[Q] about Z2 D6502 FW - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

is there any/possible 17.1.A.2.69 FW for D6502?
i've tried to flash 17.1.A.2.69 FW on Z2 D6502 but end up with sim card not detected and thus no signal

Did you flash .69 for D6503 on D6502? If so, I think you are lucky you didn't brick it.

[Q] Downgrading FTF

HI ALL,
I updated to 4.3 without thinking first. I don't have an unlockable bootloader so I cannot apply root on that rom. The only rom I was able to root is .532.
I went to the [FTF Depository] Sony Firmware Releases (Latest: 14.2.A.0.290 - C6833) **UPDATED* thread and downloaded the [STOCK ROM] [FTF] Xperia Z Ultra (C6806) 14.1.B.1.532 "US Retail"
I'm on bell network from Canada but since it was the same model I only though that the input language would be english only. The problem is I don't have network signal. It says, Invalid Card, Emergency Calls only.
Then I tried to flash the baseband from [STOCK ROM] [FTF] Xperia Z Ultra (C6806) 14.2.A.0.290 "Generic US" which works on my phone but still the same baseband.
I'm confused. Is there a way to use the .532 firmware on my phone ? I have a C6806 from Bell with locked bootloader wich sucks btw.
Thanks
Sylvain

Unfortunately If you have a locked bootloader, and what sounds like a locked SIM for Bell only, you can only use the ROM that your carrier provides you with. You'll need to find someone in Canada with your device (ultra) and then get them to send you the FTF file.
and then flash that.
Its the only solution know of

Thank you for your reply, really appreciate it. But I found a solution
After digging in the Q&A I found someone said that he lost his IMEI after downgrading from 4.3 and it was the same thing as me I had 0000000000 as IMEI. I tried multiple thing, and finally after downgrading to .532 excluding the baseband, upgrading to .257 and downgrading again to .532 fixed my issue with the invalid card now I have my LTE, signal and root back online.
Did you exclude the baseband when upgrading to .257 and downgrading back to .532?

The guide in general is now very simple to follow is starting from .290, there is now just a single file to flash, although it will say that the model no. is a c6833 at the end, but that will change back when you flash the correct ftf.

Problem with finding firmware D6503

Hello!
Today I get my Xperia Z2 branded by T-Mobile in Poland. I want to root without voiding my guaranty. I have FW 23.0.1.A.0.167 running Android 4.4.4. I'm know that i have to downgrade my firmware, but I can't find matching firmware for my device and brand. I've searched in this topic of course -
[FTF] STOCK FIRMWARES for Xperia Z2/Z2a (D65x3/D6502/SO-03F) [20141116]
Can somebody help me?
Greetings from Poland!
May I downgrade from 23.0.1.A.0.167 (4.4.4 update) to 17.1.2.A.0.314 Germany - unbranded - 1281-4640? Is that won't brick my device?

You can downgrade to any ftf until its for your model. you might want to try and use xperifirm for ftf download though. you might find your phone's ftf.

About updating to MM

So I noticed that sony released official 6.0 for our Z2, in my country we are not even updated to. 264( by ota and sony companion). So I want to update my device to MM via flashtool but all FTFs are for different countries. So I wonder which should I use, I'm afraid different countries fw may not compatible with my device. Since z2 is the very first high end device I own so I cant risk. Or can I just flash one of the ftf and exclude baseband, will that be ok? I have d6503 and a bit knowledge about flashtool
All firmwares are same except bloatwares for different countries. My z2 comes from UK market but I flash Russia FTF and it works perfectly
Ok thx

Xperia z2 d6503 Volume lvl

Good afternoon! Got a question. Bought phone xperia z2 d6503 firmware of the European region. Very quiet sound in the headphones. On any forum I read that this restriction is for the European region, and that if the US firmware to put out there, and the sound will be louder and XLOUD will work. Is it so?! If yes, then a link to the latest official firmware for the region.
Xloud is not available from lollipop onwards. if you want us firmware download the tool xperifirm http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...xperifirm-xperia-firmware-downloader-t2834142 and download the latest firmware for the z2 d6503 that is .575 firmware and flash it using xperia flashtool http://www.flashtool.net/downloads.php
steps how to flash http://www.xperiablog.net/2015/03/1...peria-lollipop-using-xperifirm-and-flashtool/ this is for lollipop but the rest steps are the same just download .575 firmware for z2 and the rest steps are the same. while download firmware in xperifirm choose the operator customized and the market of your own choice
