Hey!
I just wanted to confirm if it's normal or something is wrong with my device?
Last night, before sleeping my Moto E was at 99% and in these 8 hours, it's come to 90%.
Is this normal?
I had turned the sleep mode on. But my wifi was on too, for the whole time.
My nexus 7 on the other hand hardly consumed 1 or 2% battery in the whole night on standby. So, I was a bit worried.

It depends on what background apps are running. Looks a little more than normal but I won't lose sleep on that.
Background apps would be twitter, Facebook messenger, facebook, Whatsapp, and xabber.
Twitter syncs once in 2 hours. But all of them have push notifications.

Putting on the Wi-Fi for the whole night caused this darin.. And also see if your device isn't got too high brightness.. I would suggest to lower the brightness to 10 percent and turn off Wi-Fi whenever you are not using it.. Hope this helps.

Those coupled with Wi-Fi can surely eat up battery.
Also make sure your location settings are also off.

Only 3.30 hours?
I actually had 6 hours and 20 minutes yesterday but i forgot to take a screenshot before i charged the device. I will take one next time
But yeah, i am usually hitting at least 5 hours per charge.

The light normally turns green when it is around 90 - 95% charged. It is just to let you know that it is almost charged.

I am not sure.
I have brightness set to about 50 - 60%. Mixture of wifi and 3g, mostly wifi.
Gmail and auto sync on. Stamina mode ON.
I have been hitting 5 hours every time and sometimes more. I will say though, it took my battery a good 5 - 10 charges before the capacity improved a lot. To begin with, stamina mode would say around 1 day and 12 hours battery remaining. Now it says sometimes 11 days remaining. This shows me that you need to give the device a good few charges before the battery will work at its fullest capacity.

How do you do the full cycles?, do you allow the phone to turn off by itself (1% battery left) and then fully charge to 100%?

Yeah, I just let it drain until it switches off and then charge it again.
I would do this for the first week then after that, just make sure i keep the battery topped up when im near a charger.
The charging is super fast though which is 1 thing i love. After owning an HTC One which was painfully slow to charge, the Z Ultra is a revelation haha

Yeah maybe give it a little time.
I have absolutely no complaints with the battery life. A minimum of 5 hours screen on time is a lot and more than enough to make it through a full day.
I can see a lot of people who currently own a nexus 4, Galaxy S3 etc, if they decide to switch to this will be blown away by the battery life.
After 1 day of Full Usage
After 13 hours since the phone was removed from the charger I still have 1% of battery left. I was able to get 9 hours of Screen Time, pretty impressive.

That's impressive but.. there's no apps seen on the list which suggests you did nothing with it with screen on for 9hrs
I have some weird behavior with my XZU, the other day after a full charge I left it idle overnight at 100% and the next morning was still at 100%, amazing.
But there are other opportunities when the battery will go down pretty fast, today with no active apps is going down at 1% to 2% per hour, currently is at 52%. I have attached print screens from BBS, what's your opinion?
NOTE: I have Stamina Mode ON

I just took these new screen shoots of Partial and Kernel Wakelocks and now there is a process called "AudioOut_3" and the phone has been sitting idle
AudioOut is running when you're listening to music, or use apps that emits audio. Have you listened to music after plugging the phone off the charger?
*Backup* is backup, I guess? Still, 15 minutes wakelock is a lot.
Fullsync is Whatsapp that's syncing in the background.
PowerManagerService is the charging service which runs while it's charging. It should not still run after it's no longer charging. Reboot if it does.
Overall, not the worst I've seen, but those wakelocks could've been much much shorter. What does a wakelock mean? Whenever a process is waking up the phone to do a task while in deep sleep/standby. If an app uses 20 minutes to complete a task, then it'll suck the battery, and when you unlock the phone again, you'll soon notice that it's been using a lot of battery while it's been "sleeping". Most apps with background sync will do this, and if you have a bad connection at the time, it'll use even longer to update the app.

qcom_rx_wakelock - 12m 44s
No Data connection & No or Unknown Signal - 1hr 58m 7s.
Your phone lost its network signal and is trying its best to get it back thereby pushing more power to its tx/rx circuits and using more battery in the process..
Just a not so intelligent guess.. lol

Maybe this is related to the Stamina Mode, because I have it ON. The phone has been on my house all the time, with T-Mobile signal and Wifi always. I know Stamina mode will turn OFF Wifi and Data, maybe that's the reason??
Well,, I understand stamina mode turning off Data and WiFi..
But checking on the screenshot, it also said "no or unknown signal" so it means your mobile signal is lost also?

So I, like many others with the G2, have been experiencing inexplicable battery drain even after shutting down most services (i.e. Google Music, location tracking, CIQ, etc.).
I got my phone last friday and was getting absolute **** battery life until last night. For example, at 70% brightness with a lot of internet surfing, I wouild get aboiut 2.5 hours of screen time before the battery was at 10%. Just the other day, I went from 100% charge to 30% charge with only 1 h 35 min of screen time at 65% brightness. Two nights ago I lost 30% battery life over 6 hours while I slept! My typical usage of browsing the net saw the meter drop 1% for every 1-2 minutes of use at 70% brightness (wifi or 4G LTE)
I was about to return my phone for a replacement until I did more research on this android "mediaserver" and realized that it could possibly be the issue. Checking the default battery app showed that Mediaserver went from 15 to 25% of the total power used on those days. So i went into Google Settings > Google+ > Auto backup and shut that **** off
Bingo!!!!
I only lost 5% last night (9 hours) while I slept and today I have been using the phone for the past 4 hours with less than a 10% loss so far. Browsing the net gets me around 4-5 minutes for each 1% drop at 65% brightness. This is all on a stock ROM that was rooted to disable the CIQ. Nowadays my mediacenter usage is no higher than 3% on any given charge. I will post pictures of GSAM and the stock battery app over the next few days as I test it from a 100% charge.
good find, it will solve some battery drains but not all

If you bothered to read my OP then you would see what I constitute as bad battery life. Namely, the intense drain while doing nothing and the lack of screen time for such a large battery. This phone is quoted by many to get around 5-7 hours of screen time regardless of what you can throw at it. Unfortunately, there are people that are experiencing drains like mine and can only get 2-3 hours of screen on time while only doing basic tasks. Most people do not experience this but the issue is quite prevalent in several other threads here.
Mediaserver can hang inexplicably, as G+ backup can too. Brth have happened to me.
Cycling the sync auto works for fixing the drain without disabling services.
Without a sc card, and even with, I recommend leaving it on.
Lose your phone, or get it stolen like my wife a couple months ago, and you'll wish it was on.

Op I read your entire post. I stated I personally haven't seen such abysmal battery life. What phone do those with battery life that's constantly draining have.. I mean vwz att d802 or etc? Maybe we can narrow down these incidences. Over night losing 30% is a lot. I usually lose 3-4% over night. I don't turn off anything. But I do use 4.4 Google search, hangout, market, and mostly all Google apps from 4.4. Could they be using less battery or draining less??

I think there is a setting for the Auto Backup of Google+ wherein you can do the following;
Back up photos only when there is a Wi-Fi connection available.
Back up videos only when there is a Wi-Fi connection available.
and
While charging only.
With these options, I think you will not have a problem with the battery esp while sleeping...

Just to throw in some info on the battery life of the watch. Mine has never gone below 40% by end of day with normal use so don't worry about the watch dieing, if that was even a concern. Its hard for me to weigh in on phone battery life, I have the Flex and I'm getting about 2 days one charge, unless I game for hours with it. I Think its adding a few hours.
Took my watch off charge at 7:50am today its now 15:10PM and I have 65% battery still.
Using following settings :
1. Screen always on
2. Show cards even when screen dimmed
3. Alert on phone and watch
4. Brightness level - 1
Usage has been quite High because its the first day I have used it, sent about 20 Texts and done some maths with it, also it seems there are problems with the software and after awhile it seems to disconnect from my nexus 5 even if the software on my phone thinks its still paired.
As for phone battery its reporting in battery stats nothing regarding android wear, and im at 60% battery from the morning and i have hardly used my phone apart from trying to figure out why stuff is refusing to pair or even work.
I also use CM11 nightlys and the snapdragon battery app on my N5 this might have something to do with all the disconnects

I assume that, aside from bluetooth, the Watch will use up some portion of the phone's battery for location services and other partial wakelocks?

I have been using by 6p for more than 1.5 years but never had amazing standby times. The phone used to last a day with decent standby but it never went to a second day with more than 50% battery even with light usage(1.5-2 hr SOT).
I recently got a Lenovo Zuk z2 as a secondary device. It uses SD 820 + 4gb ram. The standby times are crazy. With light usage,Always enabled 4G,some hotspot use and 2-3hr SOT, it easily crosses 3 day mark. It uses similar sized battery but it only has a FHD display.
Does anyone else's 6p offer better standby times ?
My 6P generally gets good idle drain. Usually less than .5 % drain per hour. Even better with wakeblock and naptime.

What apps do you run? Any messenger type apps such as FB Messenger? My idle drain is around 1.5% per hour with Wakelock and Greenify. Would love to get it down to .5%.

My 6p had disgusting battery life but that was when the device was being used. On standby I would lose about 1% over 3 hours

Mostly Tapatalk, YouTube, Spotify, Stitcher, messages and Brave browser. Don't use any extra messenger apps.

I guess the real culprit might be the messaging apps. I prefer not to use Wakeblock/Naptime as they mess with overall performance and results in lots of missed notifications.

Yes, I agree the messaging apps are the cause of the idle drain. Can't Greenify those apps, so will just have to put up with the drain. Still can get a full day of use with the 6P so all is not lost.
