Keep phone screen off when wireless charging is done. - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

I just got rid of my s-view cover an now when my wireless charger is done my screen come on then goes to sleep then come back on when the battery drops a little then charges for a few seconds then turns off. All this time my screen turns on and off, witch is very annoying in the middle of the night. Is there a way to force the screen to stay off?

What could be done if I root?

There's options in wanam, gravity box, etc. to let you keep the screen off when plugging or unplugging the charger as well as disabling the battery full notification that turns the screen on. One of those options might work for wireless charging too.

Soft keys blinking

My softkeys start blinking at random times. Phone will not respond to any input until I cycle the screen off then back on.
It seems to happen more frequently while charging, if I unplug it, it will reset.
I am on EC01 debloated. Have tried several kernels with no change.
Thanks!

Oh yeah, its a random blink, not rhythmic, and will continue until I do one of the above actions to stop it.

They also blink once every time I touch the screen while scrolling.

Will it turn on 1st charge?

The reason I ask is I want tocharge it fully before first use and i may be gone for work when it comes in so I'm gonna have my girlfriend charge it so its ready. But i want to be there for the first boot and i know the nook color turns on as soon as you plug it in for the first time. Does anyone know?

Every android device I have turns on when plugged in, including the original Tf. Why does it matter?

My Evo 4G with stock (I think) OR CM (confirmed) also does not turn on automatically while charging.
just charging, it should only go to a charging animation of some kind if anything, it shouldn't turn on unless you turn it on, then again, i don't have the device in my hands, so it's all just speculation really..
Ik HTC phones don't turn on in any way from being plugged into a charger, just the led comes on

lol read your post wrong sorry...
my htc inspire has a charge animation but it dosen't turn on and my iconia A500 just turns on the LED light indicating that it's charging but dosen't turn on
it doesn't turn on when plugged. It only does that if that battery is depleted.

Touch Screen Calibration

Is there a way to calibrate the screen?
Sometimes mine will act possessed and have phantom touches. Alot of times I try to touch the back arrow, or the menu key and it registers the touch for one of the apps in my dock.

Is you device plugged into the charger when this happens?
On the Razr, the screen would sometimes act up when it was charging, but unplugging it solved the problem.
If it is when your charging then you have an incompatible charger
You need an 1 amp charger

no, this happens off & on without being on the charger

i have noticed this if there is a little bit of water on the screen or a moist part that it does that. the fix is to shut the screen off, dry it, and turn it back on again and you should be good
I also had problems with a 3rd party lockscreen (eg. GO Locker) causing the multitouch to be messed up, but that's probably not the problem you're having.
If your under warranty then send it in
It will only get worse

[Q] Can you leave the screen on all night?

I see there are some Night clock apps to show the time, but is the phone safe to keep displaying the time all night? Of course it would be on a charger so battery drain isn't an issue.
dja2k
No you will get screen burn in. Don't do it unless you want your screen to look like **** buddy. Not worth it

Gentle alarm. It can go super dim and can move the clock around to prevent screen burn.
We've used it for years.
