I am not sure how I bricked it, but I have tried to install both twrp recovery and cwm recovery but I couldn't get it to boot into recovery.
Then I tried goo manager and recovery. But now it won't boot at all.
If just hold down the power button it comes with Asus logo and doesnt come any further.
The same thing hold down power and volume down.
If I hold down vol up and power I just get a black screen.
I have installed universal naked driver to install apx drivers and it cant find it in device manager, but in "my pc" or whats it called in english.
I have tried to install adb but that cant find the device either.
Any advice what to do?
Edit: it is both unlocked and rooted

You have killed it mate by trying to flash a recovery onto it that wasn't meant for that boot loader.
APX mode is only any good if you have nvflash backups which you don't mention so absolutely nothing you can do.

So I installed this ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1200985) a few days ago w/o much trouble. Today I updated the ROM to version 2.4 (first used wipe.zip and then the rom). When I rebooted my tab I got stuck at a bootloop (the ROM's logo keeps showing up) and it seems I'm unable to get into recovery.
AFAIK, I should get into recovery by pressing the VOLUME UP & and the power button simultaneously, but nothing happens when I do this. Getting into fastboot isn't a problem, but I just can't seem to get into recovery mode.
Can I access my recovery menu through the fastboot via the SDK manager? Did I use the correct buttons to get into recovery?
Thanks in advance
You should push on both Power Button and Volume Down buttons. Right after the Samsung logo shows, you will see two menus, let go of both buttons immediately and choose your recovery boot. i hope this will help your problem
Hi,
I am planning to install heairybean ROM. When I boot in recovery (vol dwn + power -> vol up), I get Android with tummy open and red triangle. I think I have unblocked the bootloader (I see 4 icons after hitting vol dwn + power). Is there any stock recovery available? What I am missing? How can i proceed with the recovery installation?
Thanks in advance.

i got the same thing bud. and have no idea how to fix it? my tf201 is rooted and unlocked 100%. but beside the shrek with the red triangle i noticed that connecting the tablet to any (mac, linux, windows) laptop i cant comunicate to it through adb or fastboot. i get it that in windows you need to find the right drivers (which i've done) but in linux i even have installed the whole android SDK. even that didnt help. still cant talk to the tablet. USB debugging is enabled......
any ideas?
First of all you both need to find what Android versions you are on.
Look in settings - about and see what android version it is (e.g. 4.1.1)
If you are on 4.1.x then when you boot into bootloader menu you press volume down to move to the usb icon and then press volume up to access fastboot.
Drivers for fastboot are here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1426502
If you need adb and fastboot exe's then here. http://flumpster.lolcakes.com/android/ADB&Fastboot.zip
basucally flashed a rom and it went bad and my phone wont boot, i can only get it into fastboot but plugging it in and holding volume up and i have no power button, so i cant select boot into recovery, is there any way i can through the cmd?
*edit*
I figured out how to boot to recovery, download a recovery img, and in fastboot cmd you go
Fastboot flash recovery_image_name.IMG
Then
Fastboot boot recovery_image_name.IMG

Depends on which version of the official software/firmware you had installed. You might check out this:

If you were on a KK set up then that recovery won't work.

all i want to know is, when im in fastboot is there some kind of command line or any other way i can select recovery mode besides the power button? my power button is broken, and i cant turn on my phone to reboot into recovery due to me soft bricking it.

So when you turn it off, leave it set there for a bit (guess you would have to let it die at this point...), and hold Volume Up and plug in the USB cable to the PC - you don't get into Download Mode? But as far as booting to recovery without the power button and not able to boot into the OS...I can't think of a way. There are no fastboot commands to get to recovery and without it booting to anything but fastboot, there is no way to utilize adb commands either.
So I have TWRP on but it was mistakenly the T-Mobile version TWRP so the touch screen doesn't work and I can't hold down Vol Up+Home+Power to go to Odin. And if I hold Vol Dow+Home+Power and release right when it turns off, it just will boot back into recovery! Is there a way to reboot into download mode or anything on the main screen of TWRP? ADB? Anything? So now I'm in recovery and I tested Fastboot and ADB to see if anything would work. I got ADB to work, BUT here's the catch. The device is "Offline." Check image below....
I'm a bit stuck here, would appreciate some assistance.
I tried to root my device (UMI Plus) by yesterday using 'SP Flash tool' by flashing TWRP and then installing SuperSU. That went fine, but after booting my Google Play Services kept rebooting rendering the device unusable. In an attempt to fix this I tried a "Factory Reset" via the Android settings menu which I guess was a bad idea because it started auto booting into Recovery... At that point no matter what I did I ended up back in Recovery.. Reboot to system, factory data reset.. all rebooted the phone back into TWRP recovery.
So I thought I would just try putting the default recovery back on the device again but whenever I power off the device and connect it to my PC it boots into recovery.. The phone needs to be powered off for SP Flash Tools to work. Tried loading recovery image via fastboot but the volume rockers don't work in fastboot so I can't confirm the action.
After some digging I read online that holding down VolUp + Power can 'force' into preload mode, which seems to have some success. I can see the device boot into "Preloader mode" in device manager in Windows, but it loses connection after about 3 seconds. So I did that with my SP flash tool ready and it seems to have erased recovery mode. Oops! Now whenever I try to get into recovery it just says "No command". No combination of button pressing, button holding, button releasing or anything will change this (This is the only answer I could find on Google!). Neither fastboot or adb can see the device either. It shows up as "MTP USB device" in device manager in Windows...
Is it doomed? I can't figure out what to do next...
P.S. The full ROM is available here but in RAR format.. which seems strange to me...
