I just purchased Verizon One Max phone and messed up sim reader pins. Is there anyway to fix this by self. I called htc and they told me it could cost between 130 to 300 bucks.

What I meant was that there r 6 pins that makes connection with sim card in the slot. I was using an adapter nano to micro and that adapter
When try to pull it out it broke those pin coz they got stuck on it. It's hard to take pic bcoz the damage is hard to see.

So I am pretty sure that the silver cover is snapped on there with metal tabs. Take the sticker off the sim holder and take a look. Maybe if you can get that off you will get a better idea?

I received a GSII i777 in trade today and I think the phone may be water damaged, and I can't find a sticker so I think it may have been removed. Does anyone have a back picture of their phone without the battery and case, and can you post it? Please white out your IEMI, no one wants to see that.
Gratzi.
I can't find one on my either. Unless it is this. But there is definitely one on the battery.

I thought they were internal.
I think if i remember correctly the actual sticker is inside the phone from watching the att galaxy s2 unboxing xda style video in the xda tv portal by adam outler. so you have to actually take the phone apart. hope this helps

That depends on the phone, my old Nokia had sticker right under the battery. And usually phones have more than 1, some of them are inside.
This is what I thought. The i9100 had an external sticker, so I was mildly confused. Looks like it is okay! However, it doesn't power up lol. Do you guys know how AT&T's return policy is? Can I just walk into the AT&T store and get a swap (I have an account, but I didn't buy this phone from them). Also, I don't have a data plan. I have been going through Samsung for tmobiles stuff since I don't have an account, so if I must go through them then I can.

I thought it was that dot too.
The iPhone puts it in the headphone jack. That dot is the only white spot under the battery cover, besides the sticker on the actual battery.
Sent from my Galaxy S II (i777)
Yes, that small white dot is indeed the moisture detection sticker. If you unscrew the back panel and gently lift up the back plate, you will see the entire sticker in that area. So even if someone bleached out the visible dot, AT&T could open it up and see the entirety of the sticker.
Just went through this a week ago on a friends phone.

And how i can remove the old sokket of micro sim (red color on the picture) ?

See the teardown and re-assembly video in the link below, the S3 looks easy to repair.

Wow, that guy makes it look pretty easy yeah I might try my hand at replacing the SIM card slot too, as i damaged it somewhat already (bad attempts at cutting a mini-SIM to micro-SIM )
According to the VIDEO I saw, remove the socket that, by knife (disposable) .. OK
And return the socket, just click and click and that's it? , No need glue?
Is this possible?
Thanks,
Tomer

Depends if the new socket has some sticky tape/glue on its backside, like the original. Otherwise you'll have to use some yourself..double-sided tape should do the trick.

i was inserting my nano sim into the phone with the use of sim adaptor to check my nano sim's text messages, after then i was removing the sim adaptor with the nano sim in it, it felt like it is stucked, i was forced to get it by pushing the sim going out through the use of a needle, after it was forcedly removed, looks like a pin or two bent outward, i was trying to return it back to place until 3 pins were suddenly cutted.
now shown on the left side of the picture is my s3, and on the right is my a picture of my friend's note 2.
my s3 was supposed to be like that on the note 2 that it still has 6 pins.
my phone won't read any sim now
how much does it cost to let this be repaired in samsung centre? i hope there's still part that is available, i think this part is called sim card holder flex, but not so sure though,
or is there any way i could fix this by myself? like by adding some pin-like material(the gold one) so that it would still be attached with the sim and allows the phone to read it?

Contact your local Samsung and ask them the price .

Not something you can fix yourself. Off to samsung service center it goes. Cost would depend on where you are.
If I remember rightly it is a fairly cheap repair, and I seem to remember seeing a YouTube tut on how to replace it, but I'm not certain on either of those points! (Age!)

Why the panic? Are you standing in a small boat?
What can you do? Either try to find a new port cover online, or send it in for repairs.

how exactly did that happen? By leaving the flaps open?? I'm struggling to see how you could do that.
Well I'm pretty sure Sony will tell you its a consumer part and will charge you for a replacement. There are some for sale, so you could just buy one.

yep, its a very tight fit. You either have to use a credit card or have long nails to be able to remove my device from my case

With my case (have started to merge a case for the QX attachement). I have to use fingernails to pull open the brackets that hold it in place. Didn't think about the covers coming off, just wanted to be careful.
Just bought a Sim Adapter from Amazon and it works fine with both sim and sdcard also it adjust with the Camera bump [emoji6]

Sarcasm? Really? It's very useful for work phone and personal phone. Don't have to carry 2 phones.

what i meant is this:
my device is Redmi Note 3 Pro SnapDragon 650 version or Kenzo
i'm using hard case for solid, not like clear case with soft tpu
look @ OP image, he didn't make hole for easy changing sim card, so i'm suggesting make a hole on his soft case (like mine) and using duck tape or something for finishing (preventing the sim card hanging out from case)

Sorry bro it felt like sarcasm to me great work by the way, but I simply stick the sim to the memory card and use it to keep the splash prrof intact.

But you don't need one ugly mess like that . Just don't use Micro SD instead use 2 sim cards.
