POTATO GESTURES MOD
First, what this mod does is allow you to use gestures within your status bar. JUST SWIPE AND DOUBLE TAP ON THE CENTER OF THE STATUSBAR. ONLY FUNCTIONS THAT WORK ARE MUSIC GESTURES. Love some super trim roms. Any idea if the USB dock audio out works with this build? Seems to be hit or miss with 4.4 tw roms. Almost always worked with 4.3 two roms.

I think the devs just wanna leave all apps in for functionalities sake and that way people can choose what they'd like. But I hate bloat and don't use all the features of the phone so I make slim builds.

I tested it today. It does work!
On an unrelated note, some of the fonts are too big. Getting random buttons that only have a few letters of the word. Like one was a button that should say simply 'continue' but instead it had 'co' on one line and 'nt' on the 2nd line. I wanna say it was Titanium, and it was other apps as well that had large fonts in some random spots, but the buttons in pop up messaged were almost all big fonts.

Hmmm....I deleted all the extra fonts, maybe I deleted the wrong one. I'll check it out tonight/tomorrow. Glad the dock is working for you at least.

Resolution

Locale

Fullscreen

Makes the app notification in the notification dropdown smaller, like a small preview instead of the normal show everything notification.

Downloading all now. Ive used your mms on jedi. Its awesome, fingers crossed all will go well, im sure im gonna break it a couple times finding the best sound mods to insert(ac¡d,beats,sony,clearaudio,ect). VV will probably not work. I'm assuming everyone is on the latest baseband (VRAMC3). If you're not it will be L4 OR VRALB. either way always flash the VZW patch so you don't run into any issues.

Inspired by iOS 6/7 and the latest Android 4.4 fake leaks (whether true or not), implemented by Paranoid Android as manual tinting, and now, an Xposed module with automatic tinting for most apps.
This module tints your status bar according to the currently shown activity, it also allows you to customize the tint color yourself on a per app basis. You'll need to do that for apps where auto detect doesn't work.
It also allows you to have the KitKat gradient on devices that support this module, use 66000000 as the color to achieve that.

I can't add default colours for all the apps that aren't auto detected. You can contribute to a list of colours that look great on the app.
The quickest way to get the colours is to take a screenshot of the app and use an app like "Color Picker" from the store and using that to get the colour.

Google Drive doesn't support transparency, so if you want to make a cell coloured, remove the first "ff"s, colours should be in the format "RRGGBB". My mod takes "AARRGGBB" too though.

its conflicting with Wanam Xposed clock color,, clock color becomes white ,, dont know about circle battery color because i m using battery module...

The colour matches that of icons, obviously having one colour for the clock isn't right (e.g if the clock is black and the status bar is black, then the clock would be invisible).
You're free to change white to whatever you want in the config app.

I use 3minit to control Statusbar transparency and icon colors, also battery. Wanam is only used to remove the Recent Apps, Battery Fully Charged and others. I'll test it now and see what happens.

After booting, status bar goes to default (black, blue wifi, white other icons) and after a while, the icons started flashing colors, showing that it is conflicting heavily with 3minit. Won't recommend installing both.

The consistent flashing is the 1-2 minute bug mentioned in the first post, let your device settle down after it boots up and it should be fine.

Actually not, it kept flashing for about 10 minutes, changing between Tinted and 3minit colors (sometimes even random colors). Disabling the Tinted or 3minit would keep the other app colors. It seems to be a nice app, though I am not using it because of this conflict...

Just an explanation of how this mod works.
Every time you launch activity, it goes through what's called a "lifecycle", one part of which is "onResume".
I hook the onResume() method of the Activity superclass, so each time onResume is called, I detect which activity called it, and set colours for that. So, if after the system has settled down, you still get flashing icons, then some activity is being constantly resumed and paused, and I'd be worried about that in terms of battery life.
Check logcat to see what's triggering an icon change. If it's not something you're launching, I'd uninstall the package quickly.

Xposed Framework installed? Center clock is from Nottach/Wanam's modules, not mine.

Clock in expanded panel no longer changes colour.
New notifications should follow the colour of the icons next to them.
Tickers will now change colour when the user changes activity while a ticker is showing.
I consider this beta the one closest to a stable 0.1 release.
I understand that it's quite difficult for the dev to apply this to all apps, but it would be great if people post here if they find the current colour of some apps.

First, what this mod does is allow you to use gestures within your status bar. JUST SWIPE AND DOUBLE TAP ON THE CENTER OF THE STATUSBAR. ONLY FUNCTIONS THAT WORK ARE MUSIC GESTURES. SET DOUBLE TAP TO PLAY/STOP, AND SWIPE ACTIONS TO SWITCH TRACKS IN THE POTATO STATUSBAR GESTURE APP IN YOUR APP DRAWER. DO NOT REPORT SYSTEMUI FORCE CLOSES IF USING ANY OTHER FUNCTIONS. All the Google apps are not themed, but check out team blackouts website for all the latest and greatest in transparent and blacked out apps. As far as zwl I'm not sure what that is lol.

Just realized ZWL means zero wake lag. No it does not include it, and never will. I don't see a reason to add a wakelock just so your screen turns on .3 seconds faster.

I do this because I love doing this, not because I am trying to make money. I have a career in the petroleum industry, this is just a hobby. There has been many countless hours put into this project by more people than just me. This being said, I will NEVER ask for a donation, but they are always appreciated. If you like this project and would like to contribute in a different way, I always need testers. Also, clicking the thanks button works just as well :good:
New install instructions:
1) Download ROM zip and verify MD5 sum, place on your internal or external SDCard, it doesn't matter which.
2) Make any backups you need with Titanium Backup or whatever you use while this is downloading
3) Also make sure that you are on latest JB SafeStrap (version 3.71)
4) Boot into Safestrap Recovery via app or hard reboot
5) While in Safestrap first choose "Boot Options" And Then Select "Stock ROM". Activate it. If you are already on the Stock ROM Slot and it is activated AND YOU HAVE A BACKUP, or if you ALREADY have a stock backup move on to Step 7.
6) Click the back button on the bottom right to get back to the main screen, and then choose "Backup". You will want to make sure all 3 partitions are selected to backup. You can choose internal or external sdcards (I HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING THE EXTERNAL) by clicking Where it says "Storage: xxx SDCard (xxxx MB)" towards the middle of the screen. Choose where you want to create the nandroid (backup) and select "OK." Now just swipe to make the backup. Once the nandroid is done continue on to step 7.
7) Back out to the main screen using the back button in the lower right corner of the screen. The letters at the top should be in red and say "ROM Slot: stock"
8) Now choose "Wipe" and it should pop up the wipe screen. It should say "Factory Reset" and on the next line "Wipes Data, Cache, and Dalvik (not including internal storage). If it doesn't, hit the back button, if it takes you back to the main screen, go back to "Wipe" until you see this message. Now just swipe to Factory Reset.
9) Now you should have a clean stock partition that is ready to have your ROM flashed. Hit the back button until you are back at the main screen, and now you will choose "Install."
10) Now find the ROM zip, you placed on your phone, either on internal or external SDCard and install the ROM. Once the ROM is flashed, you should reboot the device.
***Note***
Now that you have made a backup, if for whatever reason you want to go back to that ROM on the stock slot, you can boot back into recovery, and choose the "Restore" button and restore the backup to the Stock slot.

You can make this feel however you want! There is even an option to have the ROM choose a random color everyday when you wake up. The ammount of customization is incredible, and I am sure you wont be disappointed.
There will be future themes that will be available in the ROM Customizer, but since I am so new to Alliance, I dont have anything there

Dude!!! Awesome. No hurry/worries. I've mentioned it somewhere here in the note 3 threads. Alliance project has always been my favorite ROM ever since I've known android and rooting. Take your time on the customizations. I'm sure you'll kick it in the butt soon. Thank you so much for bringing it to our note 3. Waiting patiently for the link.

Nice to see good job on first release!
Something might be wrong with the file uploaded or something is wrong with afh. 6th attempt and the file is corrupt. On computer and on mobile. Using my work laptop now to see what happens.
EDIT: No matter what I download the Rom on or to, it is corrupted. Also doesn't matter what browser I use.

I am proud to present to you BeanStalk Builds put together by myself. This is a build composed off of the CM builds and i have added alot of features on top of it. So you get speed, stability, and ultra customization ability. Many of the additional code additions came from slim ROM and also Derteufels build and have been modified to work with my current setup. A huge thanks to Derteufel and the Slim ROM guys for their work and dedication. Also a big thanks to everyone involved with CM as that is the building stone in this project. Make sure you are rooted with a custom recovery
Download both the BeanStalk build and the latest GAPPs package.
Boot into recovery
Perform a FULL factory wipe and wipe /system and dalvik cache as a precaution
Flash BeanStalk build
Flash GAPPs package
Reboot

I've run Mahdi since I got my v500, which is a great rom, but I love Beanstalk on my N5 and I wanted to port it to this device. I also figured others might want another good option for a device that so far has pretty limited development.

Very fast and stable, no problems so far.
I like the fact it comes with nova launcher , but it seems a little bit too bloated for me (trebuchet and holo launcher are there for no reason imo)
I am also getting issues with xposed after using titanium backup, also couldn't use my nova layout backup.
I would really enjoy a debloated version that comes with no additional apps, but other than that, it's perfect! You did a spectacular job!

My pad is almost as smooth as my G2 now. None of the other roms I tried was anywhere near this smoothness. And I haven't found any real issue. Great work!

I'm having the performance control fc too, but I had this on several other roms on different phones. And I have an app for that. There was one more fc, I think in the beanstalk options somewhe somewhe, I don't remember where exactly.

-Yes I see performance control's not working. I'm checking into it, it's got to do with the kernel. If I find a fix I'll update, but for now it remains a broken feature.
-Status bar too small- the dpi seems to default to 270 even though it says 320 in the build.prop. You can change the dpi using Rom toolbox. Forgot.. there's also a density setting in Beanstalk options/Misc. options. Set it to 320 there.
-The boot animation is 1920H x 1080W. I'm thinking about resizing it to 1200W.
-"ticking contextual notification panel header"- when you correct the dpi to 320, the height is fine, just the width is off. The ends are chopped off the image. I guess this is another 1080vs1200 incompatibility. I'll look into it.
Screen recorder- I don't use it and i really have no how to fix it. I don't even know how to turn it on. I'll keep an eye open for a fix though.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I can tell you're both testing it thoroughly. Performance control seems to be the big issue that stands out (I don't oc anymore so I didn't notice initially), but everything else seems pretty minor. Although I'll continue to try to fix the little stuff too.
Keep in mind that I'm not an experienced developer, this is my first rom to compile and port so bear with me while we try to get the kinks ironed out. I welcome any help in trying to perfect this rom. Credit will be given in the OP!

Sure, go for the boot animation. I'm thinking about resizing the black one listed in under extras in the OP and using that one.
I'm trying to keep this rom as close to Scott's BS source as possible so I don't know about removing apps. You have the option of doing that yourself with Titanium Backup if you like.

I think you don't need to resize the black one because it has black borders, no? Only the white one

I was able to uninstall xposed. When clicking on Frameworks and Modules under Display and Animations it FC's settings now so its definitely gone. Why do you want to uninstall it? Why not just not use it lol.
The black animation looks kinda grainy like the white one so I was just gonna hop in photoshop and see what I can do to clean it up. You're welcome to pitch in on either one, by all means.

I think not, it's not the same aspect ration and it will look a bit squished. Do you want me to make a special black one, just for you?
BTW - the bootanimation I uploaded is NOT flashable, does anybody want me to upload a flashable one?
