Xposed-ScreenOffAnimation
(Custom Screen On & Off Animation for all ROMs)
This module is an experiment to bring custom screen off animation to all ROMs without modifying native codes.
As of v1.2, it added screen on animation too.
Instructions
• Ensure you have a custom recovery ready to flash Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip.
(If anything goes wrong while booting, you can always flash it, reboot & disable this module)
• Install ScreenOffAnimation
• Enable ScreenOffAnimation in Xposed Installer
• Reboot
• Turn off your ROM's native screen off animation (if any)
• Turn off your ROM's native screen on animation (if any)
• Change the settings in the module to your likings!
Note: All the animations are not ported (but recreated) from ROMs because the implementation is different, so there might be slight visual differences from the original...
Video
Video is based on the pre-release version on v1.0. Improvements have been made to some animations.

Source Code

How Does It Work?
This module does the following for screen off animation:
• Before the screen off method, add our code
• Grab the screenshot
• Add a black view to the screen
• Add the screenshot we grabbed
• Animate the screenshot on the black view
• Once the screenshot is completely out of the screen, call the native code to turn off screen
This module does the following for screen on animation:
• After the screen on method, add a black screen
• Animate the black screen out
(This is simplified. You may see the actual source code to have a better understanding)

Compatibility
This should work on all ROMs on Android 4.0 to 4.4 except those mentioned below
Gingerbread Support?
I do not plan to add Gingerbread support. This module relies on native code (to screenshot the screen) which was only added in ICS & above
However, if anybody knows a simple way to screenshot the screen in Gingerbread, feel free to contact me.

Galaxy s3 i9300 4.3 mk6 stock touchwiz rom, agni kernel. This module isn't working and the last entry in the log is for hooking into the power manager sdk18. No mention of a fail or anything.
Great app
OK I think there maybe a conflict with GravityBox as I had to disable it to get your module to work. Can somebody else please confirm this.
And after the animation ends the screen flickers slightly before it turns off.
Overall it's a great first release and I can't wait to see what other modules you make.
Works on sgs4 with 4.3 only a little slow

I try to all of the instructions said but, dosn't work the preview and the animation when i turn off the screen doesn't work too,
But i love the idea of this, i hope that in a future will works
DOES NOT work on a Huawei G740 (JB 4.1.2). Tested with XPosed 2.5.1, then 2.6.1 - the latter requires disabling resource hooks on Huawei devices. Will wait (patiently) for your next version.

It seems that Android 4.1 might need additional hooks. Could you try ScreenOffAnimation_v1.0_TEST_1_250514.apk in the attachments? Also, regardless if it works or doesn't work, please upload your Xposed Installer Log.

I have tried GravityBox[KK] and there doesn't seem to be any conflicts. Could it be that screen off animation inside GravityBox is turned on?
Also I have tweaked the ending delay (which might fix the screen flicker).

Great
The ScreenOffAnimation_v1.0_TEST_1_250514.apk got rid of the flickering and its working like a charm now.
P.S I'm using a Motorola G.
i installed the new test version and now it works fine.. preview feature is working and also the animations are working when going into standby..
i have a request if you can make the animation speed 100ms instead of 200ms as fastest speed
also attached is my Xposed log as you requested
awesomeee!
but sometimes its laggy
can you enable 100ms option?
Can you PLEASE add an option for screen ON effects?
Exactly like the off effects just reversed when pressing the lock screen button when the screen is off.
Im searching for years such thing and I didn't find similar option anywhere.. Sorry for my horrible English by the way

StreakDroid 1.8.1 ( aka Bug Extermination Edition ) Release Post
Official StreakDroid Website:StreakDroid.comhttp://streakdroid.com
I HAVE REMOVED FRING SUPPORT FROM THIS BUILD FROM NOW ON, IM SICK OF WASTING 2 DAYS FIXING THE FRAMEWORKS TO ALLOW FRING TO WORK, IF YOU WANT FRING SUPPORT GO COMPLAIN TO THEM (@FRING ON TWITTER ALSO)
This Release Version incorporates changes in the INSTALLATION PROCESS, please read the options available to you and the correct method of applying them before proceeding to flash the 1.7 Zip File!
( Disclaimer : As before, this ROM is heavily updated and still being developed at a fairly rapid pace. Bugs are listed below.)
PERFMOD IS NOT enabled by default in this version, had some reports of stabily problems but their is now an installer option to reenable it if you wish, if you choose not to enable the installer will automaticly trasfer your data back to save a reset
also lots of other little tweaks been added
1.0 > INSTALLATION CHANGES :
With 1.8, several choices must be made before flashing the Zip file via StreakMod or Clockwork Recovery. These choices are made with very simple edits to a Text file ( explained in section 1.2 below )
Important Options Available ( other options are listed below in Section 1.1 ) -
A.Rebel SIM Compatibility : Users who previously downloaded the NOBB version of the file may now simply select the option by typing it into the text file before flashing the Zip. Please note that Rebel SIM users are still required to manually Fastboot flash the 2.1 8105 Baseband for compatibility.
B.Launcher Option : Users may now select their default Launcher of choice before installation. The options available are LauncherPro, ADW, Stage UI and GingerBread Launcher. GingerBread launcher is installed by default if nothing is chosen.
C.Pixel/LCD Density : Default LCD Density can be set during Installation. Values available for selection are : 120,140,180,200 and 240 DPI.
D.Other Settings : Other settings available include -
•Volume Boost
( flashes the A Modified kernel with louder volume hack ),
•Tabmail
( installs the Galaxy Tab Email Client port beta 2 instead of stock email client ),
•Teetermod
( installs Teetermod edit to get HTC Teeter working, installs the app and a modified build prop with 240dpi lcd density )
•us120/140/180/200/240 -
(installs build.prop with USA related Region Settings and an LCD Density of 120140/180/200/240)
•bios
( installs the Streak BIOS Bootanimation )
•noapps
(this will install an absolute base system with no additional apps installed and the gingerbread launcher as the default launcher)
1.1 > INSTALLATION HOW TO
A. You will need to create a text file on your Streak's MicroSD Card. The file can be created in your Text Editor of choice ( such as Notepad ).
B.This file will be called 'install.txt' - Ensure that this is the exact syntax and that the file is saved with a '.txt' suffix.
C.This file must be saved in the root of the sd card.
E.Inside this text file, you may type each option that you select on a separate line. All the options available to you are listed below. Here is an example :
Code:
adwlauncher
volboost
tabmail
bios
That is it. You can save this text file as install.txt
You will then boot into recovery ( StreakMod or Clockwork ) and begin the Zip file installation process as usual.
! The full list of Options available are as follows :
Code:
noapps - this will install an absolute base system with no additional apps installed and the gingerbread launcher as the default launcher
adwlauncher - this installs adw launcher and removes the default gingerbread launcher

You can flash it right over 1.7.0. No need to factory reset, therefore you won't lose apps or settings.

I just flashed over 1.7. Just go into clockwork or streakmod and flash the zip. I wont erase your settings or apps.

Download the new zip for 1.8.0 and save it to your SD card. Read the new install options and update your "install.txt" file if necessary. Then go into recovery, either StreakMod or Clockwork, then flash it just like how you did 1.7.0.
Dumb question but what do these exactly do? In english terms please. Will all of us need this? How will it help me?
novolnoppt - flashes a kernel without the new kgsl(3d) per page table support and normal volume levels - fixes some gameloft games
volnoppt - flashes a kernel without the new kgsl(3d) per page table support AND VOLUME BOOST - fixes some gameloft games

It's really only relevant if you play Gameloft Games on your phone. If you do, choose the 1st one if you want volboost. If you don't play Gameloft games, don't worry about it.
i cant get this too load for the life of me. I wipe everything. had the install.txt file on the root of the sd. Im now trying with out the install.txt file. I get to the lock screen and it freezes.

Hmmm. Are you doing a fresh install or are you flashing over an older version? If you're flashing over an older version, which one is it?
Im doing a fresh install coming from 318 with perf mod. Ive tryed it without the install.txt and without.
My icons are really small, Why?
1.8.0 won't boot
1.7.0==>1.8.0 Stayed at stopped boot screen (Android Scribble Red) 30 minutes. Rebooted and now it wont get more than 1/3 through the boot screen before it locks. Cleared Cache and Dalvik. Still won't go.
Heading back to a very stable 1.7.0 till tonight. Hope it will go back!
I flashed 1.8 over 1.7 no problems.

it does not seem to work in my n5 kitkat 4.4.2 with xposed 2.4.1 (should all be latest version stuff)..

Battery works for me on ICS. I guess you should take note that Kitkat uses a different method for the battery. And not all dual sim phones use the same naming convention for the signal.

Hi all! Just found a ROM for Lenovo P780 based on 4.4.2 AOSP.
It's a CHINESE VERSION, only flashable by CHINESE recoveries.
I'M NOT THE DEVELOPER OF THIS ROM, I JUST FOUND IT AND SHARED.
Thanks to the developer powar19 from 4pda.ru
It comes with root and multilingual.
It's important to have a chinese Rom on the phone with a custom recovery, S135 e.g.
Only one thing: BACKUP YOUR IMEI BEFOR FLASH, You have to restore your IMEI, but thats easy with MTKDroidTools.

Yeah, just cheked. I hope the developer will fix this.
I'm having an issue with Google PLAY, i'm not able to add my google accounts, I get always "There was a problem communicating with Google Servers" .
Anyone get this message? Any solution?
If you say to him about that problem with only russian letters, maybe he will fix that...
Update 2018: Not many people are on Z3 anymore and even less using Fragment ROM, but just a heads-up - Mediafire has begun flagging random files as viruses in attempts to get users to purchase Bitdefender from them (I'm assuming they get a commission) so I have taken the liberty of removing all my files so that Mediafire is no longer tempted to flag them up, and so that they don't get any ad revenue from potential users visiting the links. Everything needed is on AFH so this won't affect much anyway. Just an explanation for some missing links.
Fragment ROM by Dobsgw
For Locked Bootloader. UB has it's own version in download section.
Deodexed Base
Based on Latest Sony 23.5.A.1.291 Global Firmware (D6603)
Includes all latest Baseband 61, fotakernel, 28 Jun Sony Kernel
SuperSU 2.79 and TWRP 3.0.2 included with init.d support added
This is a reasonably close to Stock ROM approach with some minor changes such as XZ SystemUI and dynamic framework for improved look and performance. No soundmods, no unnecessary scripts, no bloat unless you want it.
A solid custom ROM for those who like to make their own changes.
Overtime I may add or remove features to fine tune, but anything you feel is missing can just be flashed over for your own personalization.
(The obvious disclaimer: I am not responsible for anything that goes wrong with your device if you flash this. I have taken as many steps possible to ensure top quality and am running this myself, but you have been warned!!)

IF YOU HAVE UB SEE HERE
So after reports that V4.1.5 doesn't work, that V4.1.5 did work, that V5 doesn't work and that V5 actually does work (with custom kernels I mean).....
I'm leaving both versions here for people to download. They should both work. It is down to users to get custom kernels to boot with Fragment ROM now as I can only provide the ROM as is. My argument is that if you are running an unlocked bootloader then you should be at an advanced enough level to work out what needs to be done in order to make the phone boot up with a custom kernel. You are free to edit the Fragment ROM zips to your preference and modify anything for your private use to get things working (in fact I encourage you to do this to get the most out of your device!).
So have a go and let users know in the thread what worked for you on which kernel to get it booted up.
V4.1.5 UB Download links:
Android File Host: Fragment ROM V4.1.5 For Unlocked Bootloader
MediaFire: Removed as Mediafire is flagging files as viruses to force users to purchase Bitdefender from them.
V5 Finalized-Ultra UB Download Links:
Android File Host: Fragment ROM V5 Finalized-Ultra for Unlocked Bootloader
Due to incompatibility with RecRoot (the method of achieving root and recovery on Locked Bootloader) I have had to make a separate version of Fragment for Unlock Bootloader users if you want to use custom kernels.
The only difference is the lack of recroot so be warned you need to flash / fastboot your chosen custom kernel for TWRP access (only tested 78Kernel)
Instructions:
Boot to TWRP (install this however you want if you don't already have it)
Factory Reset
Flash Fragment ROM UB Version (this still includes the stock kernel, just not root or recovery)
Flash Kernel (tested with 78Kernel)
Flash SuperSU Systemless
Flash DRM Patch
Reboot (it will probably show a black screen for a while if flashing SuperSU. Don't touch it. If it hangs there for longer than around 5 mins (was for me) then it might not be booting so have patience / try again)
ADDONS:
NAV-BAR Sizes D6603 ONLY (NOW 3 DOT LAG FIXED):
- Dynamic Nav-Bars (ie: will change to color of apps that support this feature):
Dynamic Nav-Bar 36 dpi: AFH - Dynamic 36dpi Nav-Bar

Dynamic Nav-Bar 48 dpi: AFH - Dynamic 48dpi Nav-Bar

- Dynamic Nav-Bars (ie: will change to color of apps that support this feature):
Dynamic Nav-Bar 36 dpi: Removed as Mediafire is flagging files as viruses to force users to purchase Bitdefender from them.
Dynamic Nav-Bar 42 dpi: Removed as Mediafire is flagging files as viruses to force users to purchase Bitdefender from them.
Dynamic Nav-Bar 48 dpi: Removed as Mediafire is flagging files as viruses to force users to purchase Bitdefender from them.
SystemUIs:
MediaFire: Removed as Mediafire is flagging files as viruses to force users to purchase Bitdefender from them.
Camera Apps ADDON: Removed as Mediafire is flagging files as viruses to force users to purchase Bitdefender from them.
Missing Apps ADDON #1: Removed as Mediafire is flagging files as viruses to force users to purchase Bitdefender from them.
For this I recommend downloading and using an archive tool to go through and delete all apps you don't want and then flash to get the ones you missed
Missing Apps ADDON #2 (combine with first one to get all bloat or just flash this for all apps that were in V1): Removed as Mediafire is flagging files as viruses to force users to purchase Bitdefender from them.

I just removed Chrome completely from this since you can get it from Play Store anyway. I did the same to V2 of the Deodex.
It looks like you need to go to system/vendor/app and delete the ChromeCustomizations folder. I don't know why since I deodexed it, but it causes an issue for Chrome.
I have just done this and it works fine. This will be sorted in V2
Yeah try it. If you have any issues you can clean install, but I don't see any problems from that. Remember this is heavily debloated compared to the Stock Deodex so if any apps are missing you can download the addons and edit them with an archive tool like 7zip or winrar and delete all the bloat you don't want. Then flash it and you'll have the system apps back that you are missing
Perfect, the more debloat, the better

Good to hear. Remember for V1 to delete the Chrome Customization folder in system/vendor/app or Chrome won't play nice.
Apart from that I don't think there's any bugs.
I'm already working on changing the SystemUI a little bit, but I'll see what happens. There may be an updated version of the Xperia X one coming soon...

I will look into it but no promises ;p
It seems to be an archaic and unnecessary transfer protocol. The device would be partitioned completely differently for true implementation and I think it's best left in the past...

Change theme.
There's a black theme that I use.
Try the black theme then in Blurred SystemUI set it to 100% transparency for a cool effect

You mean bright blue or dark blue?
This is mine without BlurredUI.
If it isn't the same as mine. Apply the theme and reboot/ restart systemUI.
If you wanted another colour you need to find a theme this black notification panel. I admit that it isn't actually black but that's Sony for you

Ah okay well I don't think I can add that.
It might be something you need to do yourself for your device. I don't even know if I could do it on a locked bootloader
krapster said:
Well I believe it can be done, not sure about the specifics myself but running RXSW ROM it does seem to work even under locked bootloader, great ROM regardless!

Okay well good suggestion.
It won't be a priority but if I get a chance and can manage it I can always add it later.
No time soon though. Taking it slow to make sure it's stable.
Couple things to work out already and I'm working hard on V2
Working on version 2. Won't be released until there is a significant enough change to warrant uploading a whole ROM. So could take a while.
I will make it an OTA patch though to flash over V1, but some manual work will need to be done to clean bugs.
So far...
Change Log v2:
Fixed Chrome issues by deleting chrome customization from vendor/apps (people on V1 can do this themselves. Also delete the ims folder in there)
Cleaned up the systemUI apk to add back some defaults from Xperia X
Fixed org.codeaurora.ims stopped issue on some start-ups (version 1 users delete ims folder from vendor/apps as stated)
Disabled mobile data disabled notification as it is annoying as hell
Fixed the weird sound when taking pics/ screenshot with sound on (changed the shutter sound in system back to default)

This rom is an attempt at trying to make the LG G Watch feel as close to Wear OS 3.0 as possible. You will find that font, icons and some UI elements are updated to mimic the latest Wear OS updates. At the same time I also tried to improve both the battery life and the overall response time while also adding some extra customization. If you are curious about the whole changelog just read the Changelog/Features>> section below. Let me know if you encounter any issues and have fun!

Wear OS support: 2.35.0.325323493
ROM Kernel: 3.10.X (invisiblek_v8.1)
Last Rom Update: 24/01/2023
Github Source (WIP)
Latest Updates:
Latest newdory 0.8 (24/01/2023):
• Updated build.prop (optimal af now)
• Better Phone Shortcut (source)
• Solved issues with Google Play Store
• Added another level of brightness (lowest possible)
• Updated UI to look like Wear OS 3.0 (wip)
• Updated Settings app look (Wear 3.0 style)
• Added the Location panel in Settings
• Updated fonts to Google Sans Text (Wear OS 3.0 style)
New rom link available here
Finally got around UI modding again and this time I think I went for the biggest UI changes. This update changes some UI elements to look like Wear OS 3.0, specially the drawers items. You will notice also some big changes in the Settings app since I reordered the main elements and updated most of the icons so that it looks as close to a pixel watch as possible (also added the Locations panel heh). Updated and cleaned up the build props as well (again huh) and also included a better and lighter Phone Shortcut app. Finally I updated the Google Play app to the latest possible (this was a pain in the ass and I better not explain why) and also updated the system fonts to the Google Sans Text variant (Introduced in A12~ as the default font).
Love this so far! Great idea to revive the old watch. Thanks for making it!
Thanx you bring my watch back to life !!!
ps: need to test it
edit test : what can i say .... it work very good after 4 days i am impressed very good work

Try "fastboot continue" command. Unfortunately, it is not a permament fix. It will boot into twrp again afterevery restart.

Soo I found my watch a few days ago and I thought about giving it a second life, and since there is no develoment or updates for lenok anymore I tought it might be a good idea to make my own rom with an android 8.0 style to it. I tried my best to make the system look as close to android 8 as possible while also updating some apps and improving the overall experience. You might wanna give it a try!
Flashing intructions >>
- Download the newdory.img and the boot.img available at the links below

- Now type fastboot flash boot path/to/boot/image/
- Then type fastboot flash system path/to/system/img/called/newdory.img
- Reboot your watch (with fastboot reboot for example)
- Wait patiently, once booted up leave the watch updating it's apps for a few hours, after that, enjoy your new oreo-styled watch!

Great ROM! However, I am experiencing some issues with it, one of which is probably my fault.
1. With my current setup, my watch always boots into recovery even if I select boot to the system. The only way I am able to boot it into the system is by using the "fastboot continue" command.
2. My watch has a white spot on bottom right of the screen, which I am sure is not a hardware issue as it worked fine in TWRP and when I initially boot in the system.
And, yes, I did try flashing everything again. So, if you know how I could fix this, I would highly appreciate that

Okey, well for the first issue I would recommend going inside twrp recovery > wipe > factory reset > swipe right. Then reinstall the rom again
And for the second one, it's not an issue, it's an app that comes pre-included so that you can open the apps list by pressing the white dot on the corner. You can customize it by going into apps > HomeButton > and changing transparency or position there

The white spot is intentional. In WearOS 2.0, you can only access some features with a hardware button. Because the G Watch does not have a physical side button, this white spot serves as that. It is a virtual button that emulates the button on the later-released G Watch R.
I also have the same issue with the "fastboot continue" command. However, I only started to experience this when I unpaired the watch and it tried to do a factory reset. Maybe the boot flags were messed up, but I have no idea. I'll try the fastboot continue command and see if I can get it to work. I haven't tried that since when I started having the issue, I just left my watch be.
EDIT: I didn't see OP's response when writing this. Basically this can be ignored
