Hey guys whats up, I'm wondering if anyone has any tutorials on how to root this android device.
(add ebay here) /itm/390819936531?var=660230775489&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
It is an iRulu 7 " tablet, as you can see I've posted an eBay posting on where I actually bought it from. This device surprised the heck outta me on all what it can already do, I would like to unlock more power if possible.
If anyone has any thought on how to actually root this device that would be great, I've tried pretty much everything so I don't really think its available. I think the problem resides on the computer you are on not recognizing the device after you had the driver installed.

Hello again, guys. I had just sold my ZTE Majesty for a tablet. It's brand new that I got off of Amazon. It was only like 100 dollars or so. But here is my problem... I can't get this to root at all. Every application acts as if it isn't an Android device. I can't connect it to my PC because there isn't a way to view the files from the Tablet to the PC.
I've tried zRoot, Poot, Spaarkyroot, Framaroot, but I couldn't get any of those to work. And like I said, I can't do PC to Tablet connection (or at least I don't know how, there might be a way.)
Thanks for the help, guys! And good luck trying to root the ZTE Majesty!

Hi I have a Dragon Touch DTR97 tablet, I as you tried everything I could find to root my tablet, nothing worked. Then I came across motochopper, it worked and my DTR97 is now rooted. Next step is to find a cwm_recovery.img for it. Have not had any luck in flashing a custom recovery image, yet, still trying.
I also have the same model and am looking for a similar solution.
The driver installs correctly and connects without problem, but when USB debugging is enabled and it tries to install the debug driver, it will not install correctly. This causes me to not be able to use it with any rooting programs. Is there anywhere I can get a compatible driver?

As an alternative, is there a way to install CM-10 or CM-11 on it? (yeah, I expect if no developers have one here, it might be difficult to develop an image for it). For now I haven't needed to root it, as it's doing what I need for now, but if I want to start moving apps (or app data) off to a microSD card, I may need a root or CM1x version (and Google needs to be *smacked* for disabling SDcard functionality in later Android versions).
I have just purchased one of these NB7022S tablets from Staples as well. I have unsuccessfully been trying to root it for the last couple of days. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I have one of these Nobis NB7022s tablets as well, but the screen has been broken. So since the tablet isn't usable in it's current state, would it be of use to someone to do a teardown/analysis of the device in order to make a CyanogenMod port to it?
success
Just rooted the nb7022s using kingo root. First download the android software developer kit on your pc then open the sdk manager and download every possible update in order to have the correct drivers, not sure which one did the trick because i just downloaded everything. Then in your tablet go to settings-about tablet- then scroll down to build number and click 7 times to unlock developers options on the main settings screen. Go to developers options and turn it on and enable usb debugging. Plug tablet into your PC and install and run kingoroot. Should connect and root your tablet and automatically install superuser. Now I just need to figure out what version of clockworkmodrecovery to flash as recovery because this tabket does not have a supported cwmr, any help on that would be awesome because i dont want to brick my very first rooted device lol. Hopefully this info might help another newbie like myself.
thanks buzzdb666 for the tip on rooting. However, now every time I turn off the tablet and on, it always does a factory reset/wipe so I have to reinstall everything . Wondering if you've encountered the same thing?
Would be an interesting experiment to try, but again, the tablet has a broken screen, and I can't have a mouse *and* a connection to the computer at the same time. I had thought I could at least get the debug info from the tablet in case someone wants to develop an image for a non-broken unit. Once again, it's available if any XDA developers would like to use it for tear-down or testing, since I can't do much with it otherwise. Unless there's a way to extract what someone would need via a microSD card.
Mine is doing the same thing after using Kingo Root. Not sure what can be done since I can't go backwards now.
Hi there! im having some issues rooting my a720 azpen tablet.
i took some research on how will i root it and i decided to use the sdk package for rooting it.
the problem is whenever i go debug mode on USB and connect it to my computer, adb could not find the device so what i did was i checked it on my device manager and found that the device is not even listed on the device manager.
now i went on a little search for the drivers for the a720 azpen and found 1 yahoo question answered but unfortunately azpen replied that there is no drivers for this model.
can anyone help me out figure this? this tablet has been with me for a year and im really itchin to do some apps on it since this tablet crashes alot when browsing.
thank you and good day.

Looks like the firmware upgrade tool they provide has drivers for it...

thanks for the reply, the drivers from the pheonix pro only did little help. sadly adb still couldnt detect the device.
oddly i remembered something like this one. i think it was poseidon that can also be used to flash cw3.

I have an Azpen A1040, I am fairly new to tablets altogether.
I was trying to use the complete linux installer app to see if I could run Ubuntu on my tablet.
Well, that requires root. I have tried a few things with no success.
But the last one I tried was Vroot, it did NOT root the tablet, but yet, now Vroot is on there and I can not remove it even after doing a Facotry Reset.
I uninstalled Vroot when it didnt work, but then I did a factory reset and noticed there is an icon that looks like the vroot icon but all the text is in chinese.
I dont really need to run linux or root priveleges that bad, but now it bugs me that the vroot app is still there. What is it doing. Is it hurting anything?
Is there an easy way to get rid of it?
The specs of the tablet from the side of the box are
Azpen A1040 10.1" Quad Core Tablet
CPU MT8127 Quad Core Cortex A7
Running Android KitKat 4.4.2
You can find web specs for it at azpenpc.com
I can go in to running apps and do a force stop and disable on the chinese vroot, but I just dont want it to cause spyware or anything else.
Not even sure this is the right forum to post in, but I figure someone will point me in the right direction I hope.
Thanks
Rick (A total tablet newbie) haha

Hi Rick, did you figure out how to root this device? I have been struggling for days trying to find a root utility. Thanks!
I'm not doing what you are attempting but.
I found a couple of potential options. That worked for the limited things I was doing.
Cyanogen rooting appeared to work, though it won't allow installation of custom roms since there currently is no support.
Kingoapp I found on CNet, though I don't have any experience with it, it appeared to successfully root the device.
I would have added links but currenlty it appears I'm not allowed to. Google is your friend.

I only have access to an ancient computer that I've installed xubuntu on because that's about all I can get to run on it. Is it possible to root my HDX 7" from here?
I've done a bunch of googling and am just not turning up any recent information that seems to apply.

Try this site: http://www.howtogeek.com/133515/4-ways-to-run-windows-software-on-linux
It might not be anything , just not sure.
Search up VMware, Wine, or probably the best one, use a friend computer and/or a Remote desktop to root.
Also if has been updated to or pas version 4.1 you can't root right now. So your stuck until some one gets a good way of doing it. Don't worry too much about it, because you can call Amazon customer service and ask them to rill your device back to 13.3.2.7.
They don't like to roll em back so be sure to have a good story on how it doesn't work in and extra friend . With 13.3.2.7bis takes 2 minute to root. Website is www.towelroot.com, good luck.
PS: Sorry for the mess of the post it's hard to form good sentences while intoxicated.
