I want to flash the leaked android 4.2.1 XXLSJ via Odin but I get these errors:
I've tried it with the latest Odin as well but still getting the same error. Any suggestions?
which kernel in cm10.1?
i think you have to download rom again... file must be corrupted.
---------- Post added at 08:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:24 PM ----------
ok change the file extension tar.md5 to .tar and flash again
I don't think there would be any problem with the downloaded file... But I will download it again.
Maybe I should have turned my anti virus off while extracting my downloaded file?????!!!

Just to inform you, you are not flashing the leaked xxlsj as that is 4.1.2 and Samsung your flashing 4.2
Sorry, your right. Yes. I want to install the 4.2

Thanks, it worked. Now I'm waiting for the official release. Is it going to be different from this leaked firmware?

Yes it will be very different as the leak has allot of bugs. The public release will also need to re-partition your device to give an extra 1GB to system.
Hello all. I was just wondering if thee was anyways to downgrade my baseband version back to the MDK one, or if anyone has the link to the flashable MDK modem. Thank you

I usually don't link my own threads, but here
Whenever I flash a AOSP based rom my device will not boot. But if I flash a touchwiz rom its all good. Any ideas why? Same process for them both. Though I have to flash gapps after aosp.

The obvious question: what build is your phone? Are you MDK with LOKI-enabled custom recovery?
If so, did you flash the proper kernel to support your ROM? AOSP ROMs won't work with the stock kernel.
If you're not running MDK build, then you can't run AOSP-based ROMs.
Using TWRP. And yes im on mdk. Not flashing any kernals.

If your mdk have you tried wiping dalvick and cache before rebooting and after flashing? Might get you over the top.
Is your recovery twrp 2.5.0.2? If not you might consider using it.

I could be wrong but i think the first TWRP recovery that supported Loki exploit was 2.5.0.2 but that doesn't explain why you are able to flash TW roms as that requires Loki as well. Make sure you're not on 2.6.0.0 I did hear some issues with TWRP higher then 2.5.0.2 but they may have been ironed out. I have stayed with 2.5.0.2 and likely wont update ever from it unless i have to.

Yeah there is a flashable some where in here. Just flash it in twrp that you have installed now. It will revert it back to the older version. Good practice after flashing the replacement recovery is to reboot to recovery after install to make sure it took before rebooting to system.

Did you try going into twrp and go to advanced then fix permission. . that usually works
So it seems anything above 4.2.2 will cause no boot for me. I get stuck on the samsung custom screen. Have not tried the fix permissions thing though. Doubtful that will fix this problem.
Looked everywhere for a way to Root my Sprint Mega. Found Kingo Root, downloaded and ran Kingo Root. It worked!! SuperUser is active and I do get prompts to allow Root access.
Hopefully this helps someone out!

Updating now. Will advise if the update kills root.
Edit: Update Kills root. Will retry root and update again.
Edit No 2: Kingoapp re-rooted phone successfully.

No, didn't know there was an update until the phone told me it wanted to apply.
Usually if u use root explorer and look in sdcard there would be a update.zip or other .zip file that is update

You should flash only the file version. Of the software you started on before rooting/roming etc
