Just got this phone, seems ok but randomly turns off, and the battery drain is huge, I'm talking 100 -> 45% in 20 minutes use, then around 40% battery it will turn off instantly, no warning it shutting down. Plug charger in and it's it's immediately reading 25% but won't pretty on for a few minutes. Not sure if handset or battery at fault.

someone help plz...
in november 2012 i bought s2 and after 10 months my s2 turned off without any reason.. i tried everything but my phone was not turning on... infact recovery and downlod mode were also not working... many posts on xda told me that my phone is dead and need a motherboard replacement... but the hilarious moment was " my phone turned on exactly after 48 hours".... i was too happy and i forgot everything that what happened with me...
then in october 2013 my s2 again suddenly turned off without any reason
everything was black and again exactly after 48 hours it turned on...
now today my phone is again turned off... and i hope it will again turn on after 48 hours...
can anyone of you plz tell me what type of fault is it????
why this **** is happening with my phone???
plz help me because i think one day my phone will turn off and will never turn on again or it will keep turning off on daily basis
show in service centre
Are u using stock rom? How did that happen in the first place? Maybe some screws need tightening or something.
Gangster89 that's pretty strange.
Did you ever let the phone fall hard on the ground and are the battery contacts still good? What ROM and kernel do you have installed.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
not at all... my phone never fall never contacted with water... first i was on biftor rom v10 but after 1st time issue i changed the rom to stock jelly bean but now my phone is again turned off... it has been 6 days passed and my phone is not turning on except going into download mode only when it is connected to pc usb
thanks for your replies and sorry for my poor english
about 2 months ago i put my phone on charging and i was out for some personel work... after 5 to 6 hours i came back and removed my phone from charging and i logged into facebook app, after 5 to 10 minutes my phone turned off and then it continues till yet
now whenever i connect it to the charger or pc usb i get an empty grey battery icon with 3 seconds intervals... i have tried a fully charged battery of another s2 of my friend but still failed to boot up... my own battery works fine on my friend's s2 that means its not the battery fault

Is the battery the original one that came with the phone?
Do you checked the voltage of the battery?
I recommend you to try with another battery when the phone will die again and see if it can start wiht another battery!
Good luck!
yes bro the battery is original... and i have tried another battery but the results are still same... phone doesn't boot up, its not about battery because my battery works fine in my friend's s2
now here is another thing... when i connected phone to pc in download mode, odin showed up this dialogue box... can any one of you plz translate this?? will be very thankful

[Q] Overheating and not turning on !

I rooted my phone with Cyanogenmod 11 (nightly) two weeks ago, it was fine, no issues. On monday morning phone was fully charged, but with very little to no use it was completely discharged in 7 hours. When I connected phone to a charger (original and working) it didn't want to turn on, it did NOTHING, black screen. When I borrowed battery from my brother's S2 wich was charged almost fully, it booted KitKat but it showed that the battery has to be recharged. I put it back to brother's phone but it showed only approx. 15% less than before, it was okay. I tried charging my phone with brother's battery, but it was incredibly overheating , not like when you play games, I was afraid it was going to blow up. It is overheating even when phone is turned off and charging or even when normally turned on, on battery. I tried enabling airplane mode, I even installed stock ROM with Odin, but it is still overheating. It is not overheating near the camera but on the left side of the screen, I don't know what that chip is there for. Stock ROM now gives me error after 2 min. saying "Charging paused, battery temperature too high." Now my battery is discharged and phone is unable to charge it, only black screen again. Could this be done by rooting it with Cyanogenmod ? it was the only ROM that I installed through the step-by-step process on their site and for couple of days it worked fine. Is this a hardware issue that would occur even if I wouldn't root my phone, also is it somehow fixable, or would I need to change motherboard completely ? PLS HELP !

Mediapad S7-301u starts but not charging

Hi All,
I wanted to turn my tablet on this afternoon, and it did.
Plugged it right in the wall power socket, but after my Cyanogenmod logo, my tablet says it is empty and turns off...
I have charged it now for 2 hours, but still switching off...
I have flashed different roms, including the stock rom, but nothing helped.
Does someone has something to repair this, or is it just a dead battery?
I hope to hear something soon.
Greetings,
Rik

FYI: The TWRP recovery mode works.
But it says CPU: 0C (zero degrees Celsius).
I can flash any rom, except the stock one...
I can't boot further than my lockscreen, then it says something about the battery is empty, and it turns off.
This keeps cycling until I stop trying to boot it...
Please help me!

Nobody with a Mediapad that can help me???

No, until now my tablet is still stuck in that loop.
Therefore a BUMP!
Some new information for you..
I bought a new battery, swapped it with the original one - still the same.
I can update the system via sd card, by starting the tablet and pressing all buttons together.
Flashing works fine, it boots until i see the android beginng menu (with language selection etc..) and then it turns off.
The only thing i can see from then on is the red battery symbol, showing low battery..

Damn that the new battery didn't work.
I have got the same problem as you...
You do not have found an other solution??
I hope someone can resolve this problem... :crying:
Make sure the battery plug is connected correctly. After changing battery I had to reopen the pad twice because battery stayed at 0%. It is a bad plug, maybe it can already get loose because your tablet fell of the table.
Also look at the manufacture date of your "new" battery. Mine was from 2011 !!! Surprisingly it works, but yours could be bought dead.

Hi guys I would have (not me directly but a friend) a problem that has been literally driving me crazy for 3 days.
A friend gave me the indicated tablet asking me to do a miracle but basically I'm not God. The tablet in question is literally dead. Installed all the drivers, I started RKtool and it is not recognized, even the pc does not give the slightest signal of recognition of a connected device. It doesn't go into download mode, it doesn't go into recovery, it doesn't turn on. I left him in charge all night and nothing at all, shows no signs of life. The red LED while it is charging is there, pressing the reset button vibrates timidly once and then stops ... dead! Anyone have any idea what could have happened? Could anyone help me short-circuit it? I need to know which pins are right. Thanks
