Hi Everyone,
Would anyone here know if it's possible to use the Live Dmesg Boot Animation from Chainfire on the Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro? I have downloaded and it claims that it was successfully installed without any errors. However, the actual boot animation on my device has not changed at all. If anyone might have any ideas what might be wrong, I'd like to know.
Thanks!
Tim

Yes, certainly I'm rooted. No troubles at all changing to other boot animations I have tried. Just frustrated by this one. Especially when I'm getting a message that it was installed correctly and then proceeds to do absolutely nothing as if it's not installed at all.

Hi guys,
I have a samsung galaxy gio gt-s5660 and I tried to change the boot animation to that of the galaxy s, but now I end up with a green blurred animation with blue movement every time I boot the device.
The sound is successfully changed.
When I delete samsung boot.qmg there is no boot screen at all.
Can somebody help me with this?
Thank you

hehe cuz you answered your own question.
Hello guys,
I have been two hours long now searching for how to change S III splash screen. I found solutions for other variants, but all say "not working on i9300".
Besides, I downloaded ROM Toolbox and it does not support S III for splash. Besides, I searched and read all relevant threads on XDA and other websites with almost all telling about changing boot animation instead of the splash. AIO Patcher did not work as well.
I have no idea on how to modify the kernel. I am running now CM 10.2 ROM.
Any idea?
Help is appreciated.

Hello guys, I actually have a Samsung galaxy s3 i9300, I finally installed after having some technical problems the AOKP rom, but here is my strange problem : my phone isn't rooted anymore ! I don't think that many people already had this curious problem so, anyone knows how it actually can be ?
Thanks a lot

Try to flash supersu v2.46.
Here http://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU
Guys,
I purchases a 'damaged' s2 for a few bucks. When it starts, it only shows the galaxy s gt-19000 samsung screen. So i think there is no rom available.
Can i update a new rom through Odin3? If so, which rom should i use and how should i configure Odin3?
thanks for the help.

Hi,
Yes you can flash stock ROM via Odin. If you can boot into the OS after flashing, then you should be able to root your phone then flash custom ROMs via recovery.
gsstudios
Are you sure it's an S2? The gt-i9000 you mention would indicate that it isn't.....
(It *should* say gt-i9100)
If you're *positive* it's an S2 and you are *definitely* seeing gt-i9000 on startup, then somebody has flashed it incorrectly with a Galaxy S(1) rom/firmware.
Not sure if that's going to affect the recovery of the device (partition layout likely to be different).

many thanks for thh reply, i am not positive its a s2, bought it as a s2 though. They both look the same for me. The only galaxy i had was a S3
i do know that , at boot, it tells it is a gt-I9000
What does the sticker under the battery say it is?

It also shows gt i9000

Then it would appear that you have the Galaxy S(1) and not the Galaxy S2.

for all the guides you need to modify your device.....
But as @gsstudios says, first you need to flash your device with an official firmware.....no use trying to root if your device don't boot.....

perfect, thanks
Hi there,
I really hope you can help me.
Once I had Lineage on my Galaxy S4 mini duos. I don't know what exactly happened but it doesn't work anymore.
I can access Download mode but thats all.
When i try to boot normally, Lineage is stuck in a bootloop.
When I try to boot into recovery, it is stuck at the Teamwin icon.
I already tried to flash other recoverys, other custom roms etc. but it doesn't change anything. I installed Samsung drivers on my PC and I can take out the phones battery and insert a SDcard (if that helps).
I don't know what to do because I'm not so into this topic.
I made pictures but cant link them in here. I uploaded them on imgbb, so if you need them just ask.
Appreciate it a lot if anyone can help me.
Best regards

I don't have this variant but, I believe that the following, device specific, thread has a resolution outlined by a member with the same issue as you do.

Good Luck!
