Sygic over bluetooth issue - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi I know this is not really and S3 issue but trying to find some help,
I'm experiencing strange problem with my sygic and bluetooth headset. All is fine from start, but after a while the audio stops working, pretty annoying when ridding a motorbike with phone in your pocket. Have tried with 3 different bluetooth receivers, ford mondeo mk7 2012, LG HBS700 and schuberth c3 pro src (motorcycle helmet intercom). Using Samsung Galaxy S3 with several different ROM's including stock, 4.4.2 all I could think of.
It seems to be related to the distance, I know it makes little sense, but the audio drops out at same place when I drive from work, or just run the demonstration 400/800% faster. I've tried other routes to be sure, so its not same point on a map.
Any idea? Would be greatly appreciated.
Btw. Just tried CoPilot in the morning and all worked well the whole way (80miles ish)
Regards,
Jan

Bluetooth Crackle/Pop Issue

Ive had the Galaxy S I9100 for 2months and its fantastic. I upgraded from a Desire HD running CM7. I use Bluetooth InCar Audio over PowerAmp.
Ive never had any problems with devices paired to my Sony Headunit over bluetooth (Iphone 3gs/Iphone4/DHD)
Now since ive been using the I9100 ive been having alot of audio problems over Bluetooth ONLY. Ive tryed diffrent players (Winamp/Google Music) all to no avail.
Ive ruled out my Headunit because CD's and other phones work flawlessly.
I flashed to flashed to Villain ROM 1.1 yesterday and still having the same issue.
Any help would be appreciated as its awful listening to Vocal's with Pops and crackles as you can imagine.
Thanks Nathan
Just installed villain tweaks and found bluetooth improvement fix. if this works i will jump for joy...
Still no Joy. This is getting really annoying. Does anybody have the same problem as this is a serious flaw if other people do. Any help??

[Q][CM10][CM9][Bluetooth] Bluetooth headset not working on CM9/10 , but on stock

Hi there,
my bluetooth headset (Plantronics voyager hd pro) is not working with my i9300 running on CM9stable or CM10nightly. It connects, but when I stream music, the connection is interrupted every 2 sec. When I do voicecalls, the sound quality is a real torture.
The headset works flawlessly when I run stock rom or on my old i9000/Cm9.
Does this look like a hardware deficiency on my i9300 ?
I still can return the phone though.
Thanks for your thoughts
Its always kind of been a problem with Bluetooth working with CM10. they are looking into finding a fix though.
yeah, well, what worries me is that cm9 is not working either, which is supposed to be working
I guess I am gonna return it ...

[Q] Bluetooth Streaming Issue

Hi, I am having issues with bluetooth music streaming with this phone. I have a Tunelink dongle in my car which works perfectly fine with my GS2. However with OG I get very noticeable background noise and music skips every 15-20 seconds which is the worst part. I have not tested this with another BT device yet, but was wondering if anyone had a similar issue?
I'm getting this same issue with my tunelink. I have the Sprint variant..
Could it be that tunelink isn't working properly? Have you tried any other bluetooth devices?
Mine works perfectly streaming into my car's factory audio system with bluetooth.....
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda app-developers app
Since the OP's problem is the same, since he has tunelink.. It might because of the receiver. Has anyone else tested this phone's bluetooth with another receiver? belkin's?

Same here. Works better than my old GS2 with my Clarion deck. It also works great with my wife's Bose Soundlink speaker.
I am pretty sure its a compatibility issue with tunelink. I got myself a gogroove smartmini and it works great. Tunelink works fine with my gs2 and wife's HTC, though.

What version of Bluetooth does Tunelink use? Maybe it's an older version (like 1.0) that the OG doesn't support.
I just got a email back from TuneLink
Hi Josh
Unfortunately we don't have an Optimus G to test with. I looked up the specs and it says that it runs Android version 4.0.4 with a planned upgrade to 4.1.2. What I know is that we did experience difficulties with Bluetooth on early versions of the Android 4.0 series but for the most part, they appeared to be fixed with 4.0.4 but I can't say that that's true for all Android devices as the Bluetooth hardware differs from device to device. The one thing they all have in common is that all Android Bluetooth drivers need to be able to integrate with the BlueZ Bluetooth protocol stack of the kernel. That said, if the audio is skipping, maybe try closing all unused apps to free up resources and see if that makes a difference. If you're streaming over the internet, try playing music locally. If possible try it with another A2DP Bluetooth device. I will put the word out around here and see if we can get an Optimus G to test as well. I would also send an email to LG's support and ask them if they have any known issues with A2DP. Note that if your TuneLink has firmware version 1.2.0 or greater then it supports Bluetooth version 4.0 minus the low power option. Prior versions support Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR. Also we only support the SBC codec.
Thanks
Mark

I just installed a Pioneer Car Stereo with Parrot bluetooth and I noticed noise, pops, hisses and complete music skips with an AT&T LG OG but streaming from a Nokia Lumia 920 to the same radio was fine and dandy. I think the issue is the phone.

Galaxy Nexus (4.2.2) Bluetooth not working with my car!

Hi everyone,
I own a Chevy Camaro SS 2012 that has Bluetooth handsfree built in. Works like a charm with my friends LG phone with Android, as well as with my company iPhone 4S.
But with my Samsung Galaxy Nexus running native Android 4.2.2 it will pair just fine, but I am only able to hear the sound and use the mic in the car, but not engage any functions nor access the contacts list. So I cannot answer calls, or make new ones etc...
The problem is not in the car as it works fine with other phones, and I've tried to reset everything on both the phone and in the car and then re-pair them, without any success. Nobody on the Camaro forums knows how to proceed.
You guys are my last chance of hope! I have no clue of how to continue
Thank you all in advance!
It appears that something changed with the Bluetooth profile when going to Jelly Bean if you read this thread:

Apparently GM have not updated their Bluetooth yet on my 2012 model. I need to go to Chevrolet and get this fixed.

Bluetooth MAP profiles on 2014 devices...

First off, apologies if this is not in the correct forum, I'm not sure if this is device specific or not...
I have 2 phones. An AT&T Galaxy S5 and a Samsung ATIV S Neo running Windows Phone 8.1 Developer Preview. The one feature I absolutely love about the Neo is the ability to read and respond to SMS over bluetooth in the 3 vehicles I own... they are:
2014 Chevrolet Impala LT with MyLink (no Nav)
2013 Chevrolet Camaro SS (with Mylink and Nav)
2012 Chevrolet Traverse (no MyLink or Nav)
On what I am guessing is the MAP part of Bluetooth, my Windows Phone works with each vehicle flawlessly to receive and respond to SMS. I can't say the same for my S5 (which by the way, is rooted, running SafeStrap, and running Alliance ROM so that I can have Car Mode, which AT&T saw fit to remove out of their version). I can only get the S5 to work correctly with the Traverse, which also happens to be the oldest vehicle. I have yet to find a 3rd party app that might be able to get around this.
It is beyond frustrating that a 2014 device such as the S5 does not work with vehicles that are relatively new in this regard. Is this true of all 2014 devices? I wish there was an easy way to find out. Most car manufacturers and even aftermarket ones don't even list any 2014 devices as being compatible with them... I know it might sound like nitpicking, but a phone (the Neo) that was released almost a full year ago works fine across all my vehicles... am I missing something here?
And yes, the new thing with Android and vehicle integration is all well and good, but probably won't be able to see that in action for what.. another year at least?
UPDATE: I have since moved on from the S5 and have tried an HTC One M8, and a LG G3, both with similar issues. I have found an app called Robin that kind of worked on the G3, and another called SMS, My Car and Me (SMS+Car) that sort of works on the M8. The M8's own car mode works best but far from perfect. Voice recognition is not good, and has an issue quite similar to responding to sms and emails on Android Wear devices. It gives you absolutely no time to pause before sending, but in the case of the M8, the window to respond is way too short.
Thoughts? Opinions? Advice?
So no one has a clue.. Am I asking this on the right forum? Am I phrasing the question wrong or something? Why can't anyone answer or offer any insight on this? A little help here please?
