i am facing a strange problem with moto e.
When I send the videos shot with this phone using bluetooth/whatsapp the receiver is not able to play the videos. Even the sent video in whatsapp doesn't play on moto e either.
The voice is audible but the video shows only RGB lines.
Anybody else facing similar issue.
To fix the issue I tried stopping the camera app, then clearing the camera app cache.
This fixed the issue but after one day the issue again cropped up.

Try to play the video in MX Player and see if it helps....

I tried playing the video in MX and VLC both can't disply the video.
On Moto E the original video can be played but the same video when sent via Whatsapp is not being played neither on the Moto E from which it is sent nor on any of the destination devices.

Try to change the decoding of the player.. Ie. In mx player if it's SW(software decoding) change it 2 HW(hardware decoding) or vice versa...

Does anyone else have the problem of recording video and the audio being out of sync wiht the images. Everytime I record a video I have this issue. Any ideas?

I just did a couple of tests and it kinda seemed like it was off when I was watching it back on the Note but when I transfered it to my Hackintosh it seemed to be fine. Are you watching it on the Note or a PC?
on my note. maybe its just a software issue? can you try via another video playback app on the phone

I tried playing them on the Note with the MX video player and it seemed a bit off also but plays fine on the computer....
weird....maybe the gpu. does it play regular videos fine? like ones you load from your computer.

Haven't tried that yet so I don't know. I don't watch alot of movies on my phone.
I have come along an issue I am quite perplexed. I got two factory reset phones, One X and One X+. I send over bluetooth the same exact video file, a 2Mb .avi sent over whatsapp to a third device.
The One X receives the file and it appears under All Downloads in the Gallery with its correct thumbnail and opens with no problem at all.
The One X+ is unable to assign a thumbnail or open the video at all.
Any ideas of how is this even possible?
I believe I can solve the issue with a third party app, but gallery is where I always go first for videos or photos and it is quite annoying to not be able to see what I want to select.
Could it be a codec issue or something similar? Should not both phones have equal video support?

I think you have problem with bad video codec from transfer, because i don't have this problem, but even i can play complete movie of about 1.3Gb with a flawlessly movement and even it can recognize the. mkv video

It is the same exact file, one copy in the One X and another in the One X+, one plays it the other does not.
Someone knows something about the codec support of each device?

I have a problem when recording video in CM11 4.4.4, records the video but does not play the sound of those videos, you only hear noise. IF I play videos downloaded or sent by wassap me if you hear well.
I tried to change the audio codec but the video camera is not going to either.
Can anyone help me?.

I am also newbie to rom and stuff. But I have heard keeping video recording to 720p eliminates lot of problem in kitkat roms. Have you tried mx camera(video) app? See if problem persists!
Is anybody else having video playback errors and video recording errors, after updating to 5.0.2? I often cannot play videos in Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat ect. Video recording within apps does not work either. Did a factory reset and everything after update. Just wanted to see if anyone is having this.

I have the same problem on SGP612.
Disabling Nu Player in developer options and rebooting did the trick. Now video playback in YouTube and Chrome works again!
Same issue here. after a while youtube, facebook,... cannot play any videos. the only solution I found so far is rebooting.
MXplayer does keep on working.

Exact same issue here on my Xperia Z3 Compact, I have tried everything including going back to stock but I still have to reboot my phone 2-3 times a day since the 5.0 update. Does anyone have a solution for this ? Thanks

Was having the exact same issues (snapchat, YouTube etc.) . This fixed everything for me, thanks! :good:

For example I'm watching videos from youtube and after I got this error " Error loading. Tap to retry'" and after this error I cant play any videos, my local videos too. I face "video cannot played" error my local videos. And just when i restart my phone videos are playing. Whats the problem this device? I tried firmware update and it's still same.
It seems to be a bug related to facebook
I dont think there is a fix aside rebooting your device.

Same for me but I even does't have facebook installed, browser videos (html) and Youtube doesn't work, only a restart helps :/
I have it too.. Even you can't record videos with camera.. After restart everything works like a charm.
having the exact same problem, i think this is because of 5.0.2
I think that's not the problem.. I had 5.0.2 for a while... Like 2 months, but this started to happen yesterday
It looks like general problem.. So have we any solution except restarting?
