JustArchi's ArchiDroid Optimizations - Xperia Tablet Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

to developers
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2754997
can this be used in a rom develop for the tablet z ???????
I am testing a rom with this added for my galaxy s2 phone and so far the phone respond very well and very fast .....

that would be interesting. Have you asked @JustArchi for help?

If there exists CyanogenMod for your device, my optimizations will exist as well.

{S}[KERNEL] FreeKernel for the Xperia S [WIP][ICS]

I do not have an Xperia S, so any issues with this kernel you experience you will have to post a kmsg and logcat.
I work for free! All donations are greatly appreciated.
For now this thread is only a placeholder until I get something started, it will have the basics:
OC, more governors and io schedulers etc.
Also, I may have to abandon this project if I do not have enough time to work on the device I have, and the device I'm going to get.
/keiran
hey,
beside OC, whats the advantages of FreeKernel over the stock kernal?
thanks.

More governors, swap, ksm, zram, io schedulers, tiny rcu just off the top of my head
OC, governors and schedulers are exactly the cons of the stock kernel.

If you don't have the device, PM me if you need any testing. Also does the source have bcmdhd in any form? It would be great to switch to it for AOSP/CM/AOKP whatever, more features etc.
I haven't even downloaded it yet, way too much going on IRL.
I haven't got it either, but I will soon
If it doesn't have bcmdhd I will try and implement it

Yeah. Port monkeys FTW You guys should put your stuff on github too, so we can maybe cooperate. Btw, who of you has the S? I think jerpelea wanted one, but not quite sure now.

Hey,
I'm not as such a core developer of FreeXperia and more of a contributor (just joined the group) and I only speak with Jerpelea.
As far as I know I'm the only person without the S, Jerpelea has one, so does bin4ry, defer, DooMLoRD
As far as I am aware all of our released stuff is either on github.com/CyanogenMod or github.com/freexperia
Although individual stuff (such as this kernel) go on our own github as it is not related to freexperia.
If you need any help with AOKP, I have no problem with that, just give me a nudge
If I had my own way I would have an Xperia S but I'm only 16 and the S is too much, twice my budget.
Cheers,
Keiran

What are the chances of the OPX reciecving MultiRom support?

I know the One has MultiRom but it seems like the Two has not gotten it yet.

It'll be easy for the OnePlus X.
BTW will it being the same processor as the OPO be a big advantage for porting MultiRom to OPX?

No custom ROMs?

I've had an honor 7 for about a month now and i can't seem to find an actual custom ROM. Just "EMUI" based custom ROMs which is just the original ROM, but modded
Also possible to unlock bootloader so why aren't there any custom roms?
help
i miss stock
I think the main reason is that it's been very hard for devs to compile cm or aosp for the Kirin SOC. That coupled with issues with the kernel source code such as it being very different to other android sources have made it a real challenge for devs to do.
Not that it's impossible though, this will just take a long time with lots of effort.

Is this eben going conform woth gpl? I mean the donators only Thing? I Unterstand that effort needs to be rewarded And i even placed a donation, but i allways figured Android development a verry community driven dort of Thing.
That's not what he meant according to this .

Is there any AOSP-7?

CM14 has a high power consumption and performance is weak "Not only 14 more to 13 as well." (If you are AOSP ROMs user will sense what I'm talking about).?

There is still no friend, someone is working on it. For now, you can only use alternatives 6.0.1: Cardinal, DU and others.
Is anyone working on "[ROM][7.0.0_r14]AOSP+OMS/Substratum"? if I had this ROM, would be very good ... My sister uses it in Moto G2.
