You can probably use adb or Terminal Emulator (Free on market) directly on your phone.

Dear SprigganMaster,if I use terminal emulator, what was the initial command?
Cause the 'sh' file I move from system,it seem like a script ,and when I open the scree of emulator,I can't type any things...
For your info,I move the 'sh' file from /system /bin/ folder to my SD card /folder.
by using apk root explore,as a result, without the 'sh' script file in /system/bin folder, when I can't access to root explore anymore-force close.
Then I can't move back the 'sh' file to the system/bin folder.
All those root apk does not work anymore...
Now,I am trying my best to get a way to move back the 'sh' file (which is read only file) to my system folder...
Can u guide me about it? Using terminal emulator or any alternative way to move back the file into system?
Waiting your prompt reply and really appreciate it.
Thankz....^^
Hello peter tham,
Please note : my phone is not rooted. I can't try these solutions and I'm quite new to android. Maybe someone with more experience could help you.
I'm not sure if Terminal Emulator use the sh file too but we can try...
To move file, the command is mv.
To copy a file, the command is cp.
Adapt this command with the correct folder where you put the sh file :
Code:
cp /FOLDER/sh /system/bin/
You will need to be root to copy a file to /system folder.
Usually, to gain root privileges, you use the command su.
If Terminal Emulator does not work, you can try with adb.
1- Download sh file to your computer.
2- open a shell (on windows : cmd, on linux whatever you're using as shell)
3- plug your phone in Charge Only mode with USB debuging On
4- Push the file with a command like this one :
Code:
adb push foo.txt /sdcard/foo.txt
adb push <local> <remote>
You can find more info on adb here :

[Q] Rooted Kindle Issue

I have rooted my Kindle Fire with the Burritoroot tool. I have successfully rooted the device but I am unable to move my Vending.apk file to the System>Apps directory.
I have installed several file access programs incuding ES File Expert. When I attempt to change the root permissions inside of File Expert it will not let me and in all other programs it will copy the file but not paste it.
I have mounted as read/write and done everything! This is my last step before Android Market is accessable.
Please someone help me!!!!

I can't Delete file in root directory

First. I'm sorry about my English language (I can use a little)
but I can't delete some file in this directory ".ifs" folder
Because. Yesterday I'm rooted my phone (This is a first time i root Android phone) i've explore alot of file in my phone
I found "logo.jpg" ( I Guest this is BOOT SCREEN PICTURE FILE ) in ".ifs folder" I Think if i replace with another JPG file. I can change BOOTSCREEN another Picture too.
when i copy and replace with new JPG file in this directory. I CAN'T replace it. But it create Duplicate file with "logo-Copy.jpg"
I do this 2 time but not work.
I can't delete or replace "logo.jpg" file in " mnt .ifs " Directory
that useless. So ! I want to delete "logo-Copy.jpg" or "logo-Copy (2).jpg" but I CANNOT DELETE IT TOO.
I'm use ROOT EXPLORER program SD Maid and ES EXPLORER it still not work ( SET mounted read and write )
How to delete it ?
Thank you and Best Regards

Mount /system as writable using ES explorer. Use Terminal. Use cd command to navigate to the directory, type su to enter su mode, type rm -f file.name to remove the file.

Can't Change hosts file to rw (noob)

I'm using a Huwei Pronto and a friend rooted my phone a while back so I factory reset. I was unable to connect to Google servers and I've tried everything I've seen so far.
I am once again rooted using kingroot
Device is running android 4.4.4 KitKat
Every file explorer I've tried has root access
Es file explorer, total commander, fx explorer, etc...
I've come to the conclusion that the hosts file in etc is the file at fault, as it has an extra line.
I couldn't edit or overwrite the file so I looked to forums and found that I needed to remount.
When I try to remount I get
Remount error: read only file system...
I've even tried commands to remount in terminal emulator but my device is not listed when I type adb devices
Pls help it has been 6 months. I just want to be able to use Google play again.

Permission denied when trying to copy file to system/bin in Ros3.0

While trying to get touchscreen to work in my wacom pen/touch enabled laptop I was trying to copy a file called "inputattach" into the system/bin folder (as per post #6 in this thread ) of Remix OS 3.0 but I am always getting permission denied error. This version of remix OS comes pre-rooted (root checker says it is at least) and root seems to work fine except for changing any permissions inside the system folder or the permissions of the folder itself. I tried several root browsers but nothing worked. I'm a noob, plz halp?
anyone?
