As we see that there is big list of android apps for the particular thing and activity. How can one identify the mistakes made by the android app developer that even a Lehman can understand who generally use the Android phone and don't well acquainted with core technical stuff

Hi, I am a student studying software engineering and this is my 3rd year and i am required to find a topic/subject for the undergraduate project to propose for lecturer. later it will be developed for real but i need to do the presentation first to obtain the lecturer's interest.
so anyone have any idea for apps or systems in mind that involving of using Android device? most students are doing web development or robotic kind of topic, but i wanted to do something for Android. the system must not be too simple, but also not too complicated for me to develop in the future but have a powerful output/results which help people doing things/works in everyday life.
and also some lecturers requires it to have Artificical Intelligence feature/type in a system.
and if you do know while suggesting, please do include what coding/programming language and what other knowledge(graphics/physics/etc) would be used in those systems.
I'm using SGS2, and prefer to make it working for hdpi device first cuz i can test it
Thanks!
Is it Good services or not to compare other software’s services.
What do you mean to say ?
Answer:
Hey friend, first thing to understand is that, every software and application is different and needs different sets of codings for the development. Secondly, suppose you want to develop a JAVA software application for which you cannot use the codings for Android applications, they may be completely differ or may very less similar in some cases.
So, comparing android application development services to other softwares is something not possible.
I want to develop a new sms application for Android that suits my needs without all the extra stuff I don't need..
But where do I start, and is it difficult to get it done?
Questions should be asked in Q&A forums, not Development forums.
Thread moved.

As a concept it shouldn't be ultra hard to develop, but it all depends how complex you want this sms application to be. As far as how hard it would be to develop such a application depends on your programming expertise. If you have never programmed anything before it's still manageable but it would take a lot of time and effort. Still take a look at some of these links that can hopefully get you started.

Good luck
Tasker (when run on GB or later) now comes with App factory, which allows you to conver tasker projects to Apps (no copyright problems... tasker allows you to do whatever you want with those created Apps, just mention tasker in your credits).
Seems like one of the easier options to me for developing simple applications for someone starting completely from scratch.
(I'm not a developer, take it fwiw).
Hello
I have recently completed Android (Beginners) course on Udacity and have learned how to create simple stand-alone apps. However, I want to design a simple android app that briefly does the following:
1- Asks the user to login/signup
2- User is shown an Image of the area (like Google Maps)
3- When user taps any part of the image, other users who are nearby are given a notification.
Hence, I am now confused about what to do next? I intend to learn the required topics on my own, but I don't know where to start and what topics to learn.
I have great programming experience, and am familiar with Java too.

Hello, I am the developer of PutMask and PutEmoji apps. Unfortunately, due to a problem I had, I could not publish the apps with my own identity, so I used the identities of my friends. The problem still persists, but the added problem is that my connection with my contact, whose identity the app was released with, is also being disconnected. This problem has caused even me not to put time for development app because I am not sure what is going to happen to it. I talked to many people and tried every way I could think of, but I got nowhere. That's why I said to raise it here, maybe I could get help. The PutMask app is designed to blur the faces in the video and the PutEmoji app does almost the same thing, but you can put your desired images on the faces. If there are special conditions for your help, I will be happy to discuss them with me. I would also like to point out that because the core of these apps uses cross-platform libraries, designing these apps for other operating systems such as Windows and iOS will not be difficult. As one of the next steps, I considered that maybe you can help me in this matter as well.
XDA for PutMask.
