I rooted my HTC One M7 (AT&T) and am tired of playing around. I am trying to get as close back to complete stock as I can. I re-locked my bootloader, I am S-On, I followed all the instructions I could find online, but when I try to use the ruu exe, I get stuck at "sending 1/6". I am not positive if I am using the correct ruu but I am pretty sure. Bootloader says my OS is 4.18.502.7 (4.20.502.1) and the ruu I downloaded is "RUU_M7_UL_K44_SENSE55_MR_Cingular_US_4.18.502.7_R10_Radio_4T.24.3218.09_10.26.1718.01L_release_356565_signed_2" I don't know what I should try now. I have managed to keep myself unbricked but I figured I should ask before I do something dumb. I want to go back to stock so I can receive OTA updates through the phone, and not have any root capabilities. My HBOOT is 1.56.0000 if that makes a difference. Sorry if this makes no sense, as I am new and trying to make sense of it all.
Any help is appreciated and if this is in the wrong spot, I am sorry in advance.

So I had some "help" from a well meaning visiting nephew who was playing with my phone and noticed that I had an update available and decided that I should really have the latest software on my phone...so now I am on 2.17 with hboot 1.5, locked bootloader and all with no custom recovery BUT I am still s-off. I have a NAND backup that is not to old that I did with CWM, but how do I get to that to install it?
I have been looking for several hours and cant seem to find a solution...maybe I'm just searching under the wrong keywords...nevertheless HELP!!!!!!!
I am in the process of downloading a 1.13 stock ruu. Will that work or is there a quicker way to get this done?
I would prefer to avoid HTC unlock if I can, and my understanding is that with s-off, I should be able to.
Thanks for helping bail my ass out guys and girls!
(I thought about it, but no, I didnt beat the kid...his intentions were good...at least they better have been...)
Have you tried flashing a cwm recovery? I think I read someone had the same problem.seens your s-off you should still be able to flash a recovery, and after that's done then you can be able to wipe and flash anything you want, and you well even be able to downgrade your hboot.
Nope, it wont let me flash a recovery through fastboot...access denied (phone shows locked). I cant install it with "flash image gui" because i dont have root.
I know it should be an easy fix because I have the all important s-off...I just cant find how to do it.

S-Off just means that the security is off, and you're able to write onto the boot partition of the phone when flashing a ROM, in one shot. If your Hboot = 1.50, you may have to unlock your bootloader via HTCDEV method, your phone gets wiped. Try HTC SuperTool, maybe it will work, since you're S-Off.

Follow my post and the links in there should get you back to 1.4

Thank you, that got me back in where I needed to be! Was able to load CWM again and restored from my back up...now all I need to do is make since of all the conflicting instructions to do this update so the icon goes away...found some that are fairly clear, but the links are broken now that the upload sites are blacklisted.
Either way, just glad to have my hboot back where it belongs.
Hi All
Hoping someone has the good grace to help me out here.
My Indian 3G variant Flyer was updated OTA to Honeycomb which unfortunately resulted my tablet basically locking at the white HTC logo screen.
I've followed a number of tutorials here with no luck trying to get it back to GB.
Tablet Info:
Locked and S-On
Hboot - 1.11.0003
Microp-0950
Radio-3809.07.004.06_m
eMMC-Boot
The issue I am running into in when I run the GB RUU for my tablet.
I get the Error [140]: Bootloader Version Error.
Would appreciate some help or where to from here please.
Was your flyer rooted or anything prior to attempting the update?
Flyer
Unsure unfortunately, I bought second hand and was running stock GB, but it did have the Revolutionary Hboot.
your hboot now says s on but you were s off prior? That does not make sense to me
Flyer
Yes that how it stands at the moment, was on Stock GB then updated to OTA HC.
Nothing but the white HTC screen after that.
Followed Globatrons HC downgrade tutorial and now just get stuck at the RUU install procedure with the Error [140] Bootloader Version Error.
Appreciate the replies mcord.
Couple of things
Sure you have correct ruu
Which downgrade procedure
What steps in the downgrade procedure did you accomplish
Oh man, you are testing me, I've looked at multiple threads concerning downgrading. I'm sure I followed this How to return to S-On after revolutionary first and foremost.
And got through to the RUU install, then that's when I get the error.
Im pretty sure that my RUU (RUU_Flyer_hTC_Asia_India_2.27.720.1_Radio_20.3504.30.089BU_3809.07.04.06_M_release_205504_Signed) is the correct one but I'll check my cid again to make sure.
I am nottesting you just trying to figure how screwed you are
Ok so you were s off when you tried OTA, first mistake
After it failed you attempted to return s on, second mistake
Sounds like you succeeded in pushing s on hboot through recovery but now your ruu won't run because you show a hc system that is newer than the ruu you are trying to run
I think
I think you want to try to gain soff using revolutionary first
No problem, just a figure of speech .
Yeah, like I said bought second hand so was unsure of the unlocked/locked state. But after going through these issues, Im learning to become very comfortable with Fastboot and the guides here.
Ok, so how do I gain soff with revolutionary without booting into Android and no adb?
Again, I appreciate the help mcord.
Not sure this works but try this

If not maybe htc dev unlock
I am concerned that you will not have USB debug enabled and that could be a problem
Do you know if a ruu exist for your device for hc
Yeah I've looked at that, the issue is 'Note: The device should be fully booted to android now, do not go to the bootloader or fastboot.'
I'll have a look at the HTC Dev Unlock but unsure if they even do it for the Indian Flyer.
Was thinking the same thing in that I may have to wait for an HC RUU to become available, which I do not think has happened yet.
We have to get you recovery
I'm all eyes and ears mate.
No s off no htc dev unlock I think I am out of ideas outside of maybe a gold card of another version of hc but I am no help in making one
Hey no worries, appreciate you jumping in to help out.
I think I am going to have a similar problem my flyer wifi model os due back Friday from repair I had to restock it all cause screen was playing up.Well htc will upgrade it to HC as standard so what would my option be?
Does anyone know if there is an Asia/India Honeycomb RUU available?

Yeah, HTC dev unlock does work for India Flyer, but nothing to do with India, just chose Flyer WWE
Sent from my HTC Flyer P510e using XDA Premium HD app
Thanks bud, a long shot but I'll ask anyway, will the WWE RUU also work on the Asia/India Flyer?
ok, I've managed to unlock via HTC Unlock Bootloader.
Device Info now is:
Unlocked
S-On
HBoot 1.11.0003
Where to from here team?
Hey, I'm going to make this short because I'm freaking out right now like the noob I am.
I was going through Closeone's downgrade S-OFF/Downgrade Bootloader tutorial and and relocked my phone. OK. I AM ON STOCK, I MADE A BACKUP AS SOON AS I UNLOCKED USING HTC DEV. That's what I restored before I relocked. But I'm still getting a security warning.
THE PROBLEM:
I cannot find the stock RUU for the Evo V 4G anywhere. I've checked here, VMROMs and Phandroid, nothing. They all lead to the same goo.manager link that says the file cannot be found.
PLEASE help, I'm stuck in bootloader and don't know what to do.
Thank you for your time...
OFFICIALLY FIXED... SORT OF
So I relocked using HTC Dev and from there attempted a reboot. It boots!.. up to the end of the animation, from there it stops. So unfortunate. Any ideas?
I cannot get to bootloader by any normal means (via commands or volume rockers).
SOLVED
With some help from LeslieAnn and a couple of other people over at VMroms.com I was able to boot again.

Will try the wire trick tomorrow.
Alright, I hate having to post a new thread on this topic, but I cannot find any solution, or anything close to a solution for this. my problem is that i cant get back to stock from the newest firmware. I had unlocked, rooted, and gotten s-off all before the update. After that, i flashed a few things, and ended up updating to the newest radio and firmware number (2.04.605.2, and 1.01.01.0110). now i want to go back to stock and start fresh, but nothing seems to work. Trying the RUU method only gets me to a 158 Image error about 3 minute into the process, and i cant seem to get back to 1.15. any help is much appreciated. I've been at it, searching for 5 days. if i missed something, or missed a thread, please let me know, thank you in advance
Flash the ENG Hboot then you will be able to run the RUU. Making sure you have the bootloader drivers installed. I generally boot into the bootloader and verify the drivers are loaded BEFORE running the RUU. I can say I have flashed the RUU numerous times so I know it works with the ENG hboot.
Yeap zone is correct, flash the Eng RUU or relock your bootloader either way and then run the RUU. It won't run on a stock hboot that's unlocked.

Glad I could help.
ENG Hboot & unroot
I'm having the same problem as the op. I downloaded the updates, and i'm trying to unroot my device and put it back to stock (I broke my screen and I want Verizon to fix it, without giving me grief about my software). I have the RUU and Its giving me an 158 Image Error. Sounds like I need to flash eng Hboot and then run the ruu.
Two Questions:
1. Where can I get / download eng Hboot for my DNA?
2. Which version of Hboot do I need? I currently have hboot 1.33.0001.
Hey all,
The title pretty much says it all. I've converted my AT&T HTC One into a Google Edition phone, but I'm tired of multiple issues etc. With that being said, I'd like to convert back to AT&T stock, but I can't seem to find the stock RUU for my device. Can anyone point me to the right direction? I've been able to pretty much get to the RUU stage, but it seems like that's the only thing holding me back at this point.
Thanks all

post your fastboot getvar all results minus serial no and IEMI
did you change your MID and CID to GPE?
You need to be S-Off...
Directions an Hboot you'll need are here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=43460011&postcount=2
The RUU file is here: http://www.htc1guru.com/downloads/ruu-file-downloads/
You want the Cingular one...
One thing not mentioned in the directions on xda is that affer you flash the hboot in RUU mode, fastboot reboot-bootloader. With the phone connected in bootloader mode, run the RUU. There is no need to change your CID back to the att one to have the RUU run...
pm me if you have any questions...I did it today...I prefer the developer edition RUU...(brightstar) grab the 1.29.1540.16 version, and let it run the OTA's all the way to 4.4.2
