lacking posts eh?
Anyway ive tried it and i loved it, im not sure how CM11 is supose to feel on a powerful device because last time i used, i used it on a Xperia S and even then i loved it although being unoficial
For the Z2 it is perfect. 0 bugs aside the camera being just generaly weird and the features of Cm11 are all there
CM11 however isnt for me and i am currently with stock, if i had a choice of Any rom Exept Stock and CM11 id pick CM11 because i cant have Stock in this scenario

I thought there is supposed to be an Official thread for it. Why is there no official thread for it?

[Q] Recommend a rom

I haven't been into the Atrix forums in a while, so I would like a rom recommendation.
I have an rooted, subsidy unlocked AT&T Atrix. Its currently running Homebase but I am having issues with it, primarily:
Xorg is using about 50% CPU cycles, causing the unit to run hot and killing my battery. Im not sure why, perhaps a memory leak, but whatever it is, I would still like to try something else.
I WANT webtop (Ubuntu) and maximum functionality. Fingerprint reader needs to work. HDMI w/o dock mod needs to work. I don't care about what the UI looks like as I'll replace it with GO Launcher.
BTW: I'm using a Galaxy S2 right now, prior to that a 4S, but something about the Atrix keeps me coming back to it. I love this phone, there is literally nothing else like it (feature wise) on the market. Not even the Atrix 2.

Wet Dream if you want to set your Atrix apart from the rest thanks to the Webtop Environment!
But you can also try ICS (CM9 KANG) if you haven't already tried it on the SGS2.
I've been using Wet Dream with a highly modified Webtop2SD environment but ever since I installed CM9 just to see ICS I truly think it's well worth it even on it's Alpha status.. (I think it has already upgraded to Beta status!) Woohoo!

I love CM9 so much.
But with Fingerprint+Webtop which are Moto's, u really shoulda go Wetdream, even if i had more issues with WET DREAM than with ICS yet
And i am writing this only to get my 10 posts to thank Jokersax for ICS so much

smootheststable cdma rom

Hey guys, my friend has an evo 3d and he is having trouble with crashes etc on stock. He asked if I could root his phone for him. Could you throw out some suggestions for the smoothest most reliable cdma rom for this phone. Keep in mind, after I flash the phone he will probably never update the from so make it a good one! Thanks.

Nearly all the ROMs in development section are stable unless they are labled alpha. If he wants to remain stock, a master reset is probably needed.
I'm running Paranoid Android 2.52 and it is amazing. Great ROM and best of all its Jellybean. The only thing I've found wrong with this ROM is the 3d doesn't work. But 3d on phones is lame anyhow. Kinda a gimmick more than anything.
Android Revolution or MeanROM. I wouldn't recommend any others as ultra stable and fully working, as I'll assume if he's anything like my brother, it's going to have to be perfect... Otherwise he'll never let you near one of his devices again.
If he's on Virgin Mobile, go with Harmonia.
I do not recommend flashing any kernel other than stock either, unless you are positively 200% sure it will never break down. Stock kernel as I have seen is the most bug free (although definitely NOT the smoothest, not by a long shot).
Make sure you tell him what you're doing if you decide to flash a custom kernel, and do NOT under any circumstances over clock. If he accidently touches something and ends up at 1.8gHz and performance governor, (while he may come to you to try and fix it) he may also end up obliterating the hardware on his phone.
I only know from past experiences.
So to end on a final note.
Enhanced stock is really the only way to go to ensure ultimate stability. And unless he is going to flash ROMs himself, that's my opinion.

ROM that doesn't have the screen delay problem?

Is there a ROM right now that doesn't have the screen delay bug that causes the button lights to come on but the screen/display to delay or not appear?
Thanks all.
As far as I know, that problem is only occurring in the 4.3 ROMs. (Only witnessed it myself in the CM10.2 and Beanstalk 4.3 build1, PACMan has worked fine for me though) Anything based on 4.2.2, 4.1.2, 4.0.4 should be fine in that aspect.

this is only a side effect on the 4.3 ROM's. a simple changing of the LOCKSCREEN option to none.
I can tolerate that
I don't use lock screens anyways .... useless..... nothing on my phone that would be worth anything lol...I have a secret life ... off the grid

Actually it also happens on 4.2.2 ROMs as well, one in particular is Carbon 1.8. The latest CM 10.1 nightlies do it as well but sparingly.

Dalvik+Bionic patch for Snapdragon 800

Hi guys,
I've found this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...d-dalvik-bionic-library-optimization-t2537299
Question is, are these libraries compatible with our XZU? Did someone try to flash it?
Tried two (from op and z2) with carbon and got bootloop with both. Didnt try rest

That's weird, just tried from Z2 on .757 and it works. Phone feels much, much smoother, but it may be a placebo.
U used bionic and dalvik or just one of them?
And maybe it works different with stock and aosp roms

I used dalvik+bionic, and yes, I think that it will work only for Sony based ROMs
Ah yes, this is the same files that nearly killed my Ultra the last time i tried these. I can't remember what ROM i was on at the time or any other details, but i'm not touching this again.
Me too. Now everything is enough so why change if ur not sure that it works? Thanks god(s) for recoveries and backups

Well, I'm thankful for the people that tries these things out, but I've already been down that road and I got greedy. My phone is incredible fast and it doesn't lag, still I wanted more, and thus I burned my hand. My Ultra wouldn't start and my computer wouldn't recognize it. It took me 5 hours to get it functional again. All that for what? 500 points in Antutu? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Screen On-Time

Hey everyone,
I just came to the M8 from the Nexus 4 and it's been great. I've gone through the whole rooting procedure but haven't flashed any custom ROM on it yet. I tried to look for this information around the forums but I couldn't find anything about it. Is there a way to get Screen-On time measurements in the stock ROM? Or is it a feature on a custom ROM? Thanks everyone!
There are various apps that can provide this.
Screen on time is something that has been removed from Sense for some time now (since maybe Sense 4+); and I believe Android in general (so I assume GPE ROMs won't have it, either). Although more "modded" or feature packed custom ROMs may have it (CM, etc.). I'm mostly a Sense user, so I can't say for sure.
I have Better Battery Stats which works without root I am fairly certain. The apk is floating around xda but I went ahead and paid for this version on the play store to help support the developer, as it is an app well made and one I use every day to check my screen on time to gauge battery performance

I had wonky times with BBS (however unrooted, so that might have caused it?), but found GSam battery monitor to be pretty good.

Thanks everyone! I'll definitely give these a try and see how they work out for me. Sense has been such a nice ROM for me performance wise and looks wise that I didn't want to go to a aosp based ROM.
