Hello,
I've installed Tasker some days ago but I haven't added any task/profile yet... it's simply running in background.
I've experienced a noticeable battery drain, let's say 4%-5% per hour (usually it is 2%-3%)... If I disable Tasker battery consumption goes back to a normal rate.
According to Better Battery Stats, my deep sleep rate is quite low (around 70% with an average phone usage), even if I can't see anything clealry related to Tasker.
I'm using a Jelly Bean rom.
What should I check?

Hi guys,
I'm using GingerMod v0.3 with the default kernel (ninphetamine 2.1.3).
My battery was at 100% when i went to sleep. After about 8 hours when i woke up, it dropped to 92%. Is that normal?
I have turned off automatic sync as well as gps. Even "Back up my data" and "Automatic restore" was off. Display was at a minimum 3%. Most of the battery % was used up by Android OS.
given the percentage of the draining 8% over 8 hours i quess is pretty good. I quess different rom + kernel produce different effects. Yours is considered ok.
ya the drain is quite normal

1% an hour during sleep mode is considered good? i had the impression that it would only drop 3-4% during sleep.

More than good I'd say. And you never can have a constant rate, one night it will be 3-4%, other night it will be 9-10%, depends on the processes running at that period. If you have Better Battery Stats installed then you will be able to see what had cost that extra drainage under Partial Wakelocks section.
I normally have 3-4% drain in an overnight period of 8-9 hours, but yesterday it was 15%. Then I saw it was Camera360 Ultimate which was running and searching for GPS!
Regards.
That's about similar to what i get on standby with data enabled so yeah good battery there/
Thats good ? Mine drops 1 percent overnight (+-10 hours) with original battery Or stays at 100 until morning when I wake up with 2000mah bat... Data and wifi turned off.
But I presume thats just me being battery friendly user
I tried better battery stats and it seems the Email app is consuming the most resources during sleep. hmm...
last 3 nights I noticed huge battery drain, about 1% per hour, anybody knows where is the problem?
my tab runs stock ICS rom and stock kernel
thanks for help
after some diagnostics I found that GoogleServicesFramework is battery drainer (not sure, it has most wakelocks in betterbatterystats - about 50 in 5 hours and its awake time is about 1:30)
Try the OsiMood ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1677281. I previously was very disappointed in battery life, but after switching to OsiMood battery life is much much better - especially in sleep mode. Overnight unplugged it drops only 1-2%.
I downloaded autostarts and disabled startup of GSF on every event and left only Application Installed event (if disabled, market wont download any app)...seems that battery life is back to normal...99% at the morning (no keep awake time in battery stats) so it is fixed without changing rom , I did this procedure also on my phone and its battery drain during night is greatly reduced
Can S2 owners install Battery Monitor Widget and post your stats here ? If possible, post your ROM/kernel/ tweaks like governors, scheduler, etc. ? Thanks
The reason I post this poll is my S2 draws too much current at idle/deep sleep state compared to my other devices. Other ones drain around 3-6mAh while the S2 lowest is sometimes at 11-12mAh and most of the time it stays at 25-40mAh . I hope this thread/poll can give owners with battery problem some solutions !
I will help you with your poll.
From experience: I've had days where the battery would be charged to 100%, and the battery would only be at around 85% by 3:00 PM (Starting at around 6:30 AM).
Other days, it would drain %20 every freaking hour!
I have my screen at a MAX of 66% brightness all day, because it's screen is already badly burned (since I bought ot used).
I use it for maybe 2-5 hours everyday. Its sleep drain is maybe %3 percent drain per hour on good charges. And possibly %6 - 10% per hour on normal charges. It has been REALLY bad (with all radios on), with a nasty %20 per hour rating (sleeping!).
I don't install monitor apps because they kill battery tons.
Here is my battery chart for some help. I am on stock 2.6.5 GB ROM (no root).

Normal battery drain is 6-7% overnight.Even if i turned on aeroplane mode, the battery drain overnight is 3-4%.
Any Remedy?!
You have to find the cause of the drain. I get a drain of 0.6-0.7% per hour overnight. If that's the level you're at, then you're fine, (I don't know how long you sleep- can't make that calculation). Some setups can go below that but really your phone should be consuming some energy overnight. If it's much higher than that, use gsam battery or better battery stats to figure out 1. No of times each service is waking your device. 2. Are there any apps that are consuming a lot more than everything else. Charge your phone above 90% and let it be overnight as you normally would. What you do after will depend on what you find out, what rom you have, what kernel you have, what your phones unlock status is and what kind of performance/usability you are willing to give up.
PS. Don't turn off sync or turn on battery saver at night. That actually causes some apps to misbehave. As an overall fix , naptime or greenify with aggressive doze are good. Just don't use both at the same time
I'm not really satisfied with battery life of my less than two months old Realme GT 12/256 GB.
What is your average screen on time on this phone?
Mine would be in the 3.5-5 hours range in a day and a half, maybe more if I watch a movie or something.
I'm not playing games and only have Viber, WhatsApp, Facebook... usual stuff.
I didn't see any tanglible difference between "auto" and 60 Hz screen mode regarding battery life.
Also, what percentage of battery drain do you see overnight?
I'm on latest firmware, tried every possible battery saving combination, but always have at least 3% battery drain overnight (usually around 4% in 7-8 hours) and that with radio and all apps off and various battery saving settings applied (global and per app).
I'm starting to believe it's "normal" for this phone and its SD 888 chipset.
Thanks.
Same
I have very similar results as you. Battery life is just ok.
Current battery life:
from 93% to 28% in 1d 19h, SOT: 3h 15min.
Before this I had Poco F3 for a month or so and I don't recall exactly, but it was something like a 1%, 2% max. drain overnight with pretty much the same usage pattern.
Also I have Lenovo tablet with far weaker MTK CPU but not much bigger battery (5000 mAh and 10.3'' screen) and that one almost doesn't use battery in standby mode (beats all phones I had).
I'm currently disabling various apps and testing and I'll post here if I find out something useful.
Optimized standby - Ultra standby makes exactly no difference in my current setup so I turned it off completely.
Quick device connect is also turned off and not in use, as far as I can tell.
