Install TWRP and backup from there. Is the best backup tool.
Titanium have problems with superuser on Vibe 1.5, you can look for a kinguser (superuser like app) which works good...
@lenovo P780 Life 07, thanks! I will try Helium.
@stympy, i need a app to store and restore apps with settings, SMS, contacts and so on. TWRP is great, but its only for full backups and restore. Also i have no working version from TWRP found for vibeUI 1.5.

Kinguser is on aptoide : http://m.eroe.store.aptoide.com/app/market/com.kingroot.kinguser/44/4338408/Kinguser授權管理
or its a part of root genius , read here : http://androidxda.com/download-root-genius

Yes, this is the problem, but Kinguser don't let disable toast notifications and is very irritating.

I also just got the same problem with TB. I'm on TWRP recovery and it seems to be compiled from a source not for our device, as it has soft keys on the screen and pressing on screen gives miss presses often. I have to press above the file I want to select or swipe above the swipe bar to get things to initialize. Is there not a better recovery? I'm still lost in Google land looking for one. And Vroot often breaks root. And KK gapps don't install right. Is there a thread for these issues?

as title says, everytime i switch from rom to rom and need to restore my app backups, i have to restore them through titanium backup one by one, which is kind of annoying... is there any way to restore ALL my apps (maybe some option of titanium or something)
Thanks !

Yes, it is available as an option of Titanium. Might only be in the pro version though.
May i ask which option and how can i select it ? this way i can check if its in the free or payed version
PD: it goes without saying that i already searched this through titanium and failed to find such thing. I either suck at it or there is no such thing ! Thanks a bunch

On mine, it's the checkbox icon in the upper right next to the search button. Above the "Schedules" tab.

Note that this restores all your apps including the ones you installed before.
If I may hijack the thread - does anyone know how to restore only the apps I had installed that would be helpful!

Restore user apps
Another nice feature of Titanium Backup is to create an update.zip from your apps. I guess this is a pro feature. You can find this option when you press the menu button and scroll down to the bottom. Then you can choose all your apps (including app data) you want to backup. TB will save them to a single update.zip file. After installing your (new) rom you can install the update.zip and your chosen apps will be restored. :good:
I am currently using Xperia Sola. I frequently flash custom ROMs. However, after installing a new custom ROM, I have to go through the process of installing apps all over again. Also, I would to preserve the settings and data for each of application (which gets lost everytime i reinstall the app). Is there anything which can install/restore a fixed set of apps along with their data(whatsapp,fb messenger, sms backup restore etc) directly in one go for a new ROM.
In case I haven't looked deep enough, please post links to threads which already discussed this.

I am facing one minor issue , not sure if it is because of Titanium Backup.
I use Facebook Messenger a lot, when I restored this , I dint get any notifications from this app , the app was even updated from Google Play Store but stil no notifications
So could it be because the app was not installed cleanly in first place and restored using Titanium Backup? Any one faced similiar issues while using this tool?

Why doesn't the latest version of Titanium Backup work with my TWRP backups? Why can't it extract anything from them? Version 6.0.3.1 doesn't have this problem. What's wrong with the latest version?

I have already tried that. I tried several weeks ago and never got a response. It seems I might be stuck with version 6.0.3.1 for good if this doesn't get fixed.
Do you have an answer? I have got this problem with Titanium Backup 6.1.1, too.
Is it possible to install the latest version of Titanium Backup that works with the Nandroid Backup?
Best regards
Dirk

Just for the sake of record for whomever searches about this problem in google:
The solution is to use "Nandroid Backup" - the free version is enough . more info in the official thread.
To restore a specific app - ( if your nandroid is compressed then ) decompress your backup ->restore Data tab->Restore Apps+Data-> follow the onscreen guide.
I had that problem with T.B on my N7, and using N.B helped getting around it.

I use TWRP all the time and I have no issue with my backup or restore. I currently have 4 backups and all have been restored one time or another. Is your TWRP blue or yellow?
Yellow.
Actually, I was trying to restore my apks and data AFTER I made two nandroid backups of the stock ROM: One totally stock and one after mods to build. prop and removal of bloatware.
and what is the error message? I will upload a restore if you want and you can try to restore it if you want and it will tell you if its the backup or the phone recovery itself.

Do you mean a restore from TWRP or the MyBackup Pro app?
If it's the latter, then, sure. I'll try anything once lol.
Oh, BTW, there were no error messages shown. Everything ran normally.
twrp bug
I found that twrp 2.8.3.0 cannot restore the DATA partition on my Samsung Galaxy S5 (klte).
I went back to 2.8.1.0 and now I can restore also DATA.

I have TWRP ver. 2.8.0.0. Will I still be able to restore data partitions on that?
I'm also curious about the issue of restoring my apks and data onto the phone AFTER full wipe thru TWRP. It's been ongoing since TWRP was installed. A Dev team for their popular backup app is still checking for more bugs.
I think I'm lost at ...why not just restore data with TWRP?

Restoring a nandroid backup thru TWRP was never an issue. That part works fine. It's restoring the apps and data that are stored on my memory card back onto the device AFTER a clean wipe using the My Backup Pro app is where I'm having problems.
I hope this has clarified things a bit.

Titanium Backup works to properly restore data and apps after a new wipe or even a new phone (dissimilar hardware). I haven't used the My Backup Pro app because Titanium Backup (root) has worked so well...that or just nandroid/twrp full backups. Have you tried restoring via TWRP, then make a new backup with Titanium backup then wipe, then use TI to restore apps+data?
Hello everyone, since we're not getting android nougat update officially, I decided to flash RR 5.8. Can anyone guide me through the process of backing up apps and their data which I can restore in the ROM ? A detailed guide would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
You have to root MIUI.
Once rooted,
use "Titanium Backup".
It will backup App and its data (all apps you can including System apps).
then flash the ROM of you choice and use Titanium backup to restore the apps and data (I would suggest to install the app and then restore its data fro titanium backup).
Hope it helps your need.

A::: Can not be guaranteed but i never faced such problem.
And I can set the backup location to SD Card right ?
A::: yes, you can.
After downloading the app then ?
A::: Just install the app and do not open the app. after that restore "only data" for the app.
Can you please guide me through the details here ?
A::: i have covered all the details. in my previous and this comment.
still, here it goes again.
back up app+data.
flash the ROM of your choice.
install the app from play store/any where.
restore only app data from titanium backup.
These all info is based on my experience and nothing can be guaranteed. for me everything was working fine after backup and restore.
