Is Xperia Mini Pro tv-out capable?, i know it does not have an hdmi port like Xperia Pro, but i've seen some AV Cables that claims to be compatible with Xperia Mini Pro....
Also ive saw a guy who claimed that usb tv out would be possible....
And if none of the possibilities are true, whats the best way to see xperia mini pro in a tv, i was thinking of streaming but that can be a little slow... and DLNA is only for watching pics, movies, and music...
ty in advance
PS: Interesting video --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rS2ly9fk-Q pair that with a stereo cable and you got a pretty decent video out (at least to watch it on a pc... and then to tv xD)
there are micro usb to av out cables avialAble in market
The latest firmware 2.3.4 for all 2011 xperias is said to be tv-out compatible.
then there are cables avialable for htc incredoble etc
Can anyone confirm if there is a way to enable tv-out on the mini pro?
Eiher via micro-jack to composite or USB to composite.
I tried it with a micro-jack to composite cable that came with my WDTV mediaplayer but that didn't work. Didn't even gave audio to the TV..
Thanks!
I have a nokia N95 Tv-out cable that worked with my samsung wave... I'll try it tonight and let you know if this works...
There doesn't appear to be anything in the Android menus that appear to activate this though....
I also want to know if our xperia mini are capable of doing TVout on HDMI or VGA. Even just for power point presentation. It would really be helpful.
I would love to use my mini as a media player and connect it to my tv in my bedroom. (320x480 is good enough on a old television)

I found the HDMI activation in service menu *#*#7378423#*#* , but now... where to buy the cable, WHICH cable to buy, where does it fit?
The service menu is common to several models with different abilities.
Also for cables, search google:

Yes, but for unavailable hardware the service menu shows specific messages (not available, not installed,...). For HDMI, if I select ACTIVATE, it shows an additional screen to select resolution. It shows no data about the HDMI connection, but I guess it would, if I connected a canble...
After doing some googling I found "[email protected]" http://blog.ribomation.com/droid-at-screen/
is not what I was looking for but you can see your android screen on TV by connecting
Phone -> PC (laptop) -> TV
Works with windows/linux and uses adb.

How to play videos and audio songs from Xperia s to Sony vaio laptop through Wifi.
I found option like play on device in walkman on Xperia s. How to use play on device on my phone.
Check out the connected devices app. If your laptop supports dlna it will see the phone show up as a media server once you enable it on the phone.

Give some apps and tutorials for Dnla and how can i know dnla is available in my laptop or not, In my laptop having HDMI port .
I think that windows media player can detect media servers. It should be in the library. But first you have to add your laptop to connected devices in the phone

Is there any way to connect my xperia u to tv.
tried dlna but does'nt worked
Thread moved to Xperia Q & A section.
is your tv on the same wifi network as your xperia u when you tried the dlna, should work, dont know of any other way if your phone doesnt have the hdmi port... Im sure there are ways if you were to set up some sort of media server but theres no point you'd be better off doing that from your laptop or something, way easier

That phone have a hdmi port? If it have one you can use the specific cable for that.
Why DLNA doesn't work? remember, both devices need to be in the same network ( i mean, same subnet) in order to work properly
Sorry for my bad english
XU has no HDMI port. Only using DLNA as was described upper, or to use Media Server - but I'm not sure if TV knows to work with shared media over WiFi...with notebook no problem, but with TV... DLNA is the way...
to connect at your Tv with DLNA, don't use the application in the menù!
Go in Albun click on the photo that you would see , and than press again! Push the icon on right top e press than press on the icon for play on a device... sorry for bad english...
Why is it that once I connect to miracast it will disconnect from wifi? Is it hardware limitation or software bug? My Samsung note 2 can connect on both miracast and still maintain wifi connection.
I would like to know... Had the same problem.

SW Issue
This ist what I posted in the sony forum thread under talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Tablet-Z/Can-t-do-Screen-Mirroring-miracast-and-WiFi-connection/td-p/333179/page/3[/url]
Sooo, installed Cyanogenmod 10.2 (based on Android 4.3 which supports WiDi/Miracast natively) and see there:
WIDI/Miracast and the connection to my home WiFi Network work simultaneously.....!!!
So Sony, two lessons for you here:
1. Get of your collective ***** and get Android 4.3 going without nerfing perfectly fine core features
2. If you're going the forum/community way, provide correct information (aka really ask your developers) and don't spew half informed nonsense/play the information hiding game...
To everyone else here: give them ****, or they will never learn!
PS: Who wants to try, google Cyanogenmod ("Pollux" -for LTE variant- or "Pollux_Windy" -for WiFi only variant-). Warning!: Possible Warranty void when flashing custom ROMS

Will Simultaneous Screen Mirroring and WIFI be possible on Sony's V4.3 Release?
I am glad to hear screen mirroring and WIFI can work simultaneously with the Cyanogenmod 10.2 ROM. Just wondering if the screen monitoring/WIFI issue will be fixed on the official V4.3 stock ROM?
The Xperia Z tablet is awesome, but shutting down the WIFI while enabling screen mirroring is a major show stopper for me, given that I bought this tablet for my parents to watch streaming video (i.e. Netflix, XBMC, YouTube.) on TV though a Push2TV adapter. For close to a year my Nexus 4 has been able to stream many movies using wireless screen mirroring without losing the WIFI, I am surprised the Sony Xperia Z Tablet is not able to do the same.
Hey folks,
I've recently purchased an LED Pocket Projector (LG PB62G) which supports Intel WiDi.
My idea was to mirror the screen of my Xperia Z2 to that projector, since Intel WiDi and Android/Sony use the same standard for wireless communication: Miracast.
Whenever I want to mirror my screen, the phone cannot find the projector.
Is there any way to get this working?
Edit: I'm still running the most current 5.x stock rom for z2.
Thanks a ton in advance.
It's rather Screen Mirroring than Throw.
Tried lots of stuff and googled this issue for hours ...
Nobody here with a similar problem or - which would even be better - a solution?
