Simply append "GWatchSystem" after bit.ly

Everybody is welcome to do that, I can't do that though.
Anyways, Google Apps might not work, since it's here and there are Services in there, Google might have already disabled those. LG will surely work normally since no activation process is going on.

Link works for me, is this your device that you dumped from?
Im curious what the bootloader version is, if you had it you can simply do
Code:
adb shell getprop ro.boot.bootloader

I am sorry, but that was not my device.
Possibly, since the device is now out in hands of developers, we'll see awesome new things coming up. And a latest dump too, probably.

Have you recieved an update yet?
We don't have a dump of KMV78N (which seems to be the rom it ships with),
the watch faces are likely in the apks.
All you need to do is turn on adb and dump /system with it.
Mine has KKV51 loaded on it... I assume this is newer than this image?
edit: I got a zip of /system uploading, going to post in the other thread.

Someone posted a link called Release: Deodex'ed System. - xda-developers.
When you click on it, it takes you to something totally unrelated.
I would like to figure out what happened to the posting, can we get the link back? If not, I am reposting the file - obviously taking no credit for creating. If someone can somehow recreate directions on how to do this, would be great. It was wasnt an install zip file from CWM - it was pushing files through ADB to the /system folder. From what I remember, there are 2 folders, you need to rm: framework and rm: system/app and replace with these???
I posted it, but there was a failed maintanance of xda that caused them to use a 24 hour old backup, therefore my thread was deleted. I will repost it soon, theming something at the moment, but will look for a clockwork update script that will make the flashing a lot easier than using adb and shell commands.
Thought I was losing it when I couldn't find that post again. Wow I'm not going mad. Spent 45 min looking in different forums though I swore it was here.

Thanks a bunch! I could not figure out WTF. Yeah, a CWM one would be fantastic.
Out of curiosity, you removed VVM...in the done_app folder there are a bunch of .apk's. Can I simply add the VVMService.apk and VisualVoiceMail.apk through Astro, or do they have to be pushed?
Thanks

When I applied it the ROM the first time, it removed VVM, and I could not reapply - kept getting a parsing error
Are you gonna repost the Deodexed rom with DI01 soon? Just wondering if you were gonna still post it. Thanks!

I don't use it, but he is a screenshot of both deodex apps installed
http://twitpic.com/2sjznq
Just give me some time to release the updated deodex files and they should work.
Great man! Definitely can't wait to get my hands on it. Hoping that using that rom I will be able to use the default Google Car Dock app on it. Right now the Google one has issues, and once you push it to /system/app and reboot the phone just starts endlessly ringing until you delete the app and reboot. Keep up the great work man!
gotta get my fix (well, sorta)! find it here...

Optimus L9 APK Push Tool!!
First, all credit goes to kevev for putting this all together, and saving me from pulling my hair out
Instructions via kevev readme!
This script will automatically push apk files along with a shell script to your device
under /mnt/sdcard/external_sd/APKs. It will then run the shell script which will copy
the apk files to /system/app/ and change the file permissions to 644.
No warranty included!!
Use at your own risk!!
1.) Place all apk files in the "APKs" folder that you want installed in the /system/app/ folder on your rooted device.
2.) Connect device to your computer after installing the correct adb drivers.
3.) Enable "USB Debugging" on the device and wait for the driver to install.
4.) Run "PushAPKs.bat" and reboot your device when it finishes only if there are "NO" errors.

I guess everything could have been done from the batch script. It was just starting to look messy and I am more comfortable with shell.
To tell the truth, I am very rusty with batch scripting. I haven't messed with DOS in ages. Unix all the way!

Hello XDA Members.
I would like to know how to convert a non-installable system apk into normal installable apk.
Example:
Let's say that test.apk is a system app.
If I take it to another device and try to install it, it will say app not installed, but if I put it in /system/app and chmod 0644 it, it simply works.
So what I want to know is:
How can I make test.apk install normally same as any other apk file
Regards,

after deodex the app it will work
There are a few different ways. The main issue being that it has to be signed to be able to install it in/data/app. Easiest way on the phone is this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kellinwood.zipsigner2
On the computer, there are a few different signing tools. Not entirely sure if it matters what SDK platform you are on as it has been awhile since I have played with apps like that.

when i deodexed the app and sign it it was working
@es0tericcha0s
I signed it right now and removed it from /system/app so I can try it, it installed!
But didn't work.
The apk is a close all button from Xperia Z2, I extracted it and deodexed it and I was able to get it to work when it's in /system/app but after I signed it, it installs but it doesn't appear in the recent apps list, as if it wasn't installed.
So I want it to be installable.

If it installed, then it's SOMEWHERE... Try this: Use a root explorer to browse through /data/app and see if you see it there. Sometime if the app isn't working right or has the wrong permissions, it'll install but can't see it. Which tool did you use to sign?

The app from play store that you suggested.
Edit:
It is in /data/app with rw-r--r-- permissions so it should work.
I attached the apk just in case if you want to check some things.
Edit 2:
The SystemUI.apk has this line in the AndroidManifest.xml:
Code:
<permission android:name="com.sonymobile.permission.TASK_SWITCHER_PLUGIN_VIEW" android:protectionLevel="signatureOrSystem" />
and this one is in the TaskKiller.apk's AndroidManifest.xml:
Code:
<uses-permission android:name="com.sonymobile.permission.TASK_SWITCHER_PLUGIN_VIEW" />
the TaskKiller is asking for permission from SystemUI instead of framework-res, idk why.
I'm thinking that this has to be a system app and tied to SystemUI to function properly. It doesn't seem to have it's own interface which is why no open option when installed and no icon showing.

Exactly, but the old apk from the Japanese Z1 is installable.
Does resigning affect that much that it stops working?
Could somebody provide me with the default "media_profiles.xml" from their /system/etc path? I did something and now things aren't working well.. I was also stupid and forgot to back up my original.
I believe
Code:
adb push media_profiles.xml /system/etc
should work on restoring the file once I have it, right?
Also, on an "unrelated" note, the camera mod from THIS thread doesn't work on our phones.
