i have a galaxy s3 i9300 currently on stock 4.3 with nb6 build.
i want to root my device and flash a cutom rom on it.
i have tried saferoot but i keep getting this error:
"Your kernel is patched!
This device is not supported."
i need a working way to root. any help would be great.
just lead me to the path and i will continue.

Go read the sticky thread in general forum.
You are missing all the basic information and may brick your phone, you don't need root to flash.

hello everyone, i really need help in rooting and flashing custom roms in my galaxy s2 i9100g. the problem is that i cant find proper custom roms for my phone. i am capable of rooting my phone, its just a matter of finding the insecure kernel and flashing it then using superoneclick and then flashing the original kernel back in. but what would i benefit if i cant install custom roms. by the way. to install roms i need clockworkmod recovery right? please some1 help me i really want to do this and experience the full power of android
Thanks in advance =)
What you would benefit if you can't install custom roms? I you can't root your device with those guides that is here I suggest you to not root. You will probably end up bricking your phone.
And btw, searching google for it shows even more sites with guides..did you put any effort at all in trying to find out yourself or are you just lazy?

Cool story bro,...changed my life forever
Seems to me you already know how to root? Now are you asking for custom ROM for i9100g?
You can try CM first.

And I found you posted in the wrong forum. The following forum is for i9100g. Go dig there is better.

[Q] Root a I9300 XXEMF1

Hi there,
I have a question that may seem silly since I am using an S2 for almost a full year, so here it goes:
I am now in the possession of a S3 GT-I9300 and I would like to root it. The firmware model can be seen in the attached print-screen.
Q1: Is there a way to root it from SD, without needing to use CF-Root and Odin (I have found this file CF-Auto-Root-m0-m0xx-gti9300.zip but i don't know if it's the right way to proceed as I have rooted directly from stock recovery on my S2)
Q2: I have been reading and there are devices with locked bootloader and others with unlocked bootloaders, and it seems that if you flash one for the other you will probably brick the device. Is there any way to tell what kind of bootloader you have?
Thank you and sorry if my questions seem trivial to you,
Doru

1. There maybe some flash zips that auto-roots your phone without using odin but CF-Auto root is one of the safest way to root.
2. The international model (GT-I9300) is always bootloader unlocked. The root will not damage any part of your bootloader but if you brick your device then i'm 100% sure that you flashed the wrong file. If you want to know what version of bootloader you have then download the app called Android System Info on Google Play.
baseband version or build number is important in this rooting process ? i have gti9300 ,on 4.1.2 and

It doesn't matter what baseband you have. It has nothing to do with the rooting process.

[Q] root s2 i777 4.1.2

hey you guys i have a s2 i777and it is running on 4.1.2 and i was looking for a root solution for this ..i want to permantly root it so i can flash roms can you help?
Did you even search the forum?
Maybe thats the reason no one has answered yet.
To root, use Framaroot with the Aragorn exploit.
You will need to install a custom kernel containing recovery. AJK v4.9 NoSwap is the one you need for stock 4.1.2. Search the forum for instructions to install that, or look at the guide available in the forum.
Ask any questions for anything you don't understand. Happy flashing.

Help with root

Hello everybody,
I'm totaly new with the root thing. I tried already to root my Samsung Galaxy S2 and even though root checker says that my device is rooted I can't unistall some system apps (blootware I think, or something like this ) that I don't need.
Is it possible someone to give me an advice? I will try to root my phone again but I have some questions:
What is the best root method?
Which kernel must I use?
And which custom ROM do you suggest?
My phone:
Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100
PDA: I9100XWLSD
Android: 4.1.2
Thank you in advance

1) There is no best root method, they all work. Stickied threads in General and at the top of Q&A have all the info you need, we're not regurgitating this stuff for every n00b who asks when it's already been done thousands of times before since the phone has been released & we have stickied threads specifically for this purpose.
2) Which kernel you use depends on the root method. Read the method as many times as you need to until you understand it, then follow it. Doing before understanding will lead to a broken phone.
3) Rom recommendations are forbidden here, go to the two development sections once you've rooted your phone, read some threads, try some roms (make sure you do a nandroid backup in CWM before you start; What's a nandroid backup ? Search).

Help with Rooting my S3

Hi to you all.
I have recently updated my stock international S III to the latest 4.3 build (JSS15J.I9300XXUGNJA5).
Now I'm seeking how to root it so I can install one of the many roms available on the forum, but the Unified Tool Kit no longer roots our device and Framaroot or Saferoot also don't do the job.
How can I root it?
Thanks in advance
Read the guides in general forum sticky threads.
You don't need root to install custom roms.
