its depend upon the user i prefer using tubemate better than youtube official app
and as every1 know that YT is a google app so they keeps updating so ppl can del the older apk from ROM memory ...n btw u cant Freeze all apps bec some apps runs as Perceptible process priority so they keep eating your resources even if they r freeze

It is actually useful if we remove youtube from system apps and install it as an user app.. it is always in memory in general state but if installed as an user app, we can greenify it to save battery+memory!

Greenify works on system apps too but I find it to be a pointless app on this phone just like those task killers in gingerbread era .

We will get it someday.. but TBH I would prefer custom stock rom cos AOSP or CM based roms will cripple rather enhance the functionality of the phone.. this phone as of right now is pretty snappy..
My problem with CM roms is how the in call volume is low and speaker sound starts crackling at high volumes.. I never understood the reason for this!

Yup.. I was really inclined towards buying a SnapDragon phone.. felt frsutrated cos in india sammy releases exynos powered phones and SD phones run AOSP roms better.. but then on close analysis I realised I never last on an AOSP rom for more than 3 days.. and those roms require regular dalvik cache cleaning.. not to mention how it takes a hit on the battery life (on offense- i respect the great devs)..so no point really!
And I really like the latest HMP compatible phones.. drastically reduced stutters and very less heating!
Sorry if it is the wrong thread but I want to ask a question. Hovering my finger above the screen when it is in lockscreen it seems like it responds (but it doesnt unlock) . How can this happening and what is its use. Or isnt it normal? Thanks

ya it normal... i think its a bug bec mostly hovering should only works when Air View wid hand is enable.. or wid bith Spen n Hand bt here we c on lockscreen Colour animation on hovering hand bt some times it dosnt hover.. i think its bug of the phone bt its k ofcourse u cnt unlock it.. either its a bug or just for fun they gave lol... nt it feels good wo play wid n 2 showoff... haha

hi all,.. i just want to ask for help.. i have a galaxy note 3 neo,.. but unfortunately i bought it by mistaken it was a note 3 5.7",,.. and the most saddess part, i bought it here in shanghai, china.. it doesn't have google play,. and everything is a mess,.. and it has a china unicom in its boot animation, is it posible to change the whole system softwre of it??.. i think it was region locked, sm n7506v... and so many chinese bloatware,.. i want to root this phone to make it more better,.. i hope anyone can help me... thanks in advance.. cheers!:highfive:

go on sammobile unlock ur phone 1st bootloder and all i suggest u to google once aba this topic or else download d firmware of ur country than flash fresh firmware over ur current firmware.. am nt sure if its works or nt bt u cn try dis.. 99% Chances that it should work.. unless its locked by some carrier like ATNT

CaynogenMod roms are not based on touchwiz so even if we get CM11 the key S Pen functionality won't be there, though the S Pen will obviously work.

Based on the 2.01.605.11 RUU for the HTC Rezound
Android 2.3.4 w/ HTC Sense UI 3.5

NOTE: Before you flash my ROM you must know if you are on ICS or GB firmware!!!
Now to my Rom's install steps
1. Download the rom and place it on your sd card
2. Verify the MD5 sum I have provided with the download link (do this after the rom is on your sd card)
3. Reboot into recovery and do your wipes
4. Install the rom from sd
5. Reboot and enjoy!

No no no, its because of the way the Links were done, I just linked it to my folder on androidfilehost.com to fix the problem instead of directly to the rom.
Linking directly to whatever the download is makes you wait like 5 seconds and it just shows ads during that time, the link does appear but after those five seconds. Its cool now though since its linked to my folder instead.

Wondering if this supports Arabic? Gingerbread roms have disconnected letters without such a support/base.

I've disabled all other languages except for English and Spanish. You can enable whatever you need. Just look at the default.xml that is in system/customize/CID. You'll have to compare to a stock rom with all the languages still enabled to see what to add back. Have fun with it, you can learn a lot here

Not entirely sure about what issue you were having, but I did test the YouTube app and it played back just fine. Watched me some Ray William Johnson lol.

Oh it is because when I try to watch certain videos they would never load on any gingerbread Rom and apparently I'm not the only one everyone commented on the YouTube app reporting it is not working with rezound gingerbread but I am going to try out your Rom I have been living your roms since the incredible and I'm still with you!

Heh, I always did prefer the look of Sense 3.5 myself. This isn't a bad little rom. It looks nice, runs nice, and has all the features and mods I'd ever want. I really couldn't ask for more. I hope yall like it as well.
One thing is for sure, comments and feedback will inspire me to do more, bigger and better things too. Which reminds me, I need to go update TwiZted SenZes ICS.

One more question/request though, did you by any chance check the gsm fix put together by Joel and Suil for Sense4 and possibly 3.6 as well? Any chance you port that to Gingerbread?

- i dont go to tablet mode cause the fonts are darn tiny

- Ive actually seen that my batteri loss is way more now then it was on PA 1.99

-On the play store I want to download a tablet app. But cannot download because it says 'your device is not compatible' or go here
-Message in notification says: "Service not activated on network" but the service is actually activated as I was able to send MMS in the past
-The battery is going up even if I'm not even charging my phone. I have calibrated and deleted my battery stats through cwm but this still shows up
-I lost the toggles and I don't find from where i can activate them no ROM control

the same thing happen even in system default theme. dont think it's modem issue since kh3, ki4, nelp2, nelp3, lp7, lpx, lp9, lpa. all same thing shown at status bar. nothing critical, just curious. is it cm10 visual bug? yours how is it?

that's weird.. i haven't experienced that kind of bug.. did you apply themes? it could be a bug on the theme you are using..
well, i suggest you wipe cache/ dalvik cache.. it might help you out,

Mine seems to be working fine. When I have wifi on, it shows Gr Cosmote. No idea what might have gone wrong there. Have you tried another sim (another carrier) just to get sure?
Edit 1 : Known Camera bug. If you have your Gallery2.apk at 126dpi - 640 and then choose the front camera you won't be able to change back.
Edit2 : if either your home button or default browser bugs and doesn't work right, press the security toggle on (cm10 bug).

I have a problem that the day, month and date part after the clock in notification bar(expanded) are making itself vertical so you only see the first three letters, look at screenshot, how to fix this?

You seem to have a theme on, check if you have the same issues with the default theme. If not, you have to contact the Themer.

Im on 65% after 45mins screen on time after nearly 6.5hours standby
Partial wakelocks in Betterbatterystats says:
media scanner service 48mins
gtalkservice 10 mins - but I have uninstalled Gtalk! :S

I had problem with battery too.The phone didnt go to deep sleep.Clearing the init.d folder fixed it for me.
Had this prob with boeffla kernel and codec rom.
Maybe this will help other users too.

I've got a problem with the aroma-theme raffa postet in the JB Domination thread.
I flashed this w/o a wipe, but then i couldn't open my browser. It instantly fc's.
Then i wiped and reinstalled foxhound 1.5, still the same. Next step was to go back to my 1.4 nand and flash 1.5 with a wipe and then the theme.
This worked well .
Does somebody know a way i can get the browser working with no wipe?

this problem appears only with the first release of the theme. By the way the second release don't fix the FC. So you have to copy "secbrowser.apk" from zip of the rom and paste into system->app, then wipe cache and dalvik, do another installation of the 2nd release of the theme and the browser will run :good:

sorry for late reply...
firstly as i mention, im using samsung Original Lockscreen as the default one... not AOSP lockscreen (i also disable the Holo Lockscreen, i also try re-enable holo lockscreen and close set the lockscreen only for portal mode and back disable it)
using Holo-launcher at the moment (holo launcher i also set portal mode only)
or must i only use holo-lockscreen with the holo-launcher?

Your problem has been answered by DSA himself and I'll tell you again. As long as you chose from aroma to have a rotated lock screen it will remain like that. What only you can do is to reflash without that option but also you can wait for the new version within a day .
I would like to remind you that it's better to read at least the last 2 pages before posting or to use search.

Using Fox-Hound 1.5 (with Siyah 1.7 Kernel) after coming from 1.3, and 1.4.
No complaints to report that I haven't been able to muddle through myself, but just thought I'd like to post a general THANKS for the Rom.
Smooth, Functional, and while every so often there are issues with battery, that's hardly the ROM's fault, as 99% of the time you can find a program you've recently installed that is the cause.
I am loving the new Android 1.4.2 "multi-window" mode that we've inherited from the Note 2, although I am sure it's not quite as useful on a SGS3 as it is on the Note.
What it is absolutely awesome at doing, is showing iPhone users (like my wife) how multitasking should work
reguarding to CodecRom 9.0, is there any way to edit/change the lockscreen to disable rotation? thanks...

i do really read anything =.= i dont mean to unwelcome anywhere, just trying the question for help, get answer, ofcause i will try my self to help out other too,
i found out that i wanted to use (nav button) but i dont want lock screen rotate, but when come to choose over the aroma, it dont have another choice that with nav button without lockscreen rotate, so i think its my fate to use it... hope OTA help in future

Requirements:
1. Rooted Phone
2. Chainfire 3d and plugins
3. cm7 libs by yusepz
4. GTA 3 {APK + DATA}
5. ES File Explorer
6. A usable Brain of course
Instructions:
1. Install Chainfire 3d, its plugins and ES File Explorer
2. Install Drivers and tick Experiment EGL (might or might not work in your device depending on your ROM)
3. Make sure to go in default openGL Settings > Tick Reduce Texture Quality and Texture Size and select Qualcomm under Load Plugin
4. Download and extract "cm7 libs by yusepz" to the root of sdcard
5. Make Sure in ES File Explorer, Go to menu>settings>root settings > and Tick 'Root Explorer' and 'Mount File System'
6. Copy the Content of egl folder found in /sdcard/cm7 libs by yusepz/system/egl/HERE to /system/libs/egl/HERE
7. RESTART IS REQUIRED!
8. Now Install GTA 3 apk and copy the data in here /sdcard/android/data/HERE
9. Open up GTA 3
10. Accept user license agreement.
11. When download prompt appears, hit the back button and press home button.
12 In the status bar, touch the gta 3 notification to open up and Voila! You can play the game! :highfive:
MOST IMPORTANT: BUY the game! SERIOUSLY, BUY IT!
You can Download the DATA but buy the app from market! It will really work .... and If it doesn't work then you can refund it ... instead of wasting your time downloading data through app...
Only tested in Stock ROM, Merruk Kernel 2.0 Pre-Final
Will surely work on CM7 because this lib was made for CM7

Just because it's paid doesn't make it warez he didn't provide any links or anything also I've seen this many times posted here MAAAANY times this has been around for a while in fact the day it released a guy released a guide immediately only reason I didn't report was I couldn't find any guides

What kind of question is that warez simply means acquiring something that's paid without paying so if he had place an apk of gta 3 that would be warez a play store link however wouldn't

NOTICE: First, this is ALL ptmr3's ROM. He and his crew made all the modifications you find in rom. This is his hard work. Anything you find in this ROM that is fancy (other than the kernel) you should thank HIM for. Now then..

I didn't. At best I forked it, or kanged it, at worst I dismembered it. This ROM can be considered Padawan ultra fat free lite. I've removed EVERYTHING I don't considered necessary. The key being what *I* don't need. You'll notice this gutting when you download it. This ROM is roughly 400mb (or 50%) smaller than Padawan-proper. I did this in an attempt to speed everything up. Upon first boot, you should find the ROM only using 376mb of RAM. The screenshot above is your app drawer upon install. If you don't see it listed there, it's not installed. My belief is that a user should get the honor of slowing down their device with their own crap.

Tell me what I broke, and if I don't agree with you, I'll try to figure out what I removed that broke a real feature.
Addon Packages
I don't recommend installing these unless you need them. This rom is, imo, the fastest stock JB experience you can find on i717. The more of the "crap" you put back on it, the more you're going to adversely affect that claim.

EDIT: On initial run through, this thing is blazing. Which can be expected, but even clocked down back down to 1.5ghz ( I don't overclock up to 1.8 ghz) and running conservative governor , this ROM is still super fluid. Idk if its placebo, but the speed difference is noticeable by a lot.

I'm fast becoming a fan of your work man. Downloading now! i'm currently using your CM9 - Jelly mash up, but want to give this a spin because I find the GNOW a bit too choppy at the moment. The rest of the rom is buttery smooth but I will be backing that up to try this as I think that is my go to ROM at this point.
Cut that fat and give me the gushy stuff! hahaha:good:

Thanks, and I'm pleased with this. It runs faster than any JB experience I've had. I think JBS still edges it out, but that's the nature of aged hardware. I actually got this all setup. Used it for 30 minutes, went back to JBS for a few hours, went back to this for the rest of the night, and now I'm back on JBS.
As for NFC, check the OP. I added a flashable for it. As people find things they "must" have I'll just create little add-on packs. I don't plan on ever touching my modified base again, though, as I feel like it's in the goldilocks zone.

As for NFC, check the OP. I added a flashable for it. As people find things they "must" have I'll just create little add-on packs. I don't plan on ever touching my modified base again, though, as I feel like it's in the goldilocks zone.

Will give it a whirl without NFC and see how it goes. Definitely a good option for those like me that don't use the Snote functionality, and let a brotha know how I can buy you a beer man. I'm sure there are others that would like to know as well.

Not sure where else to ask this. Is there anyway to get the long hold to skip song tweak on this ROM? It's the only thing holding me back from flashing this.

I found a few apps, Pandawg. One requires a working init.d, which this doesn't (currently) have. Hopefully that'll be remedied soon by Da_G.
There's also this, which while slightly different, is free so I reckon it's worth a shot.
