What is the function of the switch under the SD card cover? It is in the RED position and appears to be OFF. Didnt see any reference to it in my docs.
Any ideas?

It doesn't mess with your data. It just cuts the power, so it wouldn't do much harm if you did.

I did this and heard a beep sound when I released the buttions. I checked in the Gallery but unable to find the Screenshots images there.
My phone is not rooted currently, is that the reason or it stores the images outside gallery?

It should make the shutter sound, and there will be an icon in statusbar if it worked.

Worked this time, yay! Thanks a lot bud. It was my bad I guess. I wasn't pressing both the buttons at the same time. I think I was pressing Volumn Down and then the Power button.
Thanks again and have a good one
When I press the Power button to put the phone on standby and then again to turn the phone on again minutes later, pressing the App Drawer icon doesn't load any of my apps until I press the Recent Apps button. Anybody else notice this problem?

stock, non-rooted
I haven't noticed that bug, but I did have a keyboard glitch. I am also Not Rooted and 100% stock. I just did a factory reset on my phone and all the issues went away, except the Prox sensor while on a phone call doesnt work correctly

you can wipe the cache partition from the stock recovery that is on your phone. power the phone off, hold vol down then press and release power. this will take you to the bootloader. press vol down once to highlight recovery then press power. when you see the red triangle, press vol up & power at the same time. when you see the android system recovery menu, press vol down until wipe cache partition is highlighted and then press power. when that is finished press power with reboot system now highlighted. hope this helps

Yes. This is happening to me on MeanBean ROM .3 S-OFF. Thought I needed to re-flash or that it was ROM related. Sucks that this happening in the stock version as well.
No problems with the app drawer for me. I'm on MeanBean .3.
Also, my proximity sensor is working properly also. I remember when the last update came out a lot of people had problems with the proximity sensor not working properly also. Must be a hardware bug on some phones.

With the tap to wake feature, I only use the power button to manually put it to sleep, so minimal interaction with the buttons here too.

I use tap to wake and tap to sleep and I never use the volume keys either so count me in as another who never uses any of the buttons on the back.
Everyday I have to delete screenshots that I've taken by mistake when hitting the power button and the volume key. Is there anyway to disable this?
Not that I know of...
Erm... Train your fingers to not press the buttons accidentally...

LOL hahahahaha. That's funny. Also try turning off the knuckle gestures in accessibility settings.
Happens to me also from time to time but I choose the 128gb version so it takes a while until it has bad impact on my phone storage
