A friend of mine's phone, LG P765 is totally dead - I've literally tried every combination for an emergency mode to factory reset, the phone doesn't respond to anything. Just black screen. I removed the battery and installed drivers on my system after a long struggle. Now, when I connect the phone with volume down button into the system, the phone is detected (with still battery removed). But I can't flash any kdz file - it disconnects after 2 minutes. Any help?
If you got it to install as a omap device you can use unofficial fastboot with omap4boot to reflash the xloader and uboot.
Take a look at this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2119090
If you need a xloader and uboot to flash just mention it and I'll host it up on my devhost.

Hi, i've a strange (but i hope common and resolvable) problem.
After all, i say that i searched through the forum (with the search function) but with the solution that i found and tried i didn't solve anything.
I start saying that i got a p500 with a broken sdcard reader board (it simply doesn't have a microsd 'cause doesn't recognize).
That phone some days ago just shut down and went stuck on the LG Logo.
I tried at first the hard reset (home+vlm down+pwr), nothing happens.
I tried then the recovery mode and try to update with lg updater, and didn't work, lg doesn't recognize the phone on the updater (but on the main screen of the BBc app does).
The last thing that i noticed is that one time, powering on the phone, button's leds flashed about 4-5 times. but if i try to re-do the action, doesn't get anymore.
I would know if there is another way to exit from this stuck-screen.
I also post the log of error i get from kdz:
Upgrade error
WParam: 100
LParam: 500
Here is the log: http://pastebin.com/4SECdaT4
Other things i forgot to say:
I don't need to shake the phone, if kdz doesn't detect, i take off the battery, and turn on the phone in emergency mode (up+back+pwr).
Sometimes kdz works without that error, but it reboots the phone and it stucks again in the lg silver logo.
I read about a wipe of /system through adb, but if i try to mound /system, i get the command list.
I can't do adb devices, doesn't detect the phone, and in sequence to this, can't open the adb shell.
any suggestion?
You recovery got corrupt when it was stuck on LG logo, which could be easily solved by fastboot method of recovery flashing.
I was on the same situation like you are on now. Now follow this:
Try booting into fastboot mode by pressing "Power+ home buttons"
If it does then notify me here or at PM.
Between this is not the appropriate section for this thread.
I tried to fastboot, i did fastboot erase recovery and fastboot flash recovery recovery.img commands, no errors, but when i type fastboot reboot, on the screen i read: rebooting the device, but it doesn't reboot. If i take off the usb cable, (after a big time, 10 mins for example), a --suspend-- appears.
if i take off the battery, the lg logo is stuck again, and if i do home+vol down+pwr the clockwork mod doesn't appear.. any suggestion?
See your PM

Lucky for you, it seems this phone is very difficult to brick thanks to LG's bootloader "precautions".
Pull out the battery, and put it back in. Hold the volume down and put in the usb cable, if you see the S/W upgrade mode screen, use this to flash it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085344
If not, you'll need to install fastboot and flash uboot and xloader for ics then use the above method.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2119090
For future rooting, i'd recommend this

Appreciating you a lot.. thank you so much for your help.. :good:
I went through your suggested threads... it seems like the Phone can be unbricked.. Hope it does.
In Last week I could not try these... bcoz of slow wifi and slow pc..
But in this week I will do it.. Lets see.. Fingers Crossed
I tried doing it as per 'cmahendra's' [GUIDE] FLASH L9 Factory ICS/JB ROM WITH OFFLINE FIX + UNBRICK
As I was able to get into 'SW Upgrade mode' [by Pressing Volume UP button and inserting USB cable into phone]
But it failed at Stage where the tool first analyzes and detects connection between USB cable and phone.
I have installed LG driver. Now dont know how to establish this connection.
PLEASE HELP!!

This happens sometimes, all you need to do is install fastboot and flash the uboot and xloader for ics.
SOLVED: Got the phone working again
Hey Thanks..
I Got the phone working again..
First time when I did fastboot using omap4boot fastboot method, I didn't install the drivers again. :silly:
So I did that and once I got into fastboot, bingoo.... I knew my phone can be unbricked now, so I flashed the recovery.img instead of kdz.
Which got successful and I got into the recovery. So I just cleared the cache and dalvic and tried rebooting (System) the phone.
And taadaa.. the phone booted with 4.1.2 running now..
Hello Yesterday i have upgraded my phone ROM.
First have unlocked the bootloader.
Next, followed this video to upgrade to Android 5.0 AOPS build:30-11-2014 by Artas.
It was great and useable while i did not installed a new CWM.. (CWM 6.0.4.5 Touch by Pollos).. after that, the phone is stucked at "LG" logo and while i charge random times reboot..
Earsed all with fastboot, and now the phone is not turn on while i charge or try to turn it on..
I have got this problem earlier with an other android version (sercurity error) and the S/W update was good.

Now.:
When i try do S/W upgrade with the "LG Mobile Support Tool", it stops at 4% and the phone disconnect itself from the PC.. the installer goes (without the phone plugged in) 4--->8% and if i turn again my phone to download mode, go to 15%.
At 15% again disconnect and the installer say "Error, try to unplug USB and remove battery and try again......"
I have tryed KDZ offline flashing but it is force quit when i click "Start"..
Tryed:
Official support tool - Say "You have already installed the latest version (V20H). If i try to "Upgrade errors fix", it stop at 15% as i said..
Fastboot - earse boot, system etc.. after that again upgrade, but stop at 15% and phone turn off.
LG Flash tool - these 90% exit with some error before i can start anything..
I hope you can help and understand my bad english:'D
Did you invoke "Download Mode"? If i remember, this requires switching the phone off, and attaching it to usb while keeping volume up or down pressed, and will show a special screen, if successful.
Download mode is even more basic than fastboot or adb, and the final line of defense, before throwing the phone away.
All LG tools require the LG usb drivers. These at least no longer recognize the phone with Artas' CM11, except for when in download mode. Then Windows should auto-install a virtual COM port. For ADB and Fastboot you need different drivers then, like those from the Google SDK. But with these the LG tools won't work, not even the sync suite.
Hello there. My girlfriend has a LG L9 P778g (which is actually a P768). She was charging her phone last night, left it there. After a couple of hours she picked it up and the phone was dead, black screen and wouldn't boot up (No LG LOGO, NOTHING, not even the backlight on the buttons).
I've flashed P768 ICS xloader and uboot with fastboot by Lelus. Then went into fastboot with option 1. Went into S/W Upgrade Mode, and my LG was recognized by the LG Support Tool (it shows up as Android: OMAP440 FastBoot USB Device in Device Manager and as LGP778g in LG Support Tool).
Process finished to 100% (around 90% screen went black). But nothing happens, i mean, the cellphone still won't turn on, just black screen. I SEE NO LG LOGO, NOTHING. I can only get into S/W Upgrade mode after fastbooting. (No fastboot image on screen neither).
Any hints?
Thanks!!
Regards, Alan

Hi Alan, it feels like a hardware issue or maybe a broken power button. Can't you try booting to fastboot over USB and then rebooting as normal?
Maybe you need to press the home button to switch the screen on after flashing. If the D/L mode screen was replaced by the LG stock recovery (service mode), immefiately flash the rom a second time. Then it should boot to the launcher.
This worked for me when nothing else did.
Please help,
I have stock rom rooted LG l70 d320. It works propperly but now I applied exposed module called "Commandr for Google Now
", then rebooted but...
Phone just started vibrating every second once, but screen was still black.
It continues about 10 minutes and still same...
Than i pull out my battery and place it back. Again it start vibrating but nothing more.
I tried to hard reset (volume down and power button), but it only stopped vibrating for the while.
And I tried to connect to PC (i want ro flash stock rom)too, but PC cant detect my device. So I cant use ADB to recovery
Thank you in advance for your answers.
