Hi all
Let me expose my problem :
I got an unlocking key from sony ; when I use it with
Code:
fastboot oem unlock 0xDEVICESKEY
, the boot process loops : I can see the sony logo, then the Xperia logo, then a few colorwaves, which in turn stalls for a second or two, and then the device reboots.
I tried to flash the device with kernels adapted to SGP312. Flashing succeeds if I unlocked just before (if I want to re-flash I have to re-unlock), but the device then doesn't boot at all.
I could never access recovery, but I read this thread saying that's normal with stock kernel. Though I couldn't access it having flashed any other kernel.
Thus I'm locked into android.
Can anyone help ? I discussed this with Mamenyaka, he suggested I posted my issue here. I tried to find a similar case in the forums but couldn't figure anything close to this.
I finally found a solution to my problem : I unlocked the device using flashtool-0.9.11's gui procedure, instead of flashtool's fastboot. It succeeded and I can successfully flash anything I want on the device.

Okay, so i am using a xperia z2, cant rmb the version of the firmware, but i successfully rooted my device so i went on to try and flash cm11 onto my device. However, upon flashing cm11 and gapps into my phone through dual recovery i was no longer able to boot up my phone. Holding the power switch causes the device to vibrate, like perhaps every two seconds, but does nothing meaningful. Holding the powerswitch and the volume up key boots into fast boot, which is just a blank screen, but with the blue led that i read on the internet meant fastboot. Problem is, I am unable to get windows to install the relevant drivers for S1 Fastboot as it is displayed on my device manager window, and nothing i try will help. Ive downloaded usb drivers from numerous sources, including but not limited to flashtool, and nothing can get the fastboot to be recognised by the computer. Kindly advise on what i could do to restore my phone please! any help is greatly appreciated!!!!
I live in Singapore and i understand that bootloaders are by default unlocked? I'm not sure if i have to install any form of kernel , but i have a feeling this may be the cause of the problem? Please be kind, I am new to this entire rooting business. Once again any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Folow this to unbrick your device
You need an unlocked bootloader to flash cm11, no bootloader comes unlocked
There is unlockable and non unlockable
Dear XDA Developers,
I recently purchased an xperia pro mk16i from china, through ebay.
When trying to unlock the bootloader through fastboot; it already was.
The phone came with android 2.3.4, (in dutch, my native language, which struck me as odd) I believe.
I followed a tutorial to install sailfish, and all was fine; but I skipped a step that asked for stock android ICS to make sure the partition layouts and firmware was correct.
Trying to go back to stock and flashing a ftf for my phone with flashrom is where the trouble started, I never managed to flash anything through flashrom, despite trying everything I could find. (no driver issues)
Where I am now:
-I can flash a boot.img through fastboot, and cyanogenmod just fine (everything boots) but my touchscreen won't work
-Flashrom mentions an unofficial bootloader, and gives an error relating to loader.sin when trying to flash anything.
-Trying 'repair my phone' in sony pc companion states at the last moment (when connecting phone in flashmode) that there is no software available for my phone
How can I fix my phone again?
I tried emma; which mentions my phone is locked; though the bootloader has to be unlocked for I have used a custom rom.
flashtool mentions a nonstandard loader as well.
I think I somehow have a strange nonstandard but patched bootloader.
How do I flash a stock bootloader so I can unlock it properly, and flash a stock rom/ftf?
This keeps getting worse; I can't enter fastboot anymore (and cwm too)
that happened after trying restore in s1tool.
since then, my bootloader version is in capital R, not small r, indicating it is locked.
trying the unlock method with testpoint appears to work, however after disconnecting the phone, it resets back to R4A069
trying to flash with s1tool flashes adsp.sin correctly, but gets stuck on the loader just like flashtool
FATAL ERROR [ SECURITY_CLASS: SIN_HEAD_VER, Failed_to_verify_sin_header ]
I removed loader.sin from the ftf archive and flashed it with s1tool and it worked!
I forgot about simlock.ta, so I flashed that too :/
anyways, phone boots now, touchscreen still doesn't work, I have usb debugging / can access adb now, but I still can't boot into fastboot.
Hey guys,
I am sorry if I am in the wrong place or am asking something wrong. This is my first time using these forums (and forums in general). If I need to be somewhere else kindly redirect me.
Anyway, I was with Verizon for a while but after some shady stuff I decided to break up with them. Beforehand I had bought outright a Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet. Because I did not want anything Verizon on it I decided to root it, and flash a good ROM onto it (Cyanogenmod was my idea, but at the time I don't think they supported it? I'm not good with ROMS). Anyway, the rooting was completely successful and I had a custom recovery (TWRP) installed. I was ready to flash the ROM. Unfortunately, I wasn't paying attention and grabbed the wrong ROM. What ended up happening is when I attempted to reboot after "flashing", the device didn't show anything on the screen and just kept vibrating. After some digging around I found it might be "soft-bricked". I had at one time found a guide that told me how to undo this by using SDK Tools and Fastboot Mode (blue LED), but cannot find the guide anymore.
I was wondering if ANYONE could help me undo this mistake, and get the tablet back to it's original state or with a nice compatible ROM. I am currently in Fastboot mode and it is plugged into my ASUS Laptop running Windows 7. Any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you so much for taking time to read this.
EDIT: So a breakdown is I cannot interact with the tablet directly. There is absolutely no interface. Just a screen that won't turn on. Meaning if there is a method it can't be done on the tablet. The old guide I found was explaining how to do it through Windows while the tablet was plugged into it via USB.
Also the bootloader was never unlocked so I think that was also an issue.
First of all, if your bootloader is locked, you cannot install CM because you cannot change the Kernel. You can only use Sony-certified Kernels which won't work with CM. So Sony-based ROMs are your only options
But what you can do is:
- Go into fastboot mode (turn off your tablet, connect it to your PC and press volume up. If the blue LED shows up, you are in fastboot)
- With fastboot, you should be able to flash a ROM (preferably Android 4.4, so you can root again)
- Then root, install dual recovery
- Flash the correct ZIP
Alternative:
- Unlock Bootloader
- Flash recovery
- Flash CM

Can you simplify this? Where do I find the ROM (again, this was a tablet from Verizon so I assume on top of the Sony ROM I need the Verizon version of it?) And I understand I cannot install CM unless the bootloader is unlocked; do you know how to do this?
I'm confused by the first set of instructions as I cannot use the tablet directly. How will I flash the ROM (and which is the right ROM and where can I find it?) through the computer since the tablet can't be interacted with. There is absolutely no interface to interact with whatsoever. Which ROM do I download for the Verizon Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet and how do I flash it using Fastboot? I assume I do it thru my computer?
Sorry, but you'll have to Google a little bit - I haven't had your exact problem.
But as long as you can get into fastboot mode, nothing is lost.
There also is the Sony ftf tool or so, the Windows program name is Emma. This should be easier than using fastboot.
Also there is a sony site for bootloader unlocking. You can check whether your bootloader can be unlocked at all.
Hi guys, i got the Huawei Y6 SCL-L01 phone and i wanted to install a custom rom, so i tried to install TWRP first, but since there wasn't a Y6 version (there isn't a Y6 version for anything pf ) i used the P8 version and it installed but when it rebooted the phone was stuck at a screen that say FASTBOOT & RESCUE MODE. The phone seems to be unlocked according to that screen but the FRP is loocked.
Things i've tried so far
Installed ADB latest version, extracted Recovery Cust System and Boot images from an official stock ROM.
Tried all available drivers from Google TP_Link and Intel for my phone.
The screen i am stuck does not work with ADB commands, the device is not recognized.
Fastboot commands work and it sees the device correctly, the problem is every time i try to flash the images from the stock rom i get FAILED message due to FRP Lock.
Format userdata and cache doesn't work either.
Vol + / - and Power button combinations also have no effect, it only shows that screen regardless of what i press.
I've searched the web and the XDA forums extensively since this happened and tried every possible solution i could find even if it was meant for another device.. no luck.
And here's my question, how can i possibly remove the FRP lock by only using fastboot?
Please somebody help, i am like half a day away from decorating the wall with this piece of ****
PS: I am not able to upload screenshots, sorry about that.

I'm stuck with this problem too. The exact problem. Have you found a way to fix it?
I have exactly the same problem with my Huawei Tablet.
If I boot with the original ROM and look in the "/log" - directory with adb shell, there is a cust.log. The contents say, that the specific ROM is not original or factory.
I think even the bootloader is unlocked, there is a kind of signature checking.
EDIT: @Asdforcer: Have you tried to boot the original boot.rom with "fastboot boot" - command?

Try to unlock your bootloader
ok hear me out, I'm a newbie, and I missed up, plz help
I was trying to root my device following this tutorial, I flashed twrp and vbmeta and every thing went alright without errors, I booted the phone into recovery to continue as how the tutorial said, but it gave me the orange state error and it restarted into system but now the device is factory reset, I enabled usb debugging and went on to follow this tutorial, every thing went same as before and I couldn't boot into recovery, so I decided to flash the "orange_state_disabler_MTK Only.zip" with adb and every thing went downhill from there, It won't boot to recovery, bootloader nor system, It just stays at a blank screen after the logo and the orange state message, It is recognized by adb as "recovery" and I can do adb commands but I can't boot to bootloader to flash the stock firmware, I found this thread and tried using the tool mentioned there, Faced an error, solved it and the phone still won't boot to any thing.
so, is there any way I can get out of this situation ?
TLDR / what you should know/ idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- did something wasn't supposed to do
- can't boot to recovery
- can't boot to bootloader
- device recognized by adb but can't do fastboot commands
- device is recognized by MTKAuthBypassToolV25
- can't shutdown nor restart using phone physical buttons
- don't know if the below screenshots would help with any thing, but here goes nothing
You have misunderstanding, Orange State does not cause anything. That is just notification that bootloader is unlocked, nothing more. Therefore the Orange State Disabler cannot fix anything. You don't need this at all.
But it seems it destroyed fastboot. flash lk from SP Flash Tool

please explain, I don't know what IK is, and if I could flash things with SP flash tools, wouldn't I be able to flash stock firmware?
lk - little kernel. that is the partition where fastboot lives (and was modified by Orange State Disabler).
you need partition image from stock ROM and any flash tool to restore its original state.
i can't do that because i can't boot to bootloader
you don't need bootloader, only preloader or bootrom
ok turns out ima an idiot and misunderstood the entire situation , this is my first dealing with an mtk device so i thought sp flash tool is like odin and you need to be in download mode to flash things so i panicked, and didn't read well how to use the tool.
flashed stock firmware and the phone is up and running again
thanks for your help man really appreciate it and sorry for wasting your time
