[Share] Xposed Modules you use - Xperia SP Themes and Apps

Hello fellow Xperia SP users!
I'm starting this thread so that we can inform each other of cool/useful Xposed modules that we use... and perhaps give each other some input on the proper usage of each module, or whether the module has been superseded by another, or...
Well, you get the general idea.
So, let me start by listing my modules and my reason for installing each:
Android Phone Vibrator -- mainly to make the phone vibrate when outgoing call is connected. Thus, I don't have to keep holding the phone against my ears while waiting for the destination to pick up the phone.
App Settings -- mainly to selectively allow automatic screen rotation for some apps.
BootManager -- to disable some apps from starting automatically on boot
Burnt Toast -- cosmetic addition; I like seeing the icon of the app that generates the toast
Complete Action Plus -- mainly to get the GB-style "tap to choose the app, check 'Always' to make it permanent" pop-up. It has an additional feature of being able to 'hide' apps I don't ever want to share with, and even sort the list.
ExpandableVolume -- adds a button on the volume 'toast', to allow setting of all settable volumes quickly
Greenify -- part of the Greenify Donation app
Performance Profile -- allows setting maxfreq/minfreq per app; thus apps that seem to drain my battery when being open, usually get their maxfreq lowered to 1.2 GHz (or lower) to help reduce battery usage
ReceiverStop -- to disable some apps from starting automatically on certain events
Ringer & Notification Volume Unlink in ICS/JB -- as the title says
SPDY -- this is a backport of KitKat's OkHttp module to ICS/JB. Not sure if it's effective, but doesn't hurt so far...
Swap Volume Keys -- when landscape, the Vol Up & Vol Down keys are swapped to make them more intuitive
SystemUI Patcher -- mainly to make the status bar transparent on the home screen ... see this thread for more info.
Tinted Status Bar -- to make the status bar auto-adapt to the app. It's a hit-and-miss situation, currently, but it makes my status bar less boring, so I'm keeping it. For now
Whatsapp Quiet Hours -- forces Whatsapp to be quiet during my sleep
XHaloFloatingWindow -- enables 'halo' floating window, similar to ParanoidAndroid
Xperia™ Xposed -- mods a lot of Xperia's SystemUI elements, bundled by eXistenZ Ultra
That's mine. What's yours?

I am currently using
tinted status bar: for make xperia more beautiful
App settings: Fixing memory management, works great with greenify, i Keep xperia home, music player and Chrome resident when I am using it, no force closes, When not using just greenify.

I am actually using :
- Gravity Box for the customisation
-xhaloFloatingWindow for the windows too
-Adaway to hide ads
-Greenify to stop some apps.
-SmoothProgressBar
-Swap Volume keys
Envoyé de mon C5303 en utilisant Tapatalk

What I'm using:
-ActivityForceNewTask: the name says it. I use it because I can close Quickpic and MXPlayer from the task switcher after opening a picture or video from a file browser.
-App Settings: change basic settings per app, like: change permissions, make it stay in memory, change the language of the app, change dpi, etc.
-Alternate App Picker: ICS and below-like default app choser.
-Burnt Toast: show app icon in toast notification.
-GravityBox: it provides a lot of customizations, very useful
-KitKat Toast Backport: KitKat-like toast notifications
-XBatteryThemer: Change the look of the battery icon on the statusbar
-Xperia MultiMiniapps: launch multiple miniapps on stock 4.1 (stock 4.3 has this feature by default)
-Xposed Preference Injector: Inject Xposed module preferences into Settings app

Not really, xposed modules modyfying files only

s is what i am using
Hey guys, these are the xposed modules i am using with reasons -
1) Xperia Xposed- it gives me many customization options, my settings are -
1. Navigation bar height - 42dp which belive me is perfect for this phone, 36dp is too small
2. Media settings which give me the option to switch tracks with volume button and turn it off with camera button
3. Power menu outings which give me more power menu options and i am using forced light theme which makes the power menu look colourful and beautiful
2) gem Xperia xposed- guys this is the most important module for any Xperia user as it give you the option to apply gradient per status and navigation bars, i personally don't like Corris home launcher and therefore i use translucent gradient to make my bars translucent
3) boot manager - i think it's purpose is very clear to all
4)YouTube adaway - this is a great module which makes it possible to remove the annoying YouTube ads at the starting of videos
5) [xad] - this is another great module that helps you to stop the annoying ads that are out up in many free apps to annoy us. -_-
6) Xperia dialer mods - this module helps us to record calls
7) android phone vibrator- it held to know if an outgoing call had been picked up by the reciever by giving a small vibration and many other useful features too

[Q] Customizing the MotoBlur ICS

Hi all,
I have several other Android devices at home, all of them runing CM7 or CM9. While I appreciate some of the things the Motorola ROM (GSM here) delivers, I'm missing quite a bit as well:
- grid size on home screen - having 3 widgets fills out completely a screen; I'm looking for a 50% or 100% increase in rows and columns. DPI changer is not able to provide that
- battery reporting is only done in 10% increments; I'm using Circle Battery Widget as a workaround
- no way to toggle 2G/3G with a switch. Using notification toggle because I cannot live without status bar toggles
- provider name is too long in the status bar
- no way to tweak auto light levels
- lock screen does not display any info about missed calls or messages
- notification led does not have any settings
- cannot assign custom shortcuts or wakeups - like pressing both volume buttons to open camera from lock
- no way to change the number of screens in home
- widgets do not get updated after an install, I need to kill the launcher first
- stock gallery looks really sad and performs slowly on zoom
- there is no "charge only" option beneath the usb/mtp/ptp
- no color themes for home screen, so I can use darker colors for power saving
- no themes for email widget, same reason
- email widget uses a lot of power (partial wake) even though the accounts are set to sync once per hour
- I don't see any way to take HDRs with the stock camera app. I thought this was default in ICS
- cannot use any other external sound equalizer - tried mostly with DSPManager
- stock music app does not wake on bluetooth control; if it's paused for more than 30 seconds I need to open it again to be able to resume music
- stock equalizer messes up the volume of the music pretty bad and it compresses the sound
- cannot assign a long press on the back button to kill the current app
On the other hand there are some new custom features which I really like, like the 'disable' application button, smart actions, detailed data usage and data limits, disabling background data, ...
So my question is, how can I enable some of the stuff above without losing a lot of battery life, money or UI integration (I'm thinking metro-like simplistic looks).
I'm also missing the option to disable individual permissions for apps, but the "disable background data" built-in feature fulfills 80% of this. I would have loved to be able to disable location awareness for some apps.
Right now the biggest gripe is the 10% step on battery reporting, I cannot get accurate battery stats. Still, that part is in part filled by BetterBatteryStats.

Everything I have tried so far has worked on my G Pad. Now my tablet and phone have the exact same setup, which is kind of nice for consistency between the devices. Has anyone tried this module along with XBlast Tools? I don't have XBLast Tools yet since I'm not sure if it plays nice with G2 Xposed. I would really like to change the notification bar icon colors.
Not working, app_process can't be installed, even after several reboots.

Go through the process again. You are the only one who has had issues. Install xposed (remove and install again), activate the module in the xposed app and then customize away
I confirm, this works great on my gpad as well as my g2
Working great here. This'll do until custom roms arrive.

FYI, G2 Xposed is now opened up for the G Pad in the Play Store, so you can download it directly from there. The OP might want to update the top post to reflect this.

F.A.Q:
Q: I installed the your App, but nothing happen after reboot?!
A: Make sure you have:
Xposed framework is installed and up to date (install it through Xposed Installer App)
Enabled my App on the Xposed modules list
Q: I tried to install your App, but i'm getting a bad parsing error!
A: Because you are NOT running the required Android version 4.4+.
Q: Does this Application requires Root access?
A: No! Root is required only for Xposed framework installation.
Q: I start the screen recording but how to stop it? i get a broken video files!
A: You MUST have Busybox installed, and expand your notifications (XSense feature) to get the Stop ticker on the notification bar.
Q: Call recording is NOT working or i'm getting a bad recorded sound! PLZ fix it!!!
A: Nothing to fix from my side, it depends on your device/Rom, and you need to use a Headset in this case, it IS a Stock feature and this IS a stock bug.
Q: Why don't you make my changes applied on the fly? why do i need to Reboot?
A: Because i care about performance, applying a feature change on the fly means the related stock Method MUST be hooked on boot, which means all impacted (by my module) System Methods should be hooked on boot even if most of them are NOT used.
Q: I'm getting a boot-loop!
A: Flash Xposed disabler patch (you will find it on your sdcard) through CWM recovery
Q: Does changes persist after uninstalling the Application?
A: No!
First?
This looks promising!

I forgot to mention that, Busybox is required to stop it.

I do have busybox installed but I see no way to end the screen record in the notification bar. Am I missing something else? I'm stock rooted with minimal mods outside of sense toolbox and GB.

Your recording notification must be expanded if you have any other active notification.

I just toggled the option on and off and it works. Thanks a lot for the work.
Where does call recording save to?

I'll give it a shot next time I get a call and post the Xposed logs. Are there any known incompatibilities with the Sense 5 Tool Box?

I was wondering the same thing. During a call, when I tried to activate the call recorder, as far as I could see there was no reaction. Afterward I looked through the sd card for a file or a directory that could have been saved, but found nothing.

I have tried now to record a call twice. No such directories were created on my sdcard (My Documents/My Recordings). Perhaps I am doing something wrong. Could it be that there are regional restrictions on phone recording?

I have attached the Xposed error.log. There was no "recording started" notification. I selected start recording and nothing happened. I am running stock sense 5.5 rooted if that makes a difference.

Ah ok, then i think the module did what it can do, actually the only thing this app does is to enable the record button, what happens after pressing the button is a pure stock Htc feature, if you aren't getting any notification then i guess it's a stock bug, can you upload your logcat?
By the way i noticed that Lock screen carrier label mod isn't compatible with your Sense 5.5, can you upload a deodexed Htc locksreen apk?

[MOD] All My... (Xposed tweaks for CM/AOSP/TW)

Collection of various tweaks for CyanogenMod/AOSP/TouchWiz and few apps (Firefox, Adobe Reader, MX Player). This module currently offers over 20 tweaks. All the tweaks were previously available as standalone modules. I enable most of them on all of my devices. Because of that and the increased number of tweaks, it no longer makes sense to offer them separately.
List of tweaks:
Disable Su Indicator - Disable # (pound/hash) indicator in status bar
Always Software Menu - Allows to have both software menu button and menu mapped to key on CM. Workaround for this.
No Toast Icons
Pocket First - Make Pocket the first option when sharing
Desk Clock Alarm - Make Alarm the default tab in stock/Google Desk Clock
One Way Brightness - Make auto brightness go only up
Battery Light Disabler - Battery light will not shine when in downtime (Interruptions) or when the screen is on
One Hand Zoom Enabler (Firefox/Adobe Reader)
Battery History XXL - Enlarge the stock settings battery history - from 10 to 30 records
Native Freezer - Disable and re-enable any 3rd party app from System Settings
Minimum Brightness (MX Player/system) - Change the minimum brightness level from usual 10 to 1
Gentle Haptic Feedback
Compact Volume Panel
Chrome Tabs Toolbar On Phone - Enable tablet layout while keep mobile User Agent
Disable Horizontal Scroll (Adobe Reader)
Remap PREV button to PLAY/PAUSE - Allow use volume keys to change volume, advance to next song and play/pause
Remap NEXT button to Torch - Allow use volume up key (long press) to start flashlight (when music is off)
K920 Cardboard Fix - Fix screen resolution in Google Cardboard on Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro (K920)
No Wake On Charge - Disable screen wake when cable is plugged in/unplugged on Samsung Galaxy S5 (stock Android 5.0)
Reader Mode (Adapt Display) - Enable Samsung screen ebook reading mode for Adobe Reader/Moon+ Reader on Samsung Galaxy S5 (stock Android 5.0)
Disable Android Wear Disconnected Notification
Media Stream Default - Prefer media instead of ringer during volume control
Advanced Volume Keys - Long press VOLUME -/+ for PLAY_PAUSE/NEXT when screen is off or showing lock screen
No Password After Boot - Disable the "Unable to use fingerprints. Device restarted. Enter backup password, then fingerprints can be used next time device locked." message
Touch key light - Re-enable the lost option to set buttons light timeout (Samsung Galaxy S7)
sRGB for video only - Switch to sRGB (Basic screen mode) for video (MX Player/YouTube) while keeping Adaptive for everything else (Samsung Galaxy S7)
MTP Without Unlock - Start MTP even with screen off or without unlocking unsecure keyguard (Samsung Galaxy S5/S7)
Allow MTP Access - Get rid of the "Allow access to device data" dialog (Samsung Galaxy S7)
Disable Battery Prediction - Hide the estimated battery usage in battery graph
Detailed Battery Usage - Enable detailed 'Wi-Fi/Awake/Screen on' battery usage stats
NEW! No Gboard Bar - Disable the top bar in Google's Gboard keyboard
NEW! Keep LED off during DnD (Samsung Galaxy S7)

Will the minimum brightness app have a min brightness setting? I have an IPS screen on my lg g4. Will this lower my actual brightness? I use my phone at night and the minimum brightness is too bright. I've tried screen filters but I would prefer an app that actually lowers the brightness past stock.

Since there's actual UI, I will probably eventually add such option... But please be aware that it's still the same feature that GravityBox already offers (so if GB doesn't break anything for you, you can use it already).
Minimum brightness is not working in my device. What system apps and/or framework files from my ROM would you need me to send to you to fix it? It's a stock ROM, Android 5.1.1, my phone is a BQ Aquaris M5.
Thanks!
thank you for this nice module (and your old ones it replaced for me)
would you please be so kind as to include changelogs in the play store? I kinda hate getting updates but having no idea what it changed until i dig in the app for something that looks new
Thanks for this great module I was using some seperate modules from you but one big module is always nice. I can confirm Always Software Menu works on my S5 running CM13. Battery history xxl was working on CM12.1 and I even think it worked on CM13 Unofficial alpha version but on newer CM13 versions it doesn't works anymore. Is it possible to port it over to CM13 one day? And in the past the separate module disable toast icons didn't do anything on my S5 running CM13 for example when I'm in Root Explorer and enable R/W the root message appeared with the SuperSu icon but since 2 days I use the separate module from you NoToastIcons.v0.1-disable-all and that works great no toast icons anymore. I didn't try No toast icons from the All my... module.
Thanks for your great works.

The "No Toast Icons" tweak in this module disables icons in all toasts so it should work for you as well.
Few trivial tweaks already work with CM13 but the rest requires me actually flashing CM13 ROM - which I will do in the upcoming days or weeks on my S5.

It may not work on all devices (because of differences in display drivers/settings etc) plus it probably doesn't lower the minimum brightness when adaptive (automatic) brightness is used (though i didn't investigate that much...).
Great job with the one hand firefox enabler. I can now finally stick exclusively to firefox. Thanks!

I keep adaptive brightness disabled most of the time. If there's anything I can do to help making it work in more devices, you tell me.
Latest version 0.1.3 adds "Chrome Tabs Toolbar On Phone". Normally you could lower your DPI (system wide or per app if that's an option) to get the tabs toolbar in Chrome (that could however make the UI too tiny). The better option is to use "Screen (dp)" option in App Settings which get's the job done just right. This tweak reuses the same hacks to get the tablet layout with tabs in Chrome while it adds one important change - it changes the User Agent back from "tablet" to "phone" so you still get the mobile/phone version of various sites instead of the full featured tablet/desktop ones.

Version 0.2 should make all the tweaks compatible with CM13/Android 6.0. If there's any issue, let me know (I didn't check against clean AOSP).
Native Freezer - because there's no longer dedicated disable button on MM, I use the Force Stop button.
Battery History XXL - it works and as usual it not only makes the list longer but also unhides some normally hidden records (when they do not pass some threshold).
I also added one more tweak for Adobe Reader - "Disable Horizontal Scroll". Adobe Reader doesn't provide any feature for cropping white space so this helps me tremendously (after I double tap to the main content). (I'm still sticking to Adobe cause it's still the fastest though I probably could use the cropping in Xodo.)
Hey. I sit on the CM 13. I want to ask you to do, led to work if the battery charge is low, but when connected to a power source - did not work (not displayed, it is charged or charge).
Here comes another tweak in version 0.2.1: "Remap PREV button to PLAY/PAUSE" (PREV = long volume down press) which allows to use volume keys to change volume, advance to next song and play/pause. The "Playback control" needs to be enabled in system Settings (CM).
I have few more volume buttons related hacks in mind... :fingers-crossed:

Well, the current tweak handles the LED based on priority so I'm not sure about your question (really it can't be set in settings?).
Hey there
Im running cm12 since 6 months and i really appreciate you work
Specially native freezer
Im wondering did you made or plan to make a mod to replace recent menu action in navigation bar ?
By default short press bring recent and long press for last app
I hope i you can reverse it to be short press for previous app and long press for recent menu

Tips for anyone wanting to use their Note 8 in full screen - NO status or nav bar

I've been using AOSP roms on various phones for quite some time and have gotten hooked on using my phone in full screen while using PIE to navigate. Especially on a large phone i find this so so so much easier. Here are some tips i found out through trial and error to what i've found is an awesome experience. I'm using a rooted NF50F which makes doing this easier, though it still can be accomplished unrooted
1. To navigate around your phone use the best Pie application out there imo which is supported on these forums as well LMT
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150
this app is so great because of how you can customize it. there are other non root alternatives in the play store but this is the best imo if you have root.
2. fully hide the navigation bar so it never pops up - this is the only way you can use LMT on the bottom of your phone which is excellent for one handed browsing. to do this you need to add the following line to the build.prop and the nav bar is gone forever even after reboots
qemu.hw.mainkeys=1
add this line to the bottom of your build prop and save. if you ever want the keys back change the number to 0.
3. use the app SystemUI Tuner to hide the status bar. go under the immersive mode tab and select status bar. Note - you can also hide the nav bar with this app, but it is not fully hidden as it still appears with any upward swipe.
4. I turn edge lighting on so i see notifications when my phone is on. i don't want the entire message shown on my screen so edge lighting works great for me and is a great feature of this phone. you can even get edge lighting working with gmail. i also use textra pro for texting.
there are different ways to make your phone truly immersive including Xposed but if you don't want to used Xposed this is the best solution IMO.
other recommended apps:
Light Flow - to customize your led notification light
bx actions - https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...-bxactions-remap-bixby-button-double-t3673372
material notification shade - can auto expand all notifications and get dark notifications
autonotifications - you can add more buttons to gmail like mark as read, spam, etc
