[Q] ROMS - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!!!
Now I'm using SGSIII (GT-I9300)
And I want to flash any ROM.
But here there is different kind of ROMs.
And I cannot recognise which ROM is better.
Which ROM is working perefect and without problems.

Rom recommendations are not allowed in the forum. All i could say is try them yourself. Research about and see which one you'd prefer. Hope this helps man.

Help looking for a Rom

Hello all , I just looking for help in getting a good Rom that is stock with TW and has some add-ons. It's for my wifes note and I don't even remember what I flash the last time since the note was release. Any help would be appreciated.

Need some help and recommendations

Hello all, I have finally decided to root my S3. I just have one question though, what app would be good to backup all my settings, pics, apps and everything else? Also what is a good Rom to use that's fast and based on jellybean?

You can use titanium backup. As for the ROM it depends, some prefer stock with custom kernel others prefer asop ROMs. You should browse the forums and decide for yourself. Also next time search and only make a new thread if you can't really find an answer, the moderators may get mad at you.

What's the difference between asop and stock with different kernel? I read some older topics and just go too confused.

read the OP. it explains the different naming schemes of various different ROMs. it also lists all the roms that fall into different categories of aosp, aokp, stock, and others.

actually jjegan is right. due to hardware differences, you need to check out the appropriate forum for your phone. you will turn your phone into an expensive paperweight if you flashed any roms or kernels in this forum.

A Good ROM for SGS2

Hi everybody. I have a Galaxy Note and a friend with a Galaxy S2. He is not able to flash ROMs, kernel etc, so he asked me to flash a rom chosen by me. I have read a lot of changelogs of various ROM, but i haven't ever informed about this phone. Can you suggest me a good ROM, both touchwiz and cm10. I was interested in pacman ROM, how is it?

Soon to be g2 user

Hello all I'm soon to be a g2 user I just wanted to know what roms you guys are running and how are you guys liking the LG experience
Sent from my HTCONE using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I'm running stock rooted. I'm loving the g2 experience. This is the first time since I've been into android phones (which has been a long time I might add) that I don't have the means for a custom Rom. The g2 stock Rom has a lot of features that most stock aosp Roms have and when u combine xposed framework and mods it can't get any better than this. U won't regret getting this phone.

Hi guys I'm sick of the stock 4.3 rom and want to try a custom rom..I know how to flash roms etc and I don't care what version the rom is.. I want a bug free rom with good battery life.. suggestions?

Rom recommendation requests are against xda rules, as they can cause bad feeling.
Instead try them for yourself, backup your efs first.
