I hv already tried that.. I get a white screen when i boot up in recovery
Please someone build from source! Dont port.. I tried porting and lanede on a soft brick! I cannot build from source as i dont have 20 gigs of bandwidth to sync the repo! Please help!

You should try rooting via
Odin.
They have a section for your phone on the forum.
Low Activity & Legacy devices>Samsung galaxy SL>Android development.

Guys yesterday I was in stock rom and wanted to install recovery... So I installed Touch based Cwm via mobile uncle tools so it rebooted and from that moment onwards I am not getting any sim to work.. :banghead:
Plz help guys. Installed Cwm normal now still the same... Installed other rom still the same...
Plz help... Its in emergency. Below is the settings snapshot. Can't even open sim management in any rom.

I hv rooted my phone a week ago just to increase my ram... but since it doesnot support swapping.. i think that after changing my rom it should work or please tell me about any other method please ?

2nd method didn't work for me too...if u cldnt root by 2nd method try 1rst methd its very easy & fast ...
Bro do it in ur own risk follow instructions properly don't brick ur phone..I rooted my galaxy star successfully by 1st method so u can try it.....:thumbup:
