ROM..

So I can just flash the 15 toggles through cwm on a stock rom with no problems?
Hi guys, I recently updated my chinese dual sim phone to jelly bean. But the chinese guy who cooked the rom put a bunch of things in there.
Its super annoying that everytime I get an sms I get a popup with the content and options to reply, delete, etc... i have no idea how to disable that. It works like ios!!!!! Aweful!!!
Also the lockscreen wallpaper cannot be changed, and its an horrendous one. In fact I would like to have the ics stock lockscreen, but the jelly bean stock one is good enough.
I'm rooted btw, and have a custom recovery so I can flash a. Zip file that could replace the apks
Also a question, the bubbles (noisefield) live wallpaper does not work in jelly bean? I mean, I tried to install it, and tried to move it to the system/app folder (with rw-r--r--) and it does not work...
Thanks in advance....

I download it from a chinese forum, you first need to flash the custom recover that i have in english. Then flash the zip. I will post all of that later if you want me to.

Update:i managed to disable the sms popup. But still like to go back to the stock ics lockscreen...

If you look in stock rom system and framework files you will see that every apk followed with same name .odex file. Deodexed roms have only apk files without odex which allow you easy modify system and framework files. Also deodex lighter about 10%. All custom roms like MIUI, CM and so on are deodexed.

You can try, but i do not recommend. It's working 100% if flash by bootmenu.

You can install on second system.
Must to extract the package into the clockworkmode/backup folder in your internal storage, then restore as a backup on the second system.
So your stock rom will be untouched.

Uploaded and ready to download from dev host
Installed as second system with BMM 0.2.7 seems to work flawlessly, also the Razr m UI is smoothest than applied myself on stock rom or on other roms.
Will report back about battery life.
Nice work artur0588.
When you enable the alarm you get fc. Also when you press Ok after you modify the settings of a alarm you get fc.
Sent from my XT910 using Tapatalk 2
Yes, with Alarm you get FC's but the Settings will be saved. Therefore not a big deal.
But, howto activate the Overclocking - Thing if Bootmenu will be used ?
I've put the File in with the proper Permissions but still not seeing any kind of governors or Overclocking capabilities.
Regards
MoS
yes i know the settings are saved, but i was just saying about the fc, in stock 672.180.41.XT910.Retail.en.EU i didn't had any fcs with the alarm, so it must be some of the tweaks added..

Is there any way to enable just the feature of being able to skip tracks while screen is locked in the stock JB rom for XT910?
I know there are a ton of custom ROMs that have this but I quite like the stock one except for this one feature

Can you share the name of the file or the thread please?
But thanks to artur0588, there is a way to get this working on the stock JB ROM.
Note that you need to have root for this.
Get the "android.policy.jar" from /sys/framework on his DSEA ROM - http://d-h.st/vhi
Copy the extracted "android.policy.jar" from the DSEA ROM over to the same location in the stock ROM.
Reboot.
That's it :highfive:
But a word of caution - This will result in the loss of the power menu options. When you long press the power key, you will just directly soft reboot!
Hello,
I was wondering I have xperia P with android 4.1.2.
Google maps for example is working a bit laggy on this phone can this be fixed?
Should I try installing a rom for android 4.4 or maybe 5.0?
I don't know wich one I need to install for best allround performance for this phone or is stockrom good enough??
Any idea guys?
I allready tried in the past some cyanide mod rom but my phone didn't boot anymore luckely I could let it work again with flashtool64
Any tips? Or can I just optimize this phone with special applications for rooted phones?
Greetings Avanox
In my opinion you should stay on stock rom. I have used both 4.4 and 5.1 but the stock 4.1.2 is most stable among them.
You should root your phone, make TA backup (in case you haven't unlocked bootloader in the past) then unlock bootloader.
Install Nemesis kernel.
Remove all unnecessary bloatwares.
Add these lines to build.prop
dalvik.vm.verify-bytecode=false
dalvik.vm.dexopt-flags=v=n,o=v,m=y

Flash this zip https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByS_TYUaHe5SWi1HaE5qMUYwWVE/view?usp=docslist_api

Where can I install nemesis kernel??
I had an alternative app to remove bloatware ,
But what apps should I remove that are bloatware?
Oh and I have android 4.1.2 running on this phone.
What is this zip flash thing for??

You can flash the kernel in fastboot mode from this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...nel-nemesis-kernel-v6-3-revised-21-2-t2214141
Also you can use any root file manager to delete apps from the system partition of your phone. I'm using ES file manager 3.2.5.5 (old version) because the new version is bloated itself. I don't exactly remember how many app I have removed but after deleting them I have the following apps (attached in screenshots) in system/app. Note that there are three extra apps - ESExp.apk, CPU.apk, Superuser.apk. The first one is file manager app, the second one is No frills CPU control app, and the last is SuperSU. Also I have updated Play Store (Phonesky.apk) and Google Play Services (GmsCore.apk) to the versions 6.7.13.E-all and 9.0.82(034) respectively and moved it to the system replacing the older versions. You can find both on www.apkmirror.com. I have also deleted apps from system/etc/product and system/etc/customization.
The zip contains Xperia keyboard 6.4.A.1.44, Xperia Home launcher 5.1.A.0.20 and Dialer app without any lag.
You can find build.prop in /system/build.prop and edit with a text editor. Those lines will allow ported Keyboard and Dialer app to work without getting FC.
