Hey guys, I have x10 mini pro and I lost my charger 2 days ago. Luckily I lost only the charger, not the data cable so I could use my pc to charge it via usb port. But I notice that charging via usb is very slow,i need to turn off my phone to get it faster,so I tried to use my samsung monte's charger since it use micro usb too. But every time I connect the charger my phone get very weird,i cannot touch the screen. And sometimes the screen like touching itself on random point,it keeps on and on even I disconnect the charger,i have to pull the battery out to force the phone off and then turn it on again. I have tried blackberry charger and had the same problem. It's so hard to find SE original charger on my place any1 has a solution?

I use an old Nokia N85 charger which works a treat and charges fast too.
I tried the charger for HTC Wildfire and it worked normally. during charging, I had no problems with the phone
Any charger that outputs more than 500 mA will do fine.
Thx guys, i'll try it

I have a Xperia U, supplied with EP800 charger, but I charged my phone with an iphone charger, because EP800 had this weird sound while charging that bothered me. It went 3 weeks with no problems until one night, left my phone charging but then on the next morning it was dead: no power, no blinking led, no safe mode, even no flashmode, nothing, just had this orange led while connected to the (iPhone) charger or the PC, but nothing else, obviously no sony logo or anything booting.
Ive searched through forums and concluded that it was HW issue. I sent it into technical service and they gave it back with "no issues detected".
Then arrived home, connected to the (iPhone) charger and nothing, so finally, just to try, I connected the phone to the supplied charger and, guess what, it started charging with no issues...
So, some advice if you are using alternative chargers is to check the charger if you face some of this problems, dunno if it happens or P or Sola.
BTW EP800 charge have 5v 850mA output, might be useful if yours died.
I've never charged my Xperia U with the Sony charger only ever charged it with my HP Touchpad since the day I got it 3-4 months ago, never had a problem.
Seems like The Evil Apple's doing to our beloved androids... ...Just kidding.
Does Apple use high frequency DC chargers?...if yes then maybe it is the reason.I have also used samsung's charger and didn't face any issues.
There is one problem with my phone which i have never experienced is that my sony mobile stopped charging with the original Sony charger which came with my phone but it can be charged easily with the aftermarket charger.
The problem is that the aftermarket charger output current is higher than the original charger. And I cannot even charge with the USB port of my laptop, the mobile shows notification of charging and even led lights up but the battery level goes down, but working perfectly with aftermarket charger. On examining, I found out that it can easily get charge with USB port that delivers high power (which is usually at the back of the CPU). After changing USB cable still not charging.
My phone is 1.5 years old, I don't know that it's the fault of my charger or the battery is acting wierd.
The other details are as follow
Sony live with Walkman
Legacy xperia rom JB 4.2.2
3.4.5 kernel
Bootloader unlocked

Actually it was not the cable, it was charger, and I think battery is also going to die soon.
Thanks for guiding me.

Huge problem. My Xperia z ultra does not charge when connected to the charging port. The notification light just keeps turning on and off
Tried different charger like
Nexus 7
Samsung s3 charger
Innergie charger
Tried the hardware reset button same problem exist
Tried a Reset the phone from setting erased everything and then connected to charger same problem exists but now it says charging dock connected and keeps coming and going along with the notification light when there is no charging dock connected and was never connected.
Plz help
It may be a long shot and not a proper fix but you could use a magnetic charging dock. Cheapest I've seen them for is £9

Tablet is a rooted Verizon Xperia Z2.
If it's powered on it will not charge with original stock USB charger or a generic magnetic dock charger.
If I turn it off it charges perfectly with either charger.
What could be wrong?
Try Ampere app to see what's the tablet measuring!
I just bought an ebay refurb Z2 and mine won't charge with the usb or magnetic cable unless it's totally shut down. Won't even charge in standby mode with the screen off. Did you find a solution?

Had the same problem on KitKat 4.4.4., but after flashing Lollipop 5.1.1. It worked....
Hmmm, with my own cable (not original) I had the same problem in the past.
But when I used the original Sony cable, it worked well. !?!?!?
