For what? L3, L5 or L7...
Can i flash on my l7?
Thanks!
Hey! that good this return.
I was able to find these errors:
The option to center the clock within the branch system settings does not work
The Sheer option of the status bar does not work
The style option does not work with battery or with circle circle with percentage only works with percentage.
The option to show status bar at the bottom does not work.
The option to display navigation bar does not work.
Apollo gives enough problems as cuts to the music as well as delays for several seconds.
For the rest it seems to me quite smooth and good rom.

Did you ask permission from @linuxxxx to use the kernel????
If not then you are in trouble.
Amazing work. Looking at the screenshots, this seems like a nice, clean CM9 with some rather pleasant UI modifications. I yet have to flash this and give it a try, so for the time being, you have my praise, and I hope you continue to actively develop this rom.
Now, for the Cyanoid Kernel. @theowner997, I believe that his part is done just by actively mentioning linuxxxx and his kernel 2 or 3 times in the post. He has given proper credits to it, and even linked fully, and since linuxxxx made an awesome job on his kernel, it shouldn't be reserved just for his Cyanoid ROM. To clear things up, if OP used the kernel without mentioning linuxxxx and his work, I would find that rather rude and shi*ty of him. This way, everyone gets credited for their work and the community stays alive with another ROM that has the potential to be on top together with Cyanoid, especially by having Cyanoid's guts. It's not about having one ROM, it's about having variety, and actively showing that the LG Optimus L3 is indeed a device with undiscovered potential. Thanks to linuxxxx and Assuense for their part in keeping this phone away from trash cans.

Thanks for reporting. Soon I will fix the errors and launch an update.
as @linuxxx said: cyanoid kernel only compatible with cyanoid rom. with other roms will get tons of bugs

You should read the XDA rules first, you are not allowed to use someone's work without taking permission, even if he put his name in the credits.
---------- Post added at 03:34 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:27 PM ----------
12. Using the work of others.
If you are developing something that is based on the work of another Member, you MUST first seek their permission and you must give credit to the member whose work you used. If a dispute occurs about who developed / created a piece of work, first try to settle the matter by private message and NOT in open forum. If this fails, you may then contact a Moderator and provide clear evidence that the work was created by you.
Convincing evidence will result in the copied work being removed. If there is no clear evidence that it was you who created the work, then in the spirit of sharing, all work will remain posted on the forums.
As an addition, developers have the right to hold exclusivity over their work for as long as it is deemed necessary by that developer. However, if the work is claimed as exclusive, it must remain as such. No selective sharing will be allowed (ie, allowing certain people to use it and not others). Should the developer decide to start sharing the work with others, the work automatically becomes fair game for all to use, albeit with the relative credit displayed.
In regard to permissions, the same rules apply for this but if permission was already given and unless there is a very valid reason, it cannot be revoked (same applies to major updates on the work). Under that same premise, permissions cannot be denied unless the work is exclusive or under extreme circumstances.
In plain English: If you want to keep your work exclusive, go for it. However, if you are going to share your work, do it fairly.
These rules apply to all software posted on XDA (including but not limited to ROMs, RUUs, apps, games, kernels, themes, icons, etc) unless that software comes with a license that waives these rules.

OK mr I know everything about my kernel and how I have to use it.
1- Kernel is under GPL v2, because of the Linux kernel license.
2- Open source DOES NOT mean no respect.
3- Yes it's true that he mentioned me but, give a look at the cyanoid kernel thread... Maybe someone didn't read well. Cyanoid kernel is for Cyanoid rom ONLY. I'm porting it for other Roms too, for other people, OK?
So, if you want to use Cyanoid kernel with your rom you can, but you have to ask at least permissions.
Shut up with this useless argument. I already spoke with assuence about this and I'll do the same with everyone that enjoy the art of copy-paste-steal
If you disagree I can tell you that you're breaking the #12 xda rule

I'll remove the old ROM of the air now and upload a new ROM with the kernel Gellmar.
EDIT:Uploaded non-SDMerge version
Updates will be released soon.
Assuense,
First and foremost, thanks for developing a ROM for teh tiny L3 .
I have 2 burning questions:
- Do you use your L3 daily?
- Is the "phone" part of the L3 important to you?
I've tried a bunch of ROMs. Some are slim, some have dancing unicorns and flashy doodads all over the place. I need the phone/calling/answering parts of the ROM to be stable and working. I need the SMS, GPS/Location & WiFi parts to be working too. I don't care about gaming or trying to watch HD movies on a small piece of plastic. Is there a known bug list of your ROM handy?
Nothing like answering your own questions

The phone, SMS, GPS/location seem to be working out of the box. It's been less than 24h testing this for daily use so I'll come back with an update soon.
A few UI glitches I noticed are present in most CM9-based ROMs:

hecaex/assuense,
Is there an update for the UI glitches (white text on white background) planned? Is this ROM still under development?
Been using it daily for more than a month now.
Where should I submit last_ksmg for you guys?

ParanoidAndroid 3.60for the Nook Color is now available!
ParanoidAndroid 3.15 is a AOSP based rom that allows users to enjoy tablet or phone UI, or hybrid.
Most apps have several different UI's for various layouts, choose which interface you prefer.
Paranoid Android sources are out and building a ROM has never been easier. See the third post for instructions!
AOSPA Features include
Control the UI of individual apps as well as your entire tablet
Small. mid and large tabletUI layout.
Customization of toolbars, lockscreen and more/
Netflix. Update: Now working with latest apk from Play Store, but you need this hack.
Color-splash for nav-bar and apps
Expanded Desktop w/ PIE controls
I especially would like you to take a second and appreciate the Cyanogen team, especially our home team of fat-tire, nemith, keyodi, eyeballer, krylon360 and steven676.
I would recommend you never pass up an opportunity to thank those guys for their efforts
.
From one of the PA creators, molesarecoming...
To be honest, this is not tablet mode at all, it has nothing to do with silly build.prop hacks.
This is the first and only Android rom to feature true Hybrid mode.
This rom lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even systemcomponents individually.
Remember, android is modular, everything is an app: Lockscreen, navigationbar, dialogs, popups, keyboards, widgets, and your regular apps of course.
Apps have the capability to switch into various designs or layouts according to the device they run on.
This can result in a complete new experience as many apps will transform to the better.
Now for every element that you like chose a mode (PhoneUI, Phablet/Nexus-7UI, TabletUI) and/or a size.
You are 100% independent of the system DPI which runs nicely in whatever value it has been assigned to.
You do not need to boot your phone into a certain DPI. Neither will most of the changes you apply require a reboot.
You will not suffer from the myriads of troubles which normally haunt you under build.prop tablet mode.
Your market, phone, etc. will all work, apps won't shrink on you unless you shrink them yourself.
This project will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the feel of your phone.

Here are some screenshots of the ROM for the Nook Color
In the settings, you will see a new pane for Hybrid Settings.
Here you can adjust the default GUI and DPI for all system or user apps, or even each app individually. There is a picture walk-through at the top of the third post.
Download
Updates will also be available through Goo Manager via browse compatible roms -> mateor -> paranoidAndroid
No special GAPPS necessary; just use the latest you can find!
If you are going to run this from an sdcard, see Leapinlar's sdcard-install guide
New! Download Page
PA is using NookieDev's 3.x kernel and device tree, among other projects.
3.15 Issue List
When in extended desktop or 0% navbar, touch events where the nav bar was are touchy, at best. This will continue to be worked on. (Here was one attempt)
You can only reboot into recovery through Cyanoboot!
Boot animation is in landscape
You will have to reflash GAPPS each update (known upstream issue)
Governor/Scheduler selection in Settings does not stick (Works in 3rd party apps like TricksterMod)
Some ALSA -related noise in logcat I plan on investigating.
You tell me!
Contributions to any aspect of the project are welcome, see the involved projects here.
Thanks are due to:
molesarecoming, aaronpoweruser, D4rKn3sSys and the ParanoidAndroid Team
The CM Team, including our own fattire, keyodi, dalingrin, eyeballer, Krylon360, sluo (yeah, that's right, we thanked ourselves. What about it?)
steven676 deserves a special mention for maintaining our device and kernel. This update in particular owes him a large debt.
kevank, snipa, and the rest of TeamWin for hosting and general good will (yeah, twice) (Wanna make something of it?)
tonyp for general PA expertise
inportb for GP.
RedneckReg for the replacement device and Leapinlar for all he does for the Nook community.

Great work by mateorod on this!
Building from source is a ton better than the older builds where we had to patch frameworks from other devices.
Please post any feedback and/or preferred settings that you find or use for certain apps so we can improve the default experience.
Here is a walk-through of how to interact with Paranoid Settings (found in the device settings menu)

Easiest build instructions on XDA!
These instructions are for 64 bit Linux environments, try VirtualBox if you don't use Linux normally.
Take 15 minutes and follow the beginning of this guide. if you don't have ADB set-up, it will take longer, but that is just for downloading the SDK.
If you need help installing the JDK (the hardest part, honest) do this (this is the absolute easiest way)
Code:
cd ~/
wget https://github.com/flexiondotorg/oab-java6/raw/0.2.7/oab-java.sh -O oab-java.sh
chmod +x oab-java.sh
sudo ./oab-java.sh
sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jdk
When it gets to the step to intialize the repo (repo init -u ETC.) STOP, and come back here, You are done with that guide, forever. Those steps only need to be done once.
Enter:
Code:
[FONT="Courier New"]repo init -u git://github.com/mateor/android.git -b pa-4.2[/FONT]
[FONT="Courier New"]repo sync[/FONT]
If you experience fetch errors during the repo sync, change the command to repo sync -j4 -f. If they still occur, then repo sync -j1 -f.
This will take a long time, do it before bed, or family time, or go eat.
When the sync is done
Code:
. build/envsetup.sh
lunch pa_encore-userdebug
make bacon
You're done! I used to have a build script here, but that is not currently working, ParanoidAndroid preferences FCs with the build script.
When it is done compiling, your ROM will be waiting for you at ~/android/system/pa/out/target/product/encore.
Fat-tire says this makes you an Android ninja, so you know it must be true. That means that if you don't try, you are admitting you don't want to be a ninja. Which reveals you to be the geek you already are but with loser rubbed all over you. Why else are you on XDA if not to learn?
I have used Paranoid on my GNex. It is a great ROM! I was hoping someone might port it to the Nook Color.
If you need any testing or help I would be willing.
:good:
I am going to for sure try this later today after I am done taking the kids to their stuff!
Just picked an extra sdcard to try this on. Cant wait.

Yeah, that seems to be about the size of it. I used non-opengl, which I suppose I will add to the OP. But it will have whatever limitations CM9 has, in the best case.
Maybe I should give it a try lol.
Eyeballer let me try an early version of this rom on a verygreen SD install. It works great on the SD. There are a couple of precautions I would point out.
If you set your systemui to phone mode, it will not by default show the soft navigation keys. There is a setting in settings that let you turn those on. It is off by default.
Second, the settings for the paranoid setup is stored in a file called pad.prop in /system. With the SD install, that file gets overwritten on installing an updated rom. I recommend that SD install users back up that file before updating the paranoidandroid rom. For SD installs just rename to .bak and after flashing, delete the new one and remove the .bak on the original. Eyeballer said he would try to fix that issue for emmc installs in the next version, but that will not help SD install users.
With this rom you can set YouTube to display in phone GUI and all HD videos will play in HQ. You can also set it for standard tablet dpi and the videos look great. In the tablet GUI of YouTube, HD videos try to play in HD and fail. And the only other choice is standard, which look horrible.
YES! This just made my day. Trying it now...

Oh, I like this ROM! In particular I like the ability to set each app to it's own settings. Some apps work good in tablet ui even if systemui is in phone ui. And vice-versa. This is a winner.

I was specifically thinking of you when I was working on it, and all the hoops you had to jump through to be able to choose your own GUI.
Let me know what you think after you've played with it a while.
And thanks, computerist, for your in-depth feedback. We will definitely see what we can do.
thanks for this.. will be flashing it soon once i get some time off from work!
This for me is the best of both worlds. One of the reasons that I wanted to change dpi way back was because of the tiny fonts on the tablet GUI at 160 dpi. And changing that put you in phone GUI. Now you can set your dpi to whatever you want and choose the GUI you want. Not only that but you can change an individual app to behave like you want with a custom dpi that makes the fonts for that app just the size you want them. You can customize your entire system.
I'm never going back to ordinary cm9 again. So I encourage you guys to keep up the good work. I think everyone will love it once they understand what it can do.

I tried a version of this ROM on my phone a while ago and although i don't use it on my phone anymore i remember thinking it would be perfect for the nook. I will definitely try this out when I get a chance. Thanks to the developers for their hard work and time on this ROM.

Just some clarifications
Hi guys. First of all I want to say kudos on a job well done to the team that came up with this.
I am very new to the rooting and Android scene in general. But I have rooted/nooted my Nook Color with Cyanogen Mod 7. What I'd like to know is what do I need to do to go from CM7 to having ParanoidAndroid on my Nook and what will I not be able to do that I can do on CM7? (Which is Gingerbread?). I apologize if answers to thse questions are already available. Thanks again!

The normal steps for flashing any ROM. Assuming you have it all installed on emmc:
-Download ROM and appropriate Gapps and place on SD card
-Boot into Clockwork Recovery
-Create a backup of current setup
-Wipe current setup
-Flash new ROM/install from SD
-Flash Gapps
If you run on SD I couldn't tell you as I haven't done that in ages, but I don't think the setup process for SD varies much from ROM to ROM.
It is working well
Thanks to the devs for all the hard work. I installed this yesterday and I couldn't be more pleased. It allowed me to fix a few things that bothered me with CM9. Now it works like I want.
Thanks.

im not a carbon user, but good luck with this dude
don't forget to add in MHL to the not working list (HDMI to tv)
Good work! rom diserves someone with time and skills!

I got the Carbon 4.2.2 too, and I wanted at all costs this port on enrc2b too, 'cause on HOS ville got a very good feel (smooth, fast and a large amount of free memory). Than to Carbon 4.2.2, this one is really better.
Consider that "soul" of this build is the official @Lloir's project CM 10.2.

HTC Zoe. I'm afraid that was rom sense frameworks related. Like HTC Camera.
Sorry but I can't see very well the shot, but you can change icon battery style in Carbon fibers --> status bar --> Battery bar and icon --> battery icon style (Circle w/ percent ?).

Playstore > Contact Picture Sync. Download app and run.
Assuming of course that you have enabled sync in settings of rom and in contacts first and that didn't work.
As for coloured wifi signal I'm pretty sure there was an option in carbon settings for that. Don't have it installed at the moment to give you the exact path though
hey
so i couldnt fix the cantact sync "bug" yet. sync is on, but facebook doesnt ask me(as usual) if i want to sync my contacts and the Contact Picture Sync app, works, but just for maybe 5 out of 50 persons =(
every contact is an google contact, i think the contact app trying to sync them from google, nut then im confused why some are able to get the infos from facebook.
strange...
but there is an other problem:
on every call, the person i called gets some kind of echoe (he hears his voice double). when i lower my speaker volume, it is better, but still hearable.
and nearly 30 times a day i get "kicked" out from the network. not just that the phone is loosing the connection, i have to type in the SIM pin every damn time.

//edit: can some explain me the GooManager(are there updates?where to find?are there notification for update?) and this nightly thing? thanks very very much

Hi, concerning synchronization goto settings --> account --->f acebook (for ex.), and you'll see, under "contacts/people" --> synchronization not active. Tap to enable.
Concerning miss data connect, I experienced same issue until my kernel wasn't flashed a couple of time, like in OP post #1 instructions: «Before enter recovery for flash rom, and immediately after, out recovery. Obviously in bootloader».
I can assure you that I see places that before won't connect in "3G" and now instead works great.
Note. If u flash kernel, better will be to flash again the rom (do a nandroid backup first). Good luck. :good:
hey, ill have a look, thans very much.

Ah ah ah! Sorry... in the meanwhile I was laughing... Lloir was much serious than me... in effect this kernel is the best you can desire.
i fell like the dumbest person around.
to get things straight, i did it that way
1) Reboot in bootlader. Flash boot.img included in rom zip (fastboot flash boot boot.img);
2) Enter into your Recovery, perform a full wipe (Cache+Dalvik+Data+System).
3) Install rom zip and gapps, wipe caches;
4) Back to bootlader. Flash boot.img
same from the zip again?!?!

Same, always «boot.img» in rom zip. The only important is that all works fine.

CarbonRom KitKat for Nexus One!
Fits on 220mb HBOOT!
7/15 Update:
4.9 toolchain
Heads Up notifications (as opposed to Hover)
updates to random other stuff as well
From Carbon themselves:
CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project.
We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev GitHub.
We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, AOKP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn’t been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please – let us know.
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! If you have questions, ask your fellow users or ask us in #teamcarbon on freenode IRC.
Features
https://carbonrom.org/features/ (Pretty much everything.)
Nexus One specific:
Trackball wake toggle (Settings -> CarbonFibers -> Buttons)
Download here.
Read instructions before installing.
Installation:
If you don't know what hboot is, please read this first: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1270589
HBOOT /system size 220
I recommend cache at 10mb
Wipe data.
This must be done before flashing zips if you want Mounts2SD to work properly, as Mounts2SD's zip writes to /data.
Install ROM.
(Optional but highly recommended) Install ext script such as Mounts2SD download here - same zip as my CM11)
You will need an ext partition on your SD card.
You can customize the settings after installation with the Mounts2SD app. You may want to move application libraries, for example.
TWRP also seems to not like Mounts2SD. CWM and 4EXT seem to work fine for me.
Known Bugs:
Don't even try screen recording
Evervolv base
HWA video recording/playback not working
no MMS
wifi tethering not happy - only works on no password
Keyboard
If system language is set away from English because of SIM card, keyboard will crash. Set up phone in English.
I myself am having some trouble downloading large applications, not sure where this problem is from
Big thanks to:
Evervolv - device/kernel/other repos. They're the guys that keep the old Nexus One going 4 years after it came out.
CarbonRom and all those who maintain the sources they use (Slim, PA, AOKP)
WoH, csytracy who helped me earlier on
dk_zero-cool, for mounts2sd.
spezi77, for maintaining some handy sources with qsd8k mods
Some of my sources are available on github: https://github.com/parkedraccoon/android_device_htc_passion/tree/kitkat-carbon, https://github.com/parkedraccoon/android_packages_apps_CarbonFibers
Carbon is just about as slim as CM, but does not include a music app. That's how I left the boot animation and some audio files in there.
Old downloads:
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B6H3m9ss3c8scnRKMGRPLS1QaW8&usp=sharing
Old Mounts2SD:
Some have reported problems with the current Mounts2SD script. Attached to this post is an old installer I used to use back in the 4.1 days that seems to work on sd cards that the new Mounts2SD does not. It is an Aroma installer - I recommend default settings except check dalvik along with apps.
Why is this not the main zip? Because it takes more effort and the current Mounts2SD script seems to work fine for most.
Looking for ART? I have not been able to make ART boot on Carbon, even when using the exact same method as with CM. I may continue playing around but I doubt I'll find anything.
Thanks, I try it now!

It's beautiful.
The Carbon ROM is the ROM that has more style, so far, to Nexus One But most important is fluency. So I want to ask:
Is it as smooth as CM 11?
Anyone who can answer estrablecer diferecencias Thanks beforehand.

In test carbon for hour and I thing cm more stable cuz wifi region my phone freeze and become unstable
New update posted! Lots of new things. I love removing things from the Known Bugs list!
ROM itself:
Gesture typing fixed!
The ROM is not so tightly bound to 220MB, so it will take less time to install. Recommended hboot size is still 220.
Default ringtone not existing fixed. (This fixes the 'soft,' actually completely silent, notification sound, at least in some cases.)
I have fixed the error in CarbonFibers on Notifications menu where it crashes.
I may push my fix upstream to Carbon but for devices that do not require slimming, it is not needed.
Carbon:
Force high gfx mode (transparent status bar/navbar) is now officially part of Carbon. Performance -> Force high-end graphics. Surprisingly enough our very own drewis/texasice's commit is used!
Slim's PIE added
Lots of small tweaks, etc.
Check first post for update link.
Cool
Thanks for the new arrangements, and say why do not you fix some.

I'm source building for the entire Moto device tree, each source build takes about 3-4 hours, so I have roughly 40ish hours of source building for 12 devices to do before this is completed.
Honestly though since this thread got a reply first I'll play favorites and finish this before everything else

My MIUI releases are international and include every avail language, in 2-3 hours I should be done with MIUI for this device.
I just finished my 'code test' for XT926, and have begun building for this device.**edit: As soon as building for already supported phones are done this is next
To be clear I don't care who is releasing MIUI for this phone, I'm doing this for 'completion' purposes and not to be in competition, It's my goal to fork MIUI to every device I can in bulk atm; I'm fine with people using the CM base I'm building for their own MIUI projects on this device as well, It's not about money or territory just fun
Um, this may be a little off topic but since the other MIUI thread is closed, I dunno where else to ask. I am trying to install the official santajin port of 4.2.7. So I am on clean 4.1.2 en.eu OTA. I factory reset erasing my internal storage. On the 2nd boot, after the android guy, I go into SS. I made a 1G/4G/1G slot 1 in SS, the maximum size. I installed MIUI 4.2.7. I clean cache/davlik. I reboot into system without installing gapps yet. That seems to be as clean as an install as I can think of. After going through the setup phase, I have about 70M/1G free and it goes down fast without doing anything. It's so slow it's basically unusable. I reboot again, same thing. Is this normal? This seems like I shouldn't even think of opening the default MIUI apps, forget installing my own stuff... I tried miuiandroid's version of 4.2.7 and it was the same. Oh BTW my device was asiaretail. What am I doing wrong here? This can't be what everyone is using...
Is this ROM cm based smali ported? Or offical 4.1 based?

I've already build CM10.1 for this device with source edits to accommodate MIUI's gfx and using that source base patched MIUI to it.
I can update this as MiCode updates their builds internally; as of right now the only thing standing in my way is your phones kernel, which is a little different than what I have experience with.
Even if I don't finish MIUI for this phone which may happen depending on how things play out with the kernel, I'll have still finished a suitable CM10.1 base for it that anyone can consider using for MIUI, Lewa, Color OS which would normally have severe GFX issues otherwise.
The XT925, XT926, XT907, XT897, XT897c, MB886, AtrixHD didn't have functional MIUI for a while even though the thread existed on XDA, It's a development site and since I've started this project I'm starting a thread for it, now I can push weekly updates to those devices on a solid CM base.
Truth be told I didn't like some of the posters who frequented one of my device forums and so I ignored the phone completely for uh.. a really long time.
I'm really not above being a dickhead too. Especially when you consider I'm just some guy not someone making a living off of this.
There you go dummy, I included a 'best of' because I know your attention span is real short
Edit: Project update for everyone else, everything beside the kernel is done. If I have to use your stock kernel I'll have to employ other options.
My friend kernel has always been a problem for us. For example we have only kexec kernel option and that didn't allow us to use our full hd camera till 4.4.2. With that I mean it would be maybe easier for u to build the miui with 4.4.2 which has a good functioning kernel with full hd video. But I dunno if it's possible. Just saying

No problem! I'm glad to contribute.
There are some issues of course like camera not working and microphone but on the majority of it works well.
Please do check if Google Play downloads apps properly!
Thanks!
Great Progress
Shaheer, your teamwork with Valera1978 have brought a fantastic improvement to this ROM in just a few days.
Most things are currently working:
- Bluetooth
- External SD Access (use SD KitKat Fixer for initiatial run)
- Root
- Google Play (Market)
- Stereo Sound
- Sync
- WiFi (though you need to manually login after reboot, R4 fix is not working)
- Cromecast (full screen transfer with #MirrorEnabler hack)
- init.d support (need installation)
- Text-to-speech
- Downloads
- Recent apps button (in navigation panel)
currently not working:
- PC mount (I tried everything I could think of - no go)
- Camera (causes system to crash - don't use)
- Screenshots
- Torch (Flashlight)
- GPS lock (can't get GPS lock, though works over WiFi, and I can't tell about voice guidance in Google Maps)
- Microphone (recording apps crash)
- Xposed Installer (att. causes black screen and will eventually crash, but you can still get it to work by insisting, I'm currently running about 15 MOD's - but it's a real hazzle at every new flash)
If there is a way to get the PC-mount to work, it would significantly help as the T900 is incredibly slow to wipe and format. To go from cm11 to stock and back to cm11 is a 45 min process, and this just to download and re-flash an update...But, you could of course use Google Drive or DropBox.
However, as I earlier stated, I'm really impressed of what it already can do, notably as this was done w/o access to a T900. Thanks a lot for all your efforts.

WOW! Thanks for the great list of things working & not working! :highfive:
About the Wifi not remembering password upon reboot, i've never had that on the CM for my Tab Pro 10.1. Will look into it! :good:
Thank You!
You're welcome. I've added a few more items to the list
The cm11 ROM is very light weight, just about an eight (1/8) of the stock touchwiz ROM, 226M to download and another 25M for a mini GApps. Boot time seens to be 3- 4x faster, and this feeling continues while running the ROM, everything mounts so much faster. Overall it's very smooth and responsive.
As soon as the PC mount is fixed, this will be a breeze, but it's already indespensible. Besides, I can always use DropBox, or Google Drive for file transfers.
Update coming in a bit. It will fix chromecast mirroring, recent menu, small things. :victory:
Uploading R4 right now!
Change-log in the meantime: (Remember little things )
Added Chromecast Screen mirror app built in thank to @r3pwn
Fixed Wifi losing password issues (Please test it out it should fix it but i'm not 100% sure)
Fixed Recent Apps Button
Please check if init.d support is working out of the box.

Yeah, CM does seem faster than touchwiz doesn't it. Not always the case though, I tend to like touchwiz better but sometimes it gets on my nerves too.
R4 is literally almost done uploading in 10 seconds then i'll add the link to the OP. :highfive:
If I could just get camera and PC Mount working
Alright, R4 is uploaded and link is posted in the OP. Enjoy!
PS: Please read the changlog in the OP and please check if Wi-Fi remembers password after rebooting
1st try with R4 was not successfull

In R4, the WiFi connection is actually slightly worse than it was. At times it states disabled and you need to turn off Wifi and turn it on again and, bien entendu, manually enter your credentials again. Additionally, you still lose connection on almost every reboot. The same issue exist with the T-520 ROM, see posts #; 42, 43 and 112 in the T-520 forum.
However, the built in init.d support, SD Fix as well as the recent apps button all work well.
Additionally, I can confirm that there is no GPS lock.
I also installed Jeeko's MOD PurePerformances X and I'm at least under the impression that it runs even smoother now...
Anther alternative would be to try PMB Nitro X, but there was no uninstaller, or JustArchi's ArchiDroid Optimizations, but I couldn't figure out how to deploy it at 5am...
I also opted to install ViPER4Android Audio Effects in order to improve the sound in comparison with the built in DSP Manager.
When I get time, I will suggest a comprehensible list of tweaks, MOD's and tools, that will improve your performance, or make it a more enjoyable working environment. But, for the moment I need to concentrate on my upcoming final exam (9/27), and on getting a job thereafter. Once screenshots are working it will make more sense.

What's different between the camera used in the T525 and T520?
Wouldn't it be possible to port over crpalmer's "SM-T525 cm11.0 LTE" - (picassolte) camera to the T520, and maybe also some of the other broken parts?
Are there more things than the LTE capability that are different?
If the port from T525 to T520 works, it might also be possible to use in the T900...
Have you had any contact with crpalmer?
It seems like he has ordered a T520, and was interested in working on an Exynos based device.

I just ordered one. Seems like as good a time as any to see what it's like to work on an Exynos based device.

Wouldn't it be nice to get a AOSP kernel to go with this ROM?
LibiSC's LibidinosoSC kernel for touchwiz T520 was a first break-though.
I hope that now when we have close to complete AOSP ROM's for the Exynos based devices. It would be nice to take a next step with one for cm11. Maybe, a fully working kernel could even solve some of the outstanding issues with the T520 and the T900 versions, it seems like LibiSC got some of this done with his kernel.
You never get too old for dreaming...or playing...
GPS fix from T-520 not working

GPS fix. Should work GPS and GLONASS.
Relpace all files from attach to CM11_SMT520PortR4.zip and flash it.
Or you can manually copy\replace it using es explorer or root explorer.
But in this case please check rights:
gpsd: -rwxr-xr-x
gps.default.so: -rw-r-r-

I ported the GPS fix to the T-900 ROM, but it did not work. I spent about 3/4 of an hour under open sky. I re-placed the files according to instructions, as;
system/bin/gpsd rwxr-xr-x
system/etc/gps.xml rw-r--r--
system/etc/gps.conf rw-r--r--
system/lib/hw/gps.default.so rw-r--r--
Unfortunately, I had no GPS lock, what-so-ever. I also tried applying the various "gps.conf" found in the "perfect solution" threads at XDA, but non of them succeeded in getting a lock, using GPS Status Pro
I'm sorry, but at least I tried my best...

Apparently it wasn't as easy as I thought, crpalmer explained that the cores are completely different between the T-525 and the T-520, one is qualcom, while the other is Exynos based. Apparently they are not at all compatible. Well, back to the drawing board...

I didn't get to it lastnight, but this is on my list for this weekend, without a doubt. Heading to a wedding/reception shortly that will last (hopefully) well into the night!
I was researching the best way to root the tablet. Seems there is still no way to root w/o tripping the KNOX flag, correct?
If not, I assume the steps at this the following thread are all that's needed?

I wrote a guide on how to root the T-900 a while ago, this is it.
Finally!
Thanks for all your hard work! Looking back at the thread you seem to be on your game regarding bug fixing.
About to take the plunge myself but wanted to ask the guys who have already flashed it.
I use my tablet all the time. Would you recommend R3 or R4 as a daily driver?
Great Job
