Hi,
Recently my Brother-in-law brought LG Prada KU5400 from Korea. He upgraded to ICS (version v20d) in Korea. Now iam using with BSNL 3G sim. Mobile network settings are not automatically installing, hence i’ve installed Access point names Manually, by copying from another Android Phone’s access point settings..phone calling is working well and GPRS is working with only 50Kbps speed. 3G and EDGE networks are not working! all other features are working good, except 3G and EDGE! I tried several another sim cards like Airtel,Vodafone,Docomo,Idea etc..still no use.
what should i do to work 3G and EDGE networks in my Phone in India?
I request you to please suggest me what to do regarding my problem. I very much thankful if you suggest solution.
Regards

sir
please tell me how to add mobile number on sim?
Hello all,
I have been unable to find a clear answer to this question--I hope you will bear with me:
I have a Galaxy Note 2 from Verizon running Android 4.3. Before leaving for a trip to India this week I confirmed with Verizon customer service that the phone was unlocked. In Delhi I purchased a local sim card (from Airtel) and inserted it. Voice and text work perfectly but the data plan does not. The sim works when inserted into other phones but not in this one. The Airtel techs cannot figure it out. I have access to the APN settings under the Mobile Networks menu and have edited the Name, APN, Server, APN type etc. as indicated by Airtel but no dice. When I go to "Select" it finds Airtel after some spinning and when I select Airtel from "Network Operators" I get a "registered on network" message but still can't get data.
Is it the case that Verizon locks the data on this phone? Is there any way for me to unlock this from India? I don't really know anything about rooting phones.
Any help appreciated!
I also use the same handset in India and use other operator sim...no trouble so far in data

Hello! I'm using unlocked version of the phone and today did my first upgrade - at first S-OFF and then also installed latest firmware: HBOOT, Radio. Hooray!! :fingers-crossed: :fingers-crossed:
The thing is that I already have an GSM card and also want use together with it a 3G internet which is accessible only via CDMA/LTE network here, where I live. So when I went to the operator's office they told me that I can sign in but will be forced to use only one network at time: so if phone is in the LTE/CDMA network than it's impossible to recieve regular calls and sms. And also it's a kind of long road to switch network over perferences -> mobile network
The question is it possible to use GSM and LTE/CDMA together?
Global is the closest way of using but you would need 2 trays to use them simultaneously.

The phone is capable of communicating on both bands simultaneously, however authentication for CDMA/LTE services are provided via sim card and so with only one sim card you are limited to one provider.
I have HTC Droid DNA Verizon :
Its works on GSM Sim only .
CDMA Network is not showing on this however in Mobile Network it have option for following networks:
CDMA/LTE
GSM/UMTS
So it should support CDMA/GSM Both but its not showing any cdma network .
My software Details :
Android Ver - 4.4.2
Help me in its working for both CDMA/GSM with Data.
Purchased a A10e sm-a102u from someone. It originally was a sprint variant. Seller said it worked on cricket. She had me and sprint 3 way call to tell me they unlocked it, and a dialer code removed sprint provisioning (splash screen?) Ended up still locked to sprint sims. I found a menu hack (changeCSC apk) via applying a theme to open carrier selection inside legal info menu. I tried switching it to XAA and XAS, which allowed it to recognize my Mint Mobile sim card. This also allowed APN editing. Now the phone works to call and mms over wifi only. No mobile network and it says emergency calls only.
The build number ends in -ATE5.
The default apns are t mobile
In download mode it says carrier- BST.
Its like its half unlocked?? What am i missing? My Mint sim works in a unlocked LGv20
