im on 4.1.2 XXEMG4 and the media process is running all the time!
I´ve found out, that the download provider (don´t know the exact process name) is causing that "running lock".
Because if i FC the download provider, the media process is getting quiet. But after reboot...same sh*t.
I have already reformatted my SD and filtered it of bad files.
That bug is only present on 4.1.2 and ICS Roms.
And please don´t recommend me to go to 4.3 or AOSP. 4.3 lag much more than 4.1.2 and on AOSP I have some codec problems.

If you insist on sticking with such an ancient firmware then you'll have to live with the bugs, try disabling the service.

I think it´s the fastest and most stable firmware for i9300. (I don´t think that I am the only one thinking so...)
If I disable the whole media process I´ll have no media scanner. For me a pretty important service of my phone.
If i disable the download provider I´ll get gapps FC´s.

Hi guys,
I just bought this phone for my Dad but I'm a little disappointed with it. Firstly, the phone doesn't support flash! Secondly, there is no way to sync the phone with Google Calendar. I've done as much research as possible including searches on this forum but nothing.
Others have had same issue as me with Flash saying it's not supported on this phone.
Unfortunately I can't find any explanation for the Google Calendar sync to not be working.
I updated the phone from 2.2 to 2.3.3 but same issue. Build is based on XXKPE. It's not a rooted phone, still using original firmware.

yeah its sad it dosent support flash.. but to be honest u should have researched it before buying the phone.. I mean, it's nothing like a out of the box surprise..
hmm.. about google calender, it's working fine for me.. I don't remember in stock firmware it was working or not (sorry), but currently I am on Coderom v2 and google calender is syncing good.. having problem with Facebook sync.. but that just a problem with the Coderom Rom.. and not the Phone..

Would flashing to KPN firmware from samfirmware.com resolve the issue for me?
go to settings>applications>manage applications> [find] Calendar Storage app, tap it and clear all its data. then just resync in settings>accounts&sync. works for me. g-luck
I just checked it again and it fixed itself! How weird is that!! Everything is working fine now. It's running 2.3.3 KPE ROM which is based on official firmware so no rooting needed.
Everything running very well now apart from lack of flash but not too bothered about it. Should have got a SGS instead though but too late now.

Apk Installation O.K., maps installation O.K., but when running it, the maps are unreadable, like scrambled view. I flashed ROM once again, formated the SD card, made a new installation of the apk and maps, but without luck.
Anyone else experienced the same problem? What to do? The ROM is extremely fast and I like it, though there are some things I prefer with other ROM's, but speed matters to me.

Hi, just to clarify to all of you when testing the ROMs.
I'm experiencing the same problem (NAVIGON problem) with HomICS 2.0 Venus ROM. Everything else is OK.
Viewranger and Navionics Marine Europe, which I use a lot, works fine with their maps.
With ROM CM7.2 stable DEODEXED, having no problem, but it is too slow in moments.
With ICS CM9.1 (Zeubeas) having no problem, but it freezes when have a tracker on, or during making a call.
Please advise what settings should I set, if possible in order to get NAVIGON operating in Extreme Legend Fuse? I think it should have to do something with graphics, or else?

I switch to use Sense 3.5 / Android 2.3.5, it's very smooth and nice but SIM Toolkit not work. Btw thats amazing ROM, you should try!

Now I'm using zueba's 9.1, but bugs appear all the time. With this particular ROM I must say I didn't have such problems.
I really don't know why those ROMs present wrong graphic, though I must say I'm a newbie and to be honest I don't know sh.t.
Anyway, if someone can help please do.

I noticed that my P7510 running on ICS 4.0.4 (XWLP5) has an unstable WiFi connection when the received WiFi signal strength is not maximum (2 or 3 out of 4 bars). Connection often disappears and when trying to reconnect to the WiFi network manually, the there is no response. Turning off / on Wifi on my Tab is no solution to the problem either. Even a full reboot does not always help. I updated from HC 3.2 to ICS 4.0.4. after full flasing HC 3.2 first.
Is this a known issue? I cannot find any decent info on this. Or is there a ROM that fixes this? Please help. Thanks in advance.
I had no problem with the WiFi what so ever not with 4.04 and not with cm 10 jelly bean

Thankfor replying. I did not have this issue HC 3.2. I went back to stock HC3.2 and updated via WiFi to official ICS v4.0.4. No official releases for my country for P7510 are available for my Tab, but other official ICS v4.0.4 versions I tried from Sammobile have same issue.
I'm thinking to go to CM 10 release, but since wiping is required and my P7510 has brick bug, I'm hesitating to do this operation.
Try the sammobile UK version that's what iam running and it had no problems
Cm10 is faster than official ics and gives u much more options It's a better experience at least for me except for a bug or tow but some people don't even notice them
About the brick bug I don't know what that is cause I had no problems wiping data so i can't help u their sorry

About the brick bug....... I just checked and as it turned out I too have the brick bug and I have actually ran EXPERIMENTAL-p4.zip
I have wiped the data and installed custom roms more than I can count......i don't know maybe it's over-rated or iam just lucky!!
Iam afraid to do it again now but he says here "Avoiding brick:
The only danger now seems to bi if you are on stock ICS ROM and you execute factory/data reset in Samsung recovery.
If you are using custom ROMs and CWM you should be safe because all custom ROMs/krenels have now removed mmc_cap_erase() from list of capabilities."

Sorry if my question looks noobish but I can't find anything relevant. I was running NeatRom Lite for a while without major issues except some touchwizz FCs, and decided to install the latest Omega. Now from times to times I got disconnected from the network and I can't even register on any available carrier.
1) Do you think a new modem will solve the problem ? I thought this was RIL related but the application Get RIL is only for AOSP/AOKP roms...
2) Are all modems working with XXLSJ ? The signal in France is really bad so I'd really like to change it...

Modem that comes with LSJ is LS6..I never had a problem with it. Try another modem like LQ6 .And i have used neatrom lite for weeks. But i never had a single FC, Specially with touchwiz. Are you sure you did a full wipe before installing the rom??

I cannot read my SIM contacts. All contacts/import from SIM screen stays white and empty. Randomly some CM based ROMs are having this problem for my S2. I'm with i9100 international S2. What to do ? SpiritROM on Samsung Galaxy S GT I-9000

I am using this ROM for last 2months, not much problems, but when i connect the phone to my PC, it doesnt prompt for selecting USB Mass storage. Due to this I am unable to transfer any data. I tried enable/disable Android Debugging, tried Options MTP/UMS from Settings->Storage->USB Computer Connection .. but still no luck.
Please suggest how I can enable the UMS.

I totally understand but sadly I cannot help you as I also have the same problem across the board with pacman, cyanogen, neatrom... all based on KK but it sounds like it is some thing to do with the base compilation. I never tried any Lollipop roms and wont bother I have spent a huge amount of time on this already.
Is your phone a GT I9100T? Mine is this model number
It was a wifi driver? based issue. which has nothing to do with the modem.
Other than this the spirit Rom was amazing. I wish I had 10 posts under my belt so I did not get sidelined to another thread. I would like to be part of solving this issue. Which im sure is possible. Maybe as simple as using the correct wifi software?
If anyone out there wants to be part of the solution please dont hesitate.

Thanks for the rom Nico, i remember the days where you made mods for RootBox. This is a very good rom (i'm still using it), full of customizazion possibilities, sadly it died soon.
SPIRIT Rom and bugs.... Well...
It is very stable and little bit spooky but still fency and stable rom . It is fast , just modify settings by Ur own pref. And i do suggest DorimanX kernel, v10XXX and time to time clean cache and anjoy this beauty rom

Well mate, do a total reset.... Use Odin and instal latest official JB, do repertion, my sugg is 3Gb data at least and offcourse 1Gb sistem... Maybe Ull needed for Lollipop and anyway it is fine to have it, ull never know... Do a little search for modem which is best represenative of ur radio and version of Jelly Bean(JB) for UR local .... for me, best one is I9100XXMS4 . Before modem, after instal JB, root Ur phone and downloaded ZIP of ROM, Gapps And Modem put on Sd or Internal(if in internal-dont format internal memory).... In Odin put PIT file and check RE-PARTITION field, TAR file of official ROM and chek PDA field, ellse live it like it is... Goa ahed and START it. Do NOT chek NAND field!
So conc: U need: PIt Repartition file, Samsung official Rom, PhilliZ kernel((for safe begining and Root)), Odin 3.07, Modem file I9100XXMS4(for modifying or latter purposes) and FAITh in Urselfe and knowledge Ask 4 more
