Anyone else having this problem? I can connect and troll around on wifi as usual, but besides getting the phantom access point "NVRAM WARNING: Err = 0x10", I'm having a problem similar to the one on this thread, where the MAC would start at 00:08:22: but ends with a random value.
Tried editing WIFI in \data\nvram\APCFG\APRDEB but regardless of what address I use I still end up with the same problem.

Aight man, let's see if this works. From what I heard the hex edit trick isn't permanent.

Sorry for the overdue reply, but you might want to try this trick: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/10854420-post2.html
That one pretty much saved my skin when I ended up losing my phone's IMEI (and consequently RIL functionality) upon flashing a custom ROM.

Hi everyone,
This is a simple (root) app I made to let you change your CSC on a number of firmwares across multiple Samsung devices. Simply push the button, and you will be sent to the list of CSC codes, where you can choose whatever CSC. Credits go to Perka, who thought of this and posted the method in this thread. I merely made an app to do it.
THIS WILL WIPE YOUR PHONE, LIKE PERFORMING A FACTORY RESET. MAKE BACKUPS OF WHATEVER YOU DO NOT WANT TO LOSE.
The files on your SD Card will not be touched.

This. Don't know why, but Samsung requested it be that way . Shouldn't be too much trouble, with TB and all.

Can someone on *OTA Stock* 2.04 (NOT from a flashed ZIP) please tell me your file size for BackupRestoreConfirmation.apk in /system/app? I am trying to apply parts of the new OTA released today but I'm getting mismatches on this file and the install is failing. I used MicroMod777's "stock" ROM but I'm wondering if something isn't quite right with it. I noticed in a few other ROMs based off 2.04 that the file size doesn't match.
Can this be checked from a non-rooted phone? I'd help you out, but obviously don't have access to /system.

I'm honestly not certain if /system/app is readable on our phones without root. The first thing I did was root my phone when I got it. If you can browse into there, you can likely see the file size.
There you go!

That worked. Can you get me a byte count on InputDevices.apk? That's the second one in the script that is now also failing. Looks like this "stock" 2.04 ROM isn't actually as stock as it should be. Going to have to take this up in that thread I think once you let me know the file size on this other one. Just curious whether it's one byte off, too.
Here the byte size for them.

Enable adb and dump your log to a file (you should know how to do that)
Then you could just search for wifi in the log. That's what I did.
A possible fix would be to edit your build.prop and set ro.securestorage.support to False (as opposed to true. See screenshot)

Have dumped logcat to a text file nothing seems to be wrong except that it suddenly loses the ability to see the network I guess I will have to keep trying
Also I can't find ro.securestorage.support in my build prop should it exist in every ROM? Google is not bringing up anything on it not being there.

Thanks I have added the value to build.prop with no effect seems that if the value did not exist adding it has no effect
NON-HLOS.bin is specific to Samsung devices this is a Sony thanks for the suggestions.

Some of us are interested when a new PRL comes out hoping for better reception. So we'll just keep track of them here.
I can't figure out why we've got a new set of numbers, but we do. The old/original was 55019.
The new PRL is 51101
If you want to update, it'll do it automatically eventually....
Settings>System Updates, update Profile, then update PRL
Just did mine, thanks!
