Hello,
I want to buy a keyboard for my Note Pro 12.2.
The Logitech Pro keyboard looks very nice but it is very expensive here in the UK, £110.
I also found a much less expensive keyboard for £30.
Did anyone buy the Logitech keyboard? Is it worth the price? Or should I go with the much cheaper one?
Here are the links of both:

I bought a generic chinese apple bluetooth keyboard knockoffand i can say it works like a charm. Comes to about 15$ in stores, and is sold under various brands...
Here's a picture, you can find it on ebay and other online retailers. The good thing about this keyboard is that it's the same width as the tablet.

So I can definately recommend this as a cheap alternative.
Expensive but the best there is.
Hi NeoXx
I bought my Note Pro 2 weeks ago from the UK and I also did some research like you for a good cover case for my SGNP.
I must say that I still haven't bought the keyboard cover that I want...Yet (I am saving for the Logitech one), So the Logitech recommendation is only based on my own research.
I am sorry to say that although the Logitech Pro is really expensive, i wouldn't compromise for any other keyboard case there is right now on the market.
For me, the generic bluetooth keyboard is absolutely not an option cause if I already put my money on product that I will want to use on a daily basis, I wouldn't waste it on a keyboard that isn't has the ability to be also the case for my tablet. It just doesn't look good and it isn't comfortable.
So what I did, for now, until I will buy the Logitech keyboard is to buy a simple (not that simple) cover that I highly recommend: The i-Blason Protective Cover.
It's a crazy strong hard cover which gives more weight to to the lite tablet and that gives you a better grip on it.
I can tell you that the material of this cover is very high quality so it looks great, very strong and also has some sort of shock absorbance. Plus, it has a good stand.
So, I thought maybe that could help cause it seems like we'er in the same situation (waiting for a good opportunity to buy the Logitech cover).
I hope you'll get a good buy
regards
Ray

i decided to purchase this for my transformer and i just got the case today. the price to me was pretty good, the quality of this carrying case or bag is great. i am not sure how many people just went for the tablet itself or intend to purchase it along with the docking keyboard. I plan on getting my tablet with the docking keyboard and from the looks of it right now, there should be enough room to fit them both inside this case nicely. i fit my tablet in there and there is still room to spare. there is also separate zipper compartment for other small accessories. flash drives, charging cables... etc. everything should fit fine. they also have a brown one available but that cost a few bucks extra, it might even match up with the transformer well. but i went for the black to save a few bucks and you can't really go wrong with black. while this is a bit thicker than just a plan sleeve, i feel it doesn't really show in this case. it looks slim for all the room it has. there are handles to make it easy to carry and even an additional/optional body strap included. i am sure this may not be for everyone but if it helps a few people, that would be great.

Glad to hear you like it. I plan to use it with the keyboard, so I'm looking forward to this case.
i bought the same one!
@OP
Thanks for sharing your experience with this product. I just ordered a brown one off Amazon; looks to me like it matches the brownish color hue of the Transformer & dock very well. I went for both so something that could cary and protect my investment safely.

Down to $13.22!
For the black version that is.
Could someone please confirm it that a TF101 with dock will fit this bag? As none of the posters had the dock or case to check it for real.

I have this case also and I can confirm that the docked Transformer fits. For the price it really is a nice case.
Just ordered the Logitech Bluetooth keyboard for Android and the STM Skinny Case.
Will let you know what I think after they arrive. If anyone else already has either, let us know what you think.

Edit:
The case is is listed as an official accessory in the Sony Store.

I like the look and feel of the case. It feels sturdy and and has a no slip surface. There is no velcro required or anything stuck to the tablet. The tablet just snaps into place. The only negative I have is that it won't sit in the cradle with the case on. It's really easy to remove the tablet from the case, so to me it's not that big of a deal.
Tested IR and it works fine. Have not tested DNLA because I don't currently use it.
Pictures of the case:

Hole for IR and what looks like the microphone.
Looks cool!
Shame is it not available in the UK
I just ordered the official one

I live in Singapore and they do not deliver to Singapore. I wonder who can help me to buy?
Recieved the Logitech keyboard today. The combo keyboard case/tablet stand works out nicely. The keyboard case has magnetic locks, but does not keep the keyboard from sliding out if upside down. It flips open to make a nice adjustable tablet stand. Although I won't need the stand since the STM case has a built in stand.
Bluetooth connection was a snap. I just pulled the battery connectors from the keyboard, searched for bluetooth devices on my Sony Tablet and typed the requested passcode on the keyboard.
Typed this response with the Logitech keyboard.
Will post reviews and pictures when I get the case.

Can you please address how the case impacts IR/DLNA functionality upon arrival? Your insight is appreciated, thanks.
Thanks for the update. Hmmmm... I wonder whether it can be demasked with some fabric cleaner and a brush.
Hello folks,
So recently I've noticed a lot of hesitation on these forums when it comes to purchasing accessories for our new Primes.
I'm here to speak for those of us who need instant gratification in order to feel that a product is satisfying enough to actual spend money on. I, like most people, need to go "hands on" before buying a product of any kind.
Anyway, without further adieu...

Now... keep in mind, this case was only $30. And I managed to discover it at a local Best Buy. Obviously, it's for the original Transformer. However, it works like a dream, containing it properly, without any room to slide around or malfunction.
It's an excellent case, with premium feel to it, and offers the functionality of a "kickstand" to provide exceptional viewing angles and comfort in your lap.
The port cutouts, ironically happen to match-up with the body of the Prime quite well.
As for the interior, the finish is a soft, suede material that is lining the entire surrounding area in which your tablet will rest.
All-in-all, I'm very happy with my purchase and find it to be a suitable alternative to housing protection until I can get my hands on the keyboard dock.
I hope this brief, off-topic (somewhat) review was helpful, to someone out there.
Ciao!

Very helpful!
Thanks for the post. Does the strap get in the way of the power button or volume buttons?

Just slightly, but it's a sacrifice that I'm willing to make because the case is great and affordable. Not to mention, it can be found in most Best Buy locations.
It's worth a shot if you're trying to find a case for basic transport that is also functional.

I ordered the same leather case but made for the transformer Prime from Amazon. I think it's out of stock now but mine has already been shipped.
Update: It's now back in stock

Not even close.
Has anyone thought of using an iPad Sock as a light case for their Transformer Prime?
I have checked the dimensions (10."x5.3" (stretchy)), and even though the Prime is a little longer than the iPad it looks like these socks will fit perfectly on the TF Prime.
I know, I know, these socks are intended for that other tablet but considering how cheaply they can be has on eBay and also considering that they come in nice colors I figured I would buy one and give it a try.
I had been considering the Transleeve, but I just can bear to spend $40 on something I know will suck and these looked like a nice alternative.
Anyway, these are all over eBay for next to nothing:

(p.s. I plan on cutting off that tag! )
I actually use two iPad cases for my transformer... one sock (fits snug, but works) and a neo pouch kinda thing.
They work just fine!

Does the iPad sock completely cover the Prime? From the specs I found for these socks it looks like they should be just about a perfect fit but it would be nice to have confirmation
Just got my first Pad Sock and it fits the Prime pretty well:
It was a little short so I had to stretch it out a bit (rolled it up, pulled it like taffy), but this looks like it will be the perfect alternative to the problematic Transleeve. Just FYI, my Prime is inside of the sock in the photo above.
Also, this sock didn't have an unfortunate tag that needed removing
All in all, not bad for about $4.
I use the case logic pls9 neoprene sleeve myself for just tablet sometimes and also tablet and dock. It is less than 20 from Amazon and fits perfectly. Just another option if interested.
I bought my tablet Z with a couple of docking stands for around the house but I didn't buy the case as I couldn't find anywhere on how well the two could work together.
I can't see how the tablet could be docked with the case on but has anyone got both and had a play, is it a fiddle?
I generally don't use cases, as I prefer the dock options but my previous tablet, the HP Touchpad you could do both if you so wished and as I've spent a boat load more than the £99 for the Touchpad I'm feeling I should get used to a case.
I'd spend the rather hefty cost for the case if they worked together nicely or I'll just buy a cheapy for when I'm travelling.
Thanks, Manic.

The bottom part of the official case flips out, so it looks like most other cases will not fit. Frameless cases have a better chance of working.

Poetic StrapBack Case will suit it perfectly.

Most of the carrying cases that are built by the company have a very smooth surface and texture thereby giving an exceptionally elegant look.
That one, are one of those elegant case.:good:
