Hi i am new to Android so i got Karboon A1+ and it runs Android Version 2.3.6 , i want a custom ROM for it coz i am finding a bit difficult to create one from me... how do i back up my default ROM ,, i failed to do it with ROM Manager...
First you need to root and then next step is getting rid of that backed together version of android. Google never released a 2.3.6

This is common mainly with devices from china and a few other countries. They use their own version of heavily modded official versions of android.
You maybe able to back up the rom but will be hard pressed to find a custom rom for the device.

You have to get this from a stock version of your rom. Which due to the device may not be available
hi there guys i am really new to all this rooting, i rooted my phone on the verison 4.1.1 and i know for my network the 4.1.2 has come out but it wont let me update it to that, is there anyway i can update it to 4.1.2 and keeping root

Go to SamMobile and download the latest firmware for your network and flash it
yes there is. Go as decribed to http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/ and look for i9300 with ur network. Then flash via Odin. Keep in mind u will loose ur root and u will have to repeat the rooting process... at least if u want to gain root again,

If you have the app, you can use mobile odin and flash the firmware with it, you will keep root.

what if i want to update to another rom but has the version 4.1.2, would i first have to update my rooted s3 to 4.1.2 then root it then put the 4.1.2 rom e.g wanamlite 4.1.2 or can i just install the rom from clockwork recovery ??

If you have a rooted device, you can directly go from 4.1.1 to (any 4.1.2) custom rom. You may have to wipe your device, follow the instructions in the specific ROM thread.
If you are a newbie to rooting / flashing spend more time in reading + choose correct rom for your S3 or else your phone would turn out-to-be a costly paper weight!

It will get you on the leaked pre-rooted NC2 KitKat for now.
You will first have to upgrade to MJ7 or MK2 - root & install Safestrap 3.71 for starters.

You can upgrade your S930 to 4.4.2 (KitKat) with Vibeui 4.4.2 ROM..
But be careful, that flashing this ROM will void your warranty.. Proceed with your own risks. And any news about the update to kitkat?

Try download the ROM toolbox lite from play store , go to build.prop editor. searching for ro.build.product and see if the value was S930_ROW , change it to S930 and remove the ROW wording.
